How to use the Plugins in a vue-chartjs chart? - chart.js

I'm using vue-chartjs for my Vue3 app, and I don't really understand how the Plugins work.
I took the BarChart example from the documentation, available here
So, in barChart.ts (line 5 to 14), there are some Plugin imports: "Title", "Legend", etc
Now, I wanted a Title, so I added this code on line 77

It seems to works fine... but if I had a Legend,

The last overload gave the following error.

How can I add this Plugin ?

Setting the type explicitly should get rid of the type error.

ChartJS Choropleth Focusing On US and Not The Entire Earth?

I created this chartJS map to showcase the distribution of registrations for this course. However, i can only see US in the map. Is there an issue with the library or should i use a different project ?

how to show text inside a chart - pie and doughnut?

I have tried a lot of it, but nothing seems to be working as expected.
I need to show the text inside the pie chart.
For the above, I tried using chartjs-plugin-datalabels but then used a formatter to change a value to a value with a percentage.

But that affected both the data point (i.e: [11,200] is by data, I only need to add a percentage to the first data point and not to the second. Show 11% and 200.)

In the above code options in the Pie, the component shows a typescript error while using chartjs-plugin-datalabels library.
The expected type comes from property 'options' which is declared here on type 'IntrinsicAttributes & Omit<ChartProps<"doughnut", number[], unknown>, "type"> & { ref?: ForwardedRef<ChartJSOrUndefined<"doughnut", number[], unknown>> | undefined; }'
2: I need to show text in the center of a Doughnut chart but seems impossible with the library and reactchartjs2 don't have a feature to show text in charts. Tried a possible solution at Add text inside the Doughnut chart of the React-Chartjs-2 box to react but none helped.

How to dynamically update Chartjs legend label colors?

I am using vue-chartjs and chartjs-plugin-colorschemes to style a doughnut graph. I'm trying to allow the user to choose from a select which theme they prefer. I have it 90% working; the user can select a theme, hit update, and the doughnut plus its label correctly change color. What doesn't work though, is on initial page load, the doughnut has a color scheme but the legend does not.
I am currently passing a default theme down as props, and I am using a watch method to watch for changes to the theme. The error occurs inside of this watch method.
How can I dynamically update the legend label colors? Here is a minimal example of my component:

Well I discovered the fix finally.
Essentially in the watch method, I was digging in too deep into the chart instance. By moving up a level in the chart object, both the legend and chart colors are both updated correctly.

Chart.js: Strikethrough tick labels

I'd like to conditionally add a strikethrough to tick labels. As far as I can tell, there's no option to natively do that through Chart.js. Is there a way to hook in through the axes callbacks to add that?
I don't know if that is possible because you are dealing with a canvas element, but you can customize the text in the labels by using the ticks callback as in this example:

Note the callback funcion there, maybe you can use this to give some labels a distinctive text.

Chartjs 2: Multi level/hierarchical category axis in chartjs

Is it possible to define a bar chart with a multi level/category axis?
For instance I'd like to display the Region/Province categories like in this Excel chart:
I found this example using multiple xAxes.

The problem is it seems that the two axes are not really linked and the alignment of second axis is based on values instead of aligning in middle of lower level category. this case cause issues
Is there a clean way to achieve this in chart.js?

I ended up creating a feature request on chartjs.
you can provide value separately for different axis via datesets and provide an object with different configuration option (borderColor, pointBackgroundColor, pointBorderColor) etc, i hope It'll help.

I did a bit of research and couldn't find methods to implement your solution in chartjs. Chartjs has grouped bar charts but not subgrouped bar charts like in your case.
