I use scrollable_positioned_list to scroll to the widget. But for some reason, scrolling only happens after hot reloading. How do I make scrolling happen immediately when creating a widget?
To solve this problem, it was enough to add initialScrollIndex to ScrollablePositionedList.
Read the documentation, guys!

I am using MVC for my project. And I have few views in View. However, I want to know how to add a scrollbar to one view and only make that part can be scrolled vertically.
I have tried using CreateWindowW() for adding WM_VSCROLL parameter, but it does not work.
This is a TUI application, so I think the professor try to make us using a cell as bar, so you can scroll the cell up and down
In PreCreateWindow(CREATESTRUCT& cs), set cs.style |= WS_VSCROLL;.
You may have to respond to WM_VSCROLL to process scroll messages.
Sorry for the confusing. I am resisted to use TUI only. And I misunderstood what the professor needed. So he wanted us to move a color cell so you can scroll up and down for checking player's moves. I am making a Gomoku Game by using C++. So I figure it out, right now my move list view can move up and down for viewing full moves. Thanks for all the answers

I was looking at this article
How to make a Qt Widget grow with the window size?
but when i got to the answer I got stuck on "activating" the central widget. I notice an icon with a red circle so I guess that means its disabled. I've been searching the net to try to figure out how to "activate" it but I am not having any luck.
Can someone please help me out?
Have a look at the layout system.
That icon does not mean your QWidget is disabled, that just mean you do not apply a layout on it.
Try to press like Ctrl+1 in order to apply a basic layout. If nothing has changed, you might need to put a QWidget inside the central widget first and then apply the layout.
I found a conflict between QScroller and QScrollBar. So I have a QScrollArea with vertical scrollbar. I also activate a QScroller that allows me to do kinetic scrolling with left click button. But I can't grab the scrollbar handle any more. Because once I grab it, QScroller begins to take over.
This is how I add the QScroller:
QScroller::grabGesture(mArea, QScroller::LeftMouseButtonGesture) ;
Any idea how can I slove the conflict?
I've had the same issue.
It can be avoided by applying the grabGesture to the viewport of the QScrollArea, instead of the whole widget:
QScroller::grabGesture(mArea->viewport(), QScroller::LeftMouseButtonGesture) ;
I got a solution. I redefined the enterEvent and leaveEvent of QScrollBar, dis-activate and activate the QScroller inside with QScroller::ungrabGesture() QScroller::grabGesture().
It works fine now. Besides, a event filter can also do the job.
I have the following problem:
I have added a spinner to my qt Tool Bar, which is located from top to buttom. This works fine. But now I want to order some buttons in a special order, but with mainToolBar->addWidget(button_name) it would be among one other. So how can I solve it? I tried to make a new widget "widget_1" and added some buttons to this widget, but when I write mainToolBar->addWidget(widget_1) nothing appears, only the one slider I have already added. Can anyone help me?
Thanks a lot :)
Well, just forget something.
select the widget and then layout in a form or whatever layouting you prefer.
And that's it. now, the widget will be shown in toolbar. it's because of size
and child widgets position. by layouting, everything will be resized and position
correctly.
I want to write my own chart control which requires scrolling.
I found that there is a CScrollView but nothing like this for a control.
Other toolkits like Cocoa, QT or GTK offer me a base class where i can set a content view which is displayed in a viewport and saves me from writting all of the scrolling code.
The code for custom scrolling isn't that much. Create the scrollbars, write the message handlers and remember one rectangle for the current visible part.
I would just try it. If you have problems, we are here to help :-)
