I am using the Facebook Ads API (Graph API) to change bid amounts, campaign names and more. However, I am now adopting the minimum ROAS strategy for some campaigns and I don't know how to insert or change this value via API.
I expected the minimum ROAS field to be similar to the Bid Amount field, as the minimum ROAS replaces the bid amount when changing manually on the platform.
Keen to know if anyone has found a solution for this.
The minimum roas field is placed under the "Bid Constraints" field, so that's the place you should be looking for to update it.

I did the amazon personalize deep dive series on youtube. At the timestamp 8:33 in the video, it was mentioned that 'Personalize does not understand negative feedback.' and that any interaction you submit is assumed to be a positive one.
But I think that giving negative feedback could improve the recommendations that we give on a whole. Personalize knowing that a user does not like a given item 'A' would help ensure that it does not recommend items similar to 'A' in the future.
Is there any way in which we can give negative feedback(ex. user doesn't like items x,y,z) to amazon personalize?
A possible way to give negative feedback that I thought of:
Let's say users can give ratings out of 5 for movies. Every time a user gives a rating >= 3 in the interactions dataset, we add an additional interaction in the dataset (i.e we have two interactions saying that a user rated a movie >=3 in the interactions.csv instead of just one). However, if he gives a rating <=2 (meaning he probably doesn't like the movie), we just keep the single interaction of that in the interactions dataset (i.e. we only have one interaction saying that a user rated a movie <=2 in the interactions.csv file)
Would this in any way help to convey to personalize that ratings <=2
are not as important/that the user did not like them?
Negative feedback, where the user explicitly indicates that they dislike an item, is currently not supported as training input for Amazon Personalize. Furthermore, there is currently no way to add weight/reward to specific interactions by event type or event value (see this answer for details).
With that said, you can use impressions with your interactions to indicate items that were seen by the user but that they chose not to interact with. Impressions are only supported by the User-Personalization recipe. From the docs:
Unlike other recipes, which solely use positive interactions (clicking, watching, or purchasing), the User-Personalization recipe can also use impressions data. Impressions are lists of items that were visible to a user when they interacted with (clicked, watched, purchased, and so on) a particular item.
Using this information, a solution created with the User-Personalization recipe can calculate the suitability of new items based on how frequently an item has been ignored, and change recommendations accordingly. For more information see Impressions data.
Impressions are not the same as an explicitly negative interaction but they do imply that the impressed items were considered less relevant/important to the user than the item that they chose to interact with.
Another approach that can be used to consider negative interactions when making recommendations is to have two event types: one event type for positive intent (e.g., "like", "watch", or "purchase") and one event type for dislike (e.g., "dislike"). Then create a Personalize solution that only trains on the positive event type. Finally, at inference time, use a Personalize filter to exclude items that the user has recently disliked.
EXCLUDE ItemID WHERE Interactions.EVENT_TYPE IN ("dislike")
In this case, Personalize is still training only on positive interactions but with the filter you won't recommend items that the user disliked.
I am writing a simple JavaScript which will update my price automatically (I know there are addons but they dont work with the nature of my products) when the user enters amount, size etc etc. I want to know how do I override the product price before/after it is sent to the shopping cart?
Example: The product price is 10€. The user select some variatons and then the price is 22,40€. I want to send that price to the checkout instead of the 10€.
So far I have written my JavaScript which updates the price based on user input and selections. I just need to know how to pass that new price variable and more important WHERE.
Any tips or help would be appreciated.
You mention "variations". Are you using attributes? If so, you can simply attach a price adjustment to each option value. That would be the quickest and most proper way to handle variation-specific pricing.
I am having trouble with my order processing for Opencart 1.5.6. I have a series of checkboxes that if checked each cost $50.00. The problem is that the customer is ordering print materials in quantities of 500, 1000, 5000, etc. When they get to the shopping cart it charges the $50 extra for each option for each individual item ordered based on the quantity. This makes it so that their total skyrockets. If they pick one option for $50 and order 500 business cards they get charged an extra $25,000 for that one option.
The only solution that I can see is to have the Quantity be an option and only allow them to order one product but that does not allow them to change the Quantity of cards in the Cart.
Is there anyway to set it up so that an option charges a flat rate not based on total quantity of the order?
When customizing OpenCart follow these steps.
Look to see if this link has an extension that will do what you want.
If step 1 did not work. Go to your public_html file (the place that has all your code). Open the files that are related to your problem and edit those. There is also an OpenCart forum that will help with common problems.
As far as changing the settings on your payment function. Go look at OpenCart->catalog->checkout folder. Or maybe OpenCart->admin->checkout. You will need to find the function that adds quantity and gives value. You will need to change those around a little.

In fact, it is unnecessary to add the price filter. It is possible to generate the price range filter automatically for products listing when the customer access any category in your store.
I use an advanced products filters module(include price range filter) for my store > http://www.myluvme.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=88_95.
It really help my customers focus in on what they are looking for which will create more sales.
The mod worked out of the box with the default theme and only needed some minor tweaks to work with my custom theme which the developer did for me immediately. i like that it builds upon the framework of oc.
It should be useful to boost your online sales too. I recommend you to try it. You could find it at:

Unlike many other shopping carts there is no a built-in filter in OpenCart that could be considered a normal usable e-commerce store filter unfortunately. The OpenCart filters thing is a super clumsy functionality and it's not very clear for users how to administer it. In our company we use an extension called Brainy Filter http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=19184 They have it for both OpenCart versions but of course you should go with 2.x rather then the old 1.5.x one. All other filters we tried appeared to be either just junk or had very messy interfaces.
Using the Graph API or FQL, is there a way to efficiently find a user's first post or status? As in, the first one they ever made?
The slow way, I assume, would be to paginate through the feed, but for users like me who joined in 2005 or earlier, that would take a very long time with a huge amount of API calls.
From what I have found, we cannot obtain the date the user registered with Facebook for a good starting point, and we cannot sort by date ascending (not outside of the single page of data returned) to get the oldest post on top.
Is there any reasonable way to do this?
you can use facebook query language (FQL) to get first post information.
Please refer below query for more details :-
SELECT message, time FROM status WHERE uid= me() ORDER BY time ASC LIMIT 1
Please check and let me know in case of any issue.

I think the Public API is limited to the depth of information it is allowed to query. Facebook probably put in these constraints for performance and cost concerns. Maybe they've changed it. When I tried to go backwards thru a person's stream about 4 months ago, there seemed to be a limit as to how far back I could go. Maybe it's a time limit or a # posts back limit. If you know when your user first posted, then getting to it should be fairly quick using the since/until time stamps in your queries.
