How to use wso2is features through API calls from my application - wso2

our team is developing a web based system. we wish to use WSO2IS for user management. I installed WSO2IS as in its official site. Now I want to know how to use its features through API calls from my application
I have started the WSO2IS server locally
https://localhost:9443/carbon/admin/index.jsp?loginStatus=true.
I expect to communicate with WSO2IS through API call. But I have no idea how to do that

From this you will be able to get a basic idea on WSO2 IS related APIs.

WSO 2 AM User Management API

I'm currently building an app that consume data from WSO2AM Restful API. I'm using WSO2AM 2.1.0
From what I see from https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM210/Publisher+APIs, there is no API end point for User Management, and the thing is I need that one.
So after doing some google, I found this https://docs.wso2.com/display/IS530/Managing+Users+and+Roles+with+APIs but in that link it's clearly says that it's for WSO2IS
My questions are:
Is there available user management API for WSO2AM (doesn't matter if it's Restful or SOAP-WSDL)
Is this WSO2IS user management API can be used on the WSO2AM ?
Thank you in advance
All WSO2 products are built on a single platform, therefore components of each product are mixed in other products such as user management component is used by all of the WSO2 products even though it is developed as an identity component. Hence you can use the following steps to access the user management soap service in WSO2 API Manager.
Set the "HideAdminServiceWSDLs" element to "false" in /repository/conf/carbon.xml file.
Restart the API Manager Server.
If you have started the server in default configurations, use the following URL in your browser to see the WSDL of the admin service: https://localhost:9443/services/RemoteUserStoreManagerService?wsdl.

What is the official way to customize, extend and move the API Publisher and API Store out of the WSO2 API Manager server?

WSO2 reached out to me in Twitter and told me to put a question here if I had one.
My client wants to customize (for now it only means changing the layout of things) the API Publisher and API Store from a WSO2 API Manager 2.0.0.
Since I know that inevitably we will get to the point where the changes are going to be profound and require external libraries for new functionality (we have a library of AngularJS code which I know they will want to use), I want to know:
What is the official, recommended way to customize and extend the web applications for the API Store and the API Publisher? I need to have version control, unit testing, etc.
Is there a way to move these web apps out of the APIM server and into their own server? All our UI applications are hosted in a specific server.
Realistically, how much change can I introduce before make making an awful mess?
Thank you.
You can create new themes and subthemes for API publisher and store UIs. You can refer docs here.
Please note that publisher and store apps are written in Jaggery. You need a Jaggery server to host Jaggery apps.
If you want to add more functionality to the UI, you can either write jaggery, or you'll have to write your own web application (maybe with AngularJS or any other). In that case, you can use APIM REST APIs to talk to APIM backend.

WSO2 EMM: A way to expose API for a native app building?

I am looking into WSO2 EMM and can't figure one thing: is there a way to expose its API to build a native application store for iPhone? Somewhat a set of basic functions will do:
Authentication
List of applications
Search for application
Install & Uninstall an application
Yes its possible. All the functions in EMM are exposed as APIs. You better look at the scripts at wso2emm-1.1.0\repository\deployment\server\jaggeryapps\emm\api to get an idea on the APIs in EMM. You can find the endpoints inside those js filese. Also please note that this app is written using JaggeryJS. For the authentication you may look at SAML sso which has been used in EMM. For this you could use a modal dialog to load the SSO page or else you may modify it to support OAuth as follows.

Unable to login to WSO AppFactory

WSO2 experts
I downloaded the WSO2 AppFactory, but couldn't login into the web console with admin/admin. Has the default password changed?
Regards,
Terry
Please try with the following credentials
Username:admin#admin.com
password:admin
If you just tried with a downloaded 'binary' set-up of WSO2 App Factory; this will only allow you to log in to the Carbon admin console of the App Factory (If you just clicked on and visited the URL, that was printed on the server console). This Carbon admin console does not have any App Factory specific functionality which you might expect [WSO2 Carbon is the underlying platform which is used by all of the WSO2 products].
Since App Factory runs having few other servers alongside (such as WSO2 AS, WSO2 ELB, Jenkins, Redmine etc) this set up that you are running will not provide the same User interfaces or functionality which you have observed within the setup provided with https://appfactorypreview.wso2.com/samlsso .
I just thought to leave this answer, because; you would get disappointed after spending your time expecting the same Application (User Interfaces) available with the online setup (which I have mentioned with the hyperlink) by running the binary setup(wso2appfactory-1.0.0.zip) that you have downloaded from the WSO2 Web site.

Authentication with CodeIgniter API

I have been working on a PHP project recently and I have created an API that will be consumed by mobile clients. I am using CodeIgniter as it provides a nice restful interface out of the box. I am unexperienced in PHP development and especially securing PHP web services. I was hoping to solicit some information about how I should go about implementing user authentication with my API. The information is not super sensitive but I do need clients to authenticate with the service.
Since my clients are mobile devices I'm uncertain how to go about implementing a membership provider model using CI since I won't have the luxury of a session (or do I?). Will my users merely send their credentials each time a request is made using SSL? Can someone provide me with some direction or documentation that might help?
Thanks!
Use Phil Sturgeon's Rest API. He's already built these things in.
