After a lot of spent time trying to get my article to compile in Ant with Docbook, I can't seem to make FO compilation work. I'm using Xalan 2.7.0, and everything else (both single-page and chunked HTML) compiles perfectly. It's only when I try to compile to FO that I get this error:
Fatal Error! org.apache.xml.utils.WrappedRuntimeException: Could not find variable with the name of fop.extensions Cause: org.apache.xml.utils.WrappedRuntimeException: Could not find variable with the name of fop.extensions
This is pretty strange and I can't seem to resolve it. I even added a <param> value defining the variable it "can't find:"
<xslt style="docbook-xsl/fo/fo.xsl" in="documents/book.xml"
out="output.fo">
<classpath>

</classpath>

Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? It's really weird if you ask me. (Again, using the same code as above, all of my other Docbook compilation works just fine)
Instead of using fo/fo.xsl, try fo/docbook.xsl. That is the main stylesheet for XSL-FO output.

I'm currently building an XSLT stylesheet used to document other XSLT stylesheets in a series of folders and sub-folders. My code pulls out specific details about variables, functions, etc and renders it in an output format. The sheets being read are created by a 3rd party product. Most of them have an XSL extension but some of them are proprietary extensions. I have some files with a DTCBS extension but they are just XSL stylesheets.
I'm currently loading the content of these files into a variable using the XSLT function "collection" as follows:
<xsl:variable name="Collection" select="collection(concat('file:///', encode-for-uri(replace($filePath, '\\', '/')),'?select=*.(xsl|dtcbs|xml);recurse=yes'))" as="node()*"/>
The variable works just fine if I use XSL|XML. But if I include the DTCBS extension, the variable blows up citing "the supplied value is xs:base64Binary".
If I manually put the xml declaration line at the top of my DTCBS file, the variable works fine. Those DTCBS files are auto-generated without the declaration line so I can't fix that, nor can I manually edit them each time I want to run my documenter code.
From what I can tell, because it's not an XSL extension, and the XML declaration line isn't present, the XSLT parser thinks it's base64 when it isn't.
I'm using Saxon as my XSLT parser and the Saxon documentation says it uses file extensions and http headers to detect the file type.
Does anyone know if there is a way to force collection() to treat every file as an XSL?
Tried adding the XML declaration line in the DTCBS file. This did correct the issue but I can't do this in all cases as I am trying to automate the entire thing.
I also renamed the DTCBS extension to XSL and the problem went away as well.
As well as Martin's suggestion, you can register content types with the Saxon configuration:
processor.getUnderlyingConfiguration()
.registerFileExtension("dtcbs", "application/xml");
This has been available since Saxon 9.7.
Try to add e.g. content-type=application/xml e.g. '?select=*.(xsl|dtcbs|xml);recurse=yes;content-type=application/xml'.
I'm trying to generate Java sources for a Web Service with Apache CXF wsdl2java executable (I've tried 2.7.8 and 3.2.0 versions).

I solved it creating a new input message type in dlVideoSwitchStatusRequest operation to avoid this. My steps were:

This one is too generic and I didn't found any info or doc from Apache site.
First, you must no assume the TMDD wsdl is well generated. I worked with it some time ago and is plenty of errors.
I recommend you to re-create your own version of TMDD.wsdl file, limiting it only to those items you're going to use.
Try that and tell us what you got.
Well, as B. Leal suggest, i drop old tmdd.wsdl and re-do my wsdl files with separate files for each device i will need data for.
As most work has been re-done, i'm not 100% sure about where that error came from, but i'm pretty sure that it was related with some types used in the old wsdl that wasn't declared properly in xsd files.
I know this is not a big help, but if someone falls in this same error, i think you only have two choices:
Re-do your wsdl files, as i did. (I recommend this one, it's easier than it seems)
Check if every single type used in wsdl are present in xsd files and if they're correct.

I had the same problem and mine was in XSD. Forgot to add namespace before type. tns and targetNamespace are the same url.
Before:

This simple change in all elements using complexType/simpleType fixed the problem.
I ran into this issue recently - when I try to replace the Wix Product version number using NANT XMLPOKE task, it returns the following error message "No matching nodes found".

Initially I thought that this was an issue with XPATH statement that I wrote. So I kept trying with different XPATH (like \Wix) and I kept getting the same message back.
Understood from a blog that this is happening due to the namespace definition with the WiX element. Please find below the solution, in case someone doesn't find the blog.
The issue happens because of the namespace definition within the Wix element. You have to add the below changes to get the XMLPOKE working:

Which class of tomcat is responsible for converting .jsp file to .class file? I want to see the source code written for the conversion. My aim is to check the logic how scriptlet comments are eliminated and based on that I'll write my own code that will remove HTML comments as well (I've not decided how will I implement it).
I am sure source code should be available as it's open source.
Or is it possible to implement some kind of filter so the each time server returns a JSP page it removes the comments. I can replace all HTML comments into Scriptlet comments. But I want to ensure, if someone use html comments in future, it is not displayed. It's basically for security.

Rather than doing it in Tomcat, use Apache directly. It supports modules which do exactly what you need. mod pagespeed is probably closest to what you want; mod deflate may be configurable to do the same thing, though it also compresses the data, which might be overkill.
As a nice side-effect, this allows you to leave your handy comments in and they'll be served to your internal users (developers) who use port 8080, while those using port 80 will see only the minified product.
How can I retrieve the current working directory with XSLT version 1.0?

But it requires version 2.0 and I am not sure if I have that as when I tried switching to 2.0 I get an error.

You say in a comment that you're using the processor "which comes with Ant 1.8.2". In that case the simplest answer may be to pass in the current directory as a parameter
