i use this plugin (https://github.com/tkarkuvelraja/heat_map_chart_apex_plugin) in Oracle Apex.
And my simple question is: how can I make it possible for the plugin to refresh? DA refresh does not work. So it is only possible to render the plugin once when the page is loaded. I don't want to work with submit page and redirect if it is not necessary.
I want to achieve an refresh like an interactive report. (DA refresh)

I am setting up dynamic filters for the IG using new APEX_IG package method add_filter. So from Page 1 I click oin the link to go to Page 2 where I have interactive grid. Through that link I set a couple of page items on page 2 and based on those items I create filters using APEX_IG.ADD_FILTER. So the setting of the filters has to be done on PAGE_LOAD.
On page load I use a DA that calls APEX_IG.ADD_FILTER if a specific page item is not null. When I open the page first time, I do not see the filters applied, they only show up after I manually refresh the page. I added a refresh action for the IG after executing ADD_FILTER but that does not do anything - in order to see the change I still have to manually refresh the page.
I cannot add any refresh action or submit page action under page load since that will refresh the page repeatedly. What is the best way to programmatically refresh the page after applying or removing the filters?
If the issue is just on page load, you could add the call to APEX_IG.ADD_FILTER in a pre-rendering page process instead of a dynamic action. This works fine for me. This blog also explains that a full page refresh is needed.
I have a form on top of a report, and when the user updates values in the report, the form pops up, they make edits, and then click "Apply Changes". There are many rows in the report and right now I have pagination set per every 15 pages. The report is set to enable partial refreshes so the data updates right after the user clicks "Apply Changes". However, if I am on any page other than the first page of the report, it resets the pagination and brings me back to the first page. Is there a way to update the report but stay on the page I'm making the edit for? That way the user can immediately see the change they made through the form.
I was able to solve the issue by using a Dialog Closed dynamic action executing the following javascript:
window.location.reload(false);
It refreshes the browser after the user makes edits, and the pagination does not reset. This is a workaround because the Refresh dynamic action resets pagination. Again this is in APEX 5.1.3.
Which Apex version do you use? I've just tried it on apex.oracle.com which runs Apex 20 and - no problem at all. Once I edit some value in a form, branch returns me to interactive report, to exactly the same page which I left.
Check branch's Behavior - it is set to redirect to page or URL, target is page where the interactive report is; check other properties for the target. Its action should be set to "None" (offered are: clear regions, reset regions, reset pagination which might be set in your branch properties).
I have an oracle apex page that saves the data to a table while page processing ,when a button is clicked. After this I call a report query and generates a pdf report.After the pdf report is generated, the page stops execution without completing the page submit action. Hence the page items do not get refreshed and the page do not reloads. The control goes to the newly generated pdf report. Anybody have a solution for this?
Edit
A button 'SAVE' is created for calling the report query 'SLIP'. Then inside the page a dynamic action is created . javascript code is written inside DA. This javascript will submit the button using the code
apex.submit('SAVE')
A pl/sql page process is also created for this save button. This will work after above JavaScript code is executed at point 'processing'. After this, report query 'SLIP' is called and pdf report is generated and it is opened in adobe reader. Then the page stops executoin, page do not gets submitted . The page item values will not be cleared and the page do not reloads. That is the issue I'm facing
Use JavaScript Code:
apex.submit('BUTTONNAME');
This is a two part question.
Using Web Forms for Marketers 2.3:
Is it possible to have a cookie be created on successful submission?
Without actually exporting the ascx file, would like to keep it in Sitecore.
Second question, would it be better to have a content editor choose which item has the form or would it be better/easier to have a dropdown to pick which form is needed and then have the code determine which form to show.
Thank for any insight!!!
For the First question,
If you have Sitecore DMS, on a successful submission there is an event, and a Goal maybe you can use that, insteed of a cookie.
See https://doc.sitecore.net/sitecore%20experience%20platform/personalization/walkthrough%20personalizing%20components for using it with personalization rules the picturs are for Sitecore 8 but basically the same for Sitecore 6.5+
Programmatically you can use the Analytics API, see https://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore6/65/engagement_analytics_api_cookbook_sc65-a4.pdf for Sitecore 6. The API has changed considerably with Sitecore 7.5.
An alternative is to set the cookie on the Success page.
you can have a Success page, or a Success message in WFFM. for a message use something like this:
Thanks <script>document.cookie="formsuccess=ok";</script>
I have created a Sharepoint hosted app for Office 365. It has a page file "default.aspx". I have added an XSLTListViewWebpart on that page, referring a custom List I created within my APP project. I have a requirement that on a button click event, I need to change the View of the List displayed in the XSLTListViewWebpart. Since there is no server code within the APP, would this be possible in javascript? Or would it be possible to somehow change the query that the webpart uses?
You can try to use Javascript object model to achieve this. Please see this article.
