Change Visual data field name for a powerbi embedded report - powerbi

I have a powerbiembedded report. I need to change the data field in one of the visual of the report. I looked through the API but couldn't find one. Can Any one help me how can i can change the dispaly name using API.

setDataFieldDisplayName can be used to change the data field of the visual.
1.Get the data field display name of the visual. This methods take two variables as parameters. dataRole and index.
const oldDisplayName = await lastCreatedVisual.getDataFieldDisplayName('Y', 0);
Use the API to change the data field of the visual. This methods take three variables as parameters. dataRole, index and newDisplayName.
const newDisplayName = "NEW_DISPLAY_NAME"; // New DisplayName to be Updated await lastCreatedVisual.setDataFieldDisplayName('Y', 0, newDisplayName)

What is the best way to take filter context from Power BI to Power App Edit/Write Data Form?

I am trying to take the filter context from my PBI dashboard to a Power App Edit Form. The scenario is as follows:
I have two tables:
Comments_Table:(empty until write back data is submitted)
Salesperson
Comments
Date
Value
Salesperson_Table:
Salesperson
Information
Salesperson1
1
Salesperson2
2
The Power App should allow users to Write Back data for the following columns to the Comments_Table:
Comments (free text)
Date (date)
Value (free text)
Every new entry should be a new row in the table.
The selected Salesperson should also be written back but should be set by the users' selection in a PBI filter. For instance, in the dashboard, users will be forced to select a unique salesperson, and this should filter the Power App.
I currently have two issues. I have set up a Form that makes a LookUp on a gallery which references the Salesperson table via the PowerBIIntegration.Data. Salesperson is in the form as a view text only item.
I am only able to filter to values that already exist in the Comments table (I prefilled some dummy rows) - it does not currently take the value from the Salesperson table...
Every new entry in the Edit Data Form overwrites the previous entry
for that salesperson. It should add a new of data instead...
Any ideas on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated...

Oracle Apex- Enter a value and convert it to a link

I have a Master Detial with 2 interactive grids.
I would like to be able to genrate a link based on user input....is that at all possible?
To give a simple example:
Lets say I have website like https://www.google.com/
I would like a user to enter anything...for example "Prague"
Once this is entered, I would like APEX to generate a URL from it to result in: https://www.google.com/Prague
Now I know that Google search does not work like that, but I need that sort of mechanism for our internal company app. Is this possible?
Ideally , once the grid is saved the link in the Interactive grid only said "Prague" but if I click it, it would direct me to https://www.google.com/Prague
This can be achieved using the "JavaScript Initialization Code" attribute of the column.
Example on the EMP sample table (*). Functionality is that when a user enters a value in the ENAME column, it is converted to a google search url.
Create an editable IG on table EMP
Set the type of column ENAME to "Text Field"
Set "Javascript Initialization Code" for column "ENAME" to
function(config) {
config.defaultGridColumnOptions = {
cellTemplate: '&ENAME.'
};
return config;
}
Notice that the column now is a link. A user will have to open in new window to get the actual link value, since clicking the column will active the edit mode.
(*) Sample dataset can be installed using SQL Workshop > UTILITIES > Sample Data Sets > EMP/DEPT
yes, you can let user enter the value and by creating a dynamic action(choose the when attribute as whatever suits you) you can take that value and on another column, use that column as &Columnvalue. for example and concatanate it by using to base url using ||

Calculated column based on What-if parameter

I have a table visual in PowerBI that summarizes work hours by employee. The first column shows the employee name.
When training managers on how to use it I want to anonymize by showing employee numbers instead of names.
I tried adding a what-if parameter Anonymous with values 0 and 1 and use IF() in the DAX of a calculated column but it is not working. It ignores the parameter value.
Person = IF(Anonym[Anonym value] = 0; Time[Name]; Time[Empno])
will always show Name.
Person = IF(Anonym[Anonym value] = 1; Time[Name]; Time[Empno])
will always show Empno.
Another option if you really need to use a column and needs it to be "dynamic" is to use a PowerQuery parameter and add a new column based on it and then create your conditional. The downside of this is that you will have to refresh your query everytime you want to change the parameter

Filling a DataGridView ComboBox with values in C/C++

I'm creating a windows forms application for university. My data is stored in multible c arrays of abstract data types. Each array is displayed in it's own datagridview. This all works no problem.
Since the data is connected like in a database I added a new column to my parent table and set the ColumnType to DataGridViewComboBoxColumn. Now I need to fill this combobox with the data of a different array / datagridview.
I've already tried to add the options manually from my array as discribed in this question: Filling DataGridView ComboBox programatically in unbound mode?. Since I need to use C/C++ and this example uses vb the used functions are not availible. I can select my column dataGridView1->Columns[0] but the ->Items does not exist.
Is it possible to create a datasource from my arrays to link them directly? Or have I overlooked a way to add them manually from my array?
You don't provide any code, neither you describe well where did you ran into a problem. Assuming you're after unbound list to be filled into the DataGridViewComboBoxColumn, here is a simple example.
C#:
DataTable dt;
dt.Columns.Add("ID", typeof(Int32));
dt.Columns.Add("Category", typeof(string));
dt.Rows.Add({1, "Fruits"});
dt.Rows.Add({2, "Vegetables"});
dt.Rows.Add({3, "Trees"});
DataGridViewComboBoxColumn dgCol = this.DataGridView1.columns("Category");
dgCol.ValueMember = "ID";
dgCol.DisplayMember = "Category";
dgCol.DataSource = dt;
In this example, we create a DataTable, fill it with desired values and use it as a DataSource of the DataGridViewComboBoxColumn. Obviously, your values provided to this column in the DataGridView DataSource must match IDs in the list in new DataTable "dt".
You can convert an array or other data into DataTable or even use them directly as DataSource. It depends on what data you have. The principle will be very similar, though.
VB.NET:
Dim dt As DataTable
dt.Columns.Add("ID", GetType(Int32))
dt.Columns.Add("Category", GetType(String))
dt.Rows.Add({1, "Fruits"})
dt.Rows.Add({2, "Vegetables"})
dt.Rows.Add({3, "Trees"})
Dim dgCol As DataGridViewComboBoxColumn = Me.DataGridView1.columns("Category")
dgCol.ValueMember = "ID"
dgCol.DisplayMember = "Category"
dgCol.DataSource = dt

Obtain MAX of column and display for each row

I'm trying to obtain the MAX of a particular column in a Power BI Report and place this as a new Measure within each ROW of the same dataset. Please see the example below.
Is this possible in DAX and via DirectQuery/LiveConnection? The report is pointing to a tabular model but due to outside factors the measure must be created in the report.
Thanks
You can accomplish this a few ways. Essentially, you need override the filter context so that the MAX function isn't just running over whatever slice you're showing in the visual. Using CALCULATE or the iterator function MAXX, set the wrap the table in the ALL() function to override the context and calculate max over all rows.
= CALCULATE(MAX([Calendar`Year]), ALL('Smithfield_Fiscal_Calendar'))
or
= MAXX(ALL('Smithfield_Fiscal_Calendar'), [Calendar`Year])
To get the breakout by date, you'll need to include a Date table in your model. PowerBI makes this possible with a few different DAX options. As an example, go to your Model tab, click 'New Table' and put in the following expression:
MyCalendar = CALENDAR(DATE(2019,1,1), DATE (2019,1,10))
This is a little trivial -- you'd want to use a useful range of dates but this one matches your example above. Next, add a column to [MyCalendar]
CalendarMonthYear = month([date]) & "-" & year([date])
Go to your budget table and add a similar field
BudgetMonthYear = month([date]) & "-" & year([date])
Go into your Model view and create a relationship between CalendarMonthYear and BudgetMonthYear. This will associate every date in the date table with the particular budget row from your budget table.
Hope it helps.
