enter image description hereHaving some trouble managing interactions between slicers and graphs in PowerBI.
I have filter for different Mock test(using slicer) and graphs for consolidated report and sectionwise report but when we select particular Mock Test eg: Mock test 1 Only the consolidated report will display the mock test 1 but in section wise it will display all the mock test Can you please help?
And i have given edit interactions in format section as filter enter image description here
First select the slicer. You will see a new format tab in the ribbon. Select edit interactions.
You will get the two icons for each chart in the sheet. Clicking on that circle icon makes the filter interaction on or off for that chart. If you see my filter in the sheet is only applicable to two bar charts and not for the table chart. Hope this answers your question

I m having two hierarchy slicer and want to set edit interaction between them

I have a scenario where I am using date and country slicers along with maps in my report along with some stacked charts.
When I click on the map for one country it filters the data based on that country I have selected but the filter is not reflected in slicers.
Is there any way that I can use the map only to display the counts without having select, in other words, no selection allowed on the maps?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!
Go to Format tab and select Edit Interaction option as shown in the below image. Now select your Map visual and set Filter = None in other visuals you don't like to interact when click on the Map.
I have data from different insurance companies.
For these companies I made a scatterplot with Net Premium on the X Axis and Net profit on the y axis.
In the Report I also have 3 bar charts and a table.
I have filters for years, category and company.
The scatterplot ignores the years filter and is filtered by the category filter.
I am trying to highlight the chosen Company in, and only in, the scatterplot.
For example, I filter for a category so my scatterplots shows all data points for the given companies that lie within the category.
Now I want the "company filter" to highlight the data point in my scatterplot.
I tried to do this with conditional formatting but my scatterplot does not take conditional formatting.
I also looked at the method on this site
http://sqljason.com/2018/03/highlighting-scatter-charts-in-power-bi-using-dax.html
This however is not what I want because I don't want to have another bar chart.
I want my company filter to directly highlight my scatterplot. Does anyone know a way how to do this?
You can do this by editing your interactions. Select the filter you want to edit the interaction for. You now get a tab format, select it and select "Edit interactions".
In the example below, I selected the Score filter and disable the Employee table from acting on the filter.
I want to create a target and current amount of data in a power KPI chart. I have tried a lot but the lines are not shown properly in the chart. I have attached a screenshot of my chart.
I want to show the target and the current status separately via lines per month.
try using Gauge Visual it will give you both in this i am unable to understand your data can to please share what are the fields you are using and how
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-radial-gauge-charts
above will show you how to use Gauge
Drag the line-chart from the visualizations pane and then add Date to axis then drop current and target values under the value field.
If not working then post sample data to work with.
I have a filter for different customer categories- Platinum, Gold, Silver, Iron
& two bar graphs for customers and products.
I want that when I select a category from the filter, the graphs should show only those customers and products with the help of edit options.
Can you please help?
If your filter columns are in any way linked to the chart (same table, relationship between two different tables is active) this should work automatically.
However it could be that someone tunred the interaction off. To see the interaction icons click on your filter visual and go to Format > Edit Interactions. Now you will see on all the other charts/filter this two symbols:
If the left diagram icon is grey: This means your selected visual will interact with this visual.
If the right circle icon is grey: This means your selected visual will not interact with this visual.
