I have encountered two issues below my codes. They should be a simple fix but I couldn't figure them out by myself.
The first issue is I cannot pass my nested ForEach loop to change the system images. The reason I used for nested ForEach loop is the Xcode always throw the error "Expression was too complex to be solved in reasonable time". Here is the original link for this problem.

The second issue is the app crashed when I scroll down to the bottom. When I replace LazyVStack with regular VStact, it works. But I want to use LazyVStack in this case. Please guide me for both of the issues. Thanks you in advance.

I have the following view and I'm attempting to have it scroll to the bottom on button click as elements are added to the list. I've searched and found that ScrollViewReader is the option to use however my implementation doesn't appear to be working.
My attempts at fixing have included explicitly setting the id of the cell on both the inner views as well as the outer HStack{} I even attempted to set the id to a reference of itself, kind of knowing that's a bad idea, but for brevity. Since you're modifying the array, this should work:
1: call the function in the main thread (DispatchQueue.main.async)
-> this will "kinda" work, it will scroll but not to the current but the previous last item
2: (Workaround) handle scrolling in a change-handler (you could also remove the shouldScroll variable if all changes should make it scroll to the bottom)

The issue about this nested ForEach approach is that the LazyVStack always crashes when I scroll to the bottom of the pages. Also, I don't know how to update the system images. I can use regular VStack but these arrays will be a lot so I need LazyVStack. So, please help me to do a better way to shorten the if statements. Please please don't comment if you don't know or if you are not sure what you are doing. I posted similar questions four to five times here already. They all ended up with useless comments and they are worthless for a beginner level who really try to learn something new.

I've found that when parsing SwiftUI, the compiler has trouble evaluating what would seem like simple boolean expressions. In other words, your original code should actually work, but the compiler has trouble parsing it.

I didn't find any solution based on List, we have to ask Apple to publish xxxxStyle protocols and underlying structures.

Clearly the row spacing is not fixed value! We have to calculate it for every row separately.

Setting .opacity(0) on the NavigationLink seems to be the most reliable solution for me because I noticed that it might show the indicators again when messing with the .listStyle property. You will also not lose the highlighted effect.

Although .background(...).opacity(0) works, in a more complex view it expands itself through all the view and conflicts with other elements like buttons.
If you need it inside a List, what worked for me is also marking the NavigationLink as .disabled(true):

Finally found out a way how to avoid the the chevron without doing some tricky ZStacks and other solutions. The only downside is that this is only tested on iOS 16 with the new NavigationPath + NavigationStack.
Instead of using a regular NavigationLink where you apply the hashable object, you'll just use a regular Button and append the object to the NavigationPath.

I set the opacity of the navigationLink to zero and it work like a charm
