I am using C++ & CLR to create a GUI in Visual studio. The whole app is like a calculator for the price of transport and the costs associated with it for my work. At work, we are using Helios and we are able to export certain data to Excel. Specifically, the prices of transport, packaging materials, etc. And what I need is for my program to be able to read certain cells in Excel where prices and other variables are recorded and calculate with it so that I don't have to rewrite all the values manually in the source code.
I spent a lot of time looking for a solution but couldn't find anything that referred to my problem. Is it even possible to build such a program? I don't want anyone to solve it for me. Maybe I just missed some banality and just need some direction. And as far as I understand, the CSV format is irrelevant for me, because I need to work with a few specific cells that Helios pre-fills for me in the Excel sheet.
Also how to make SAS Enterprise Guide to go to Output Data tab after a successful run instead of Results tab?
It's going to go to Results if you produce results, I don't think there's any way around that. You will get all of the datasets produced in that program in the Output Data tab, as well.
However, I'm going to venture a guess here: you're using EG like a single window programming environment, right? You have a single long program? If so, then the answer is simple: split your program up. EG is intended to have lots of small programs, each of which have a very specific goal and output. Think of it as steps: each program node is just one step, could be even just one data step. Then you link several programs together, in sequence, and run them all as a process flow (or an ordered list).
If you treat it that way, then it works very much like you say: you can have one program that has one output dataset and no results window, if your last program in a process flow just produces one dataset and no results.
I am a beginner in visual studio and has only code C and C++ in command line settings.
Currently, I am taking a module(software development) which requires me to come up with an expense tracker - a program which helps user tracks his/her daily expenses. Therefore, at the end of each individual day, or after a user uses finishes the program, we would have to perform data storage to store all the info in one place which we would export it during the next usage.
My constraint include not using any relational database(although i have no idea what it is :( ). Data storage must be done using XML or text files. Following this, I have several questions regarding data storage:
1) If data is stored successfully, do we export it everytime we start the program? And everytime after the user closes the program, we overwrite the existing data file and then store it accordingly?
2) I have heard from some people that using text file may be easier. Searching on the internet and library only provides me with information regarding XML and not text. Would anyone be able to help me with it? Like tutorials link and stuff?

File writing/handling works similar to every other buffer in c++.
you can enable file handling using the fstream header. You can create a file, write to it and over-write every time the program is run, or can even create a file the first time the program is run and then append to it every subsequent time the program runs.
Ive only ever done text files, never tried XML, but Im guessing they're similar.

Your choice of XML vs plain text depends on the kind of data that you'll be storing.
The reason why you'll only find XML libraries on the internet is because XML is a lot more complicated than plain text. If you don't know what XML is or if the data that you're storing isn't very complex, then I would suggest going with plain text.
For example, to track expenses, you might store a file like this:
sandwich 5.00
coffee 2.30
soft drink 1.50
...
It's very easy to read/write lines like this to/from a file in C++.
i wanna make a program on c++ that tells you how many days, years and months need to pass to get to a certain date. Also i wanna include how many hours and minutes need to pass.
So my problem is that i do not know how to get the current date and time to a variable from the command "time" on cmd or anyway to get the current date date and time so it will work.
I accespt the program done already so i can see it and end my doubts.

Available in this weird SAS format. How can I convert them into XML/CSV, something much simpler that can be read by scripts/etc.???

It has alot of the same features as SAS Universal Viewer, but its still a work in progress.
You need to have Adobe AIR installed, you can get that on the adobe website.
Are the data in the SAS XPORT (.xpt) or .sas7bdat format?
For future reference, SAS XPORT files can be read and written using the 'SASxport' package for R (http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/SASxport/index.html).

SAS Institute (the company that makes SAS) produces a viewer for SAS data sets.
Note that SAS program files usually have the extension .sas, whereas the data files themselves usually have the extension .sas7bdat.
(EDIT: I notice belatedly that your title says on a Mac, so this may not help much as I believe the tool is Windows only.)
Here a quick-and-dirty python five-liner to convert a SAS .xpt (aka XPORT) file to .csv

I looked into the link you shared there are no directly downloadable files, but I am assuming that you mean the files for windows.
For viewing you can use the folloiwng
a. SAS Universal viewer: https://support.sas.com/downloads/package.htm?pid=667
b. Use SAS on mac to directly read the files
For conversion you can do the following
a. Use SAS proc import to export and proc export to export the files feature,
b. Use third party softwares, e.g., DBMSCopy for this;
c. Download trial version of JMP and convert the files to desired format, e.g., CSV/txt etc and get done with it.
