What I want to do:
Check if 4 of my cells are blank or not
If all of them are not blank, then its okay, else display nothing ("")
I want it to be auto dragged down
What I have tried
=arrayformula(if(AND(not(A1:D=""),not(B1:B=""),not(C1:C=""),not(D1:D="")),"ok",""))
Result
Although the statements of AND is true, it displays nothing ""
What can be the issue in the formula?
When we use AND() , OR() it won't work with array, I'm not sure why
But we can count true/false as a number of 1 = true and 0 = false
=arrayformula(if(not(A1:A="")+not(B1:B="")+not(C1:C="")+not(D1:D="")>3,"ok",))
AND is not supported in AF.
use in row 1:
=ARRAYFORMULA(IF((A1:A<>"")*(B1:B<>"")*(C1:C<>"")*(D1:D<>""); "ok"; ))

How to make my ARRAYFORMULA(A1 + something else) to stop producing results after there are no more values in A1 column, eg. to skip blank values. By default it gives endlessly "something else".
Here is my demo sheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AikL5xRMB94BKwG34Z_tEEiI07aUAmlbNzxGZF2VeYs/edit?usp=sharing
Actual data in column A1 is regularly changing, rows are being added.
I tried the others and they didn't work. This does though:
=ARRAYFORMULA(filter(A1:B;A1:A<>"";B1:B<>""))
use:
=ARRAYFORMULA(IF(A1:A="";;A1:A+1000))
You can try this formula =ARRAYFORMULA(IF(ISBLANK(A1:A),"",(A1:A + B1:B))) if this works out for you.

My current formula populates Missed, Meets, Nearly Meets, and Exceeds. But I can't seem to figure out how to include "N/A" or create a blank cell in the formula.
My forumla so far:
=if(AND(L40>=14.5, L40<=16.4),"Nearly Meets", if(AND(L40>=4.5, L40<=14.4),"Meets", if(AND(L40>=15.5),"Missed","Exceeds")))
So, if L40 has any range of these number, M40 populates any of these Texts. How can I add to the formula so a blank cell populates "N/A" . Or, entering "TBD" in a cell leaves it blank or populates "N/A"
I'd rather use IFS formula or VLOOKUP here. It's short and clear.
=ifna(vlookup(B2,F2:G6,2,true),"value not found")
On a side you make a table of requirements and go through it using vlookup.
If you have no space anywhere in your sheet, you can also include value table into your formula using curly brackets:
=ifna(vlookup(B2,{0,"Missed";4.5,"Nealry Meets";14.4,"Meets";15.5,"Exceeds";"","Empty"},2,true),"value not found")
For values outside the set you can use IFNA formula.
If you use indentation before writing the final formula, it looks like this:
if(AND(L40>4.4; L40<=16.4){
"Nearly Meets";
}
else if(AND(L40>=4.5; L40<=14.4){
"Meets";
}
else if(L40>16.4){
"Missed";
}
else if(L40 = ""){
"N/A";
}
else {
"EXCEEDS"
}
Notice that I didn't use the condition if(L40<4.5), because a blank cell can be interpreted as 0, which is always less than 4.5, so you would never reach the N/A condition. By better determining your ranges, it gets easier to escape the exceeds case. It may not be your case, but if you had 2 or more digits after the decimal point, it could give you an unexpected result.
That said, you can now use the formula as
=if(AND(L40>4.4, L40<=16.4), "Nearly Meets", if(AND(L40>=4.5, L40<=14.4), "Meets", if(L40>16.4, "Missed", if(L40 = "", "N/A", "EXCEEDS"))))
I am getting two values one is printing Cash and other is printing CASH in sap crystal report. Now, I want that wherever Cash is showing at that time value should be false while if CASH is printing then the value should show true. So, for that I added the formula but didnt work,
here is my formula,
if(ProperCase({TmpSalesBillInstallmentReport.PaymentType}) = true)
then {TmpSalesBillInstallmentReport.PaymentType}= '0'
else if(UpperCase({TmpSalesBillInstallmentReport.PaymentType}) = true)
{TmpSalesBillInstallmentReport.PaymentType} = '1'
This formula is not working, even getting error i.e. A Boolean Is Required Here(indicating on the first line)
I surfing in net but didnt get related question also.
IF {TmpSalesBillInstallmentReport.PaymentType} = "CASH" Then True ELSE False;
Note: A Crystal formula cannot assign a value to a database field. The field value is Read Only!
UpperCase() function is not a test that returns true or false. It simply returns the text argument after converting it to all upper case.
You might have a setting causing comparisons to be case insensitive.

I cannot find a solution to my problem:
I have a sheet with ~290 rows and ~80 columns. The first row and column are fixed/header.
I would like to collect non-blank values and their header into column B.
I've tried to search for solutions, but I'm not as good at excel, so I cannot wrap my head around most of the advice that I've found.
In Google Sheets you could use an Array formula. I got this:
The formula I've used:
=ArrayFormula(CONCATENATE(IF(--(C2:G2<>"")*COLUMN($C$1:$G$1)<>0;$C$1:$G$1&" "&C2:G2;"")))
This is how it works:
(--(C2:G2<>"") will return an array of 0 and 1 if the cell is blank or not
COLUMN($C$1:$G$1) will return an array of column numbers of each cell
(C2:G2<>"")*COLUMN($C$1:$G$1) we multiply both arrays, so we will get an array of column numbers of non blank cells and 0 of blank cells
<>0;$C$1:$G$1&" "&C2:G2;"") We check if each number in the array obtained in step 3 is 0 or not. If it's 0, it returns a null value, if not, it returns the value of cell
CONCATENATE will concatenate all values from previous array (step 4) so we concatenate null values with real values of non blank cells.
Not sure if this will make the sheet load slower if you have too many records.
Hope this helps
Excel is not the same Google Sheets
=ARRAYFORMULA(TRIM(REGEXREPLACE(
TRANSPOSE(
QUERY(TRANSPOSE(IF(C2:F13<>"",C1:F1 & ", ","")),,99^99)
),
"((\s+)|(,\s*$))",
" "
)))
My sample
use:
=ARRAYFORMULA(REGEXREPLACE(TRIM(TRANSPOSE(QUERY(TRANSPOSE(
IF(C2:G<>"", C1:G1&" "&C2:G&",", )),,99^99))), ",$", ))
I'm trying to highlight a row if the number of blank cells between say, C1 and E1 = 3
and then copy this down for every row.
I've tried using:
=IF(COUNTBLANK($C1:$E1)=3)
But it's not working, can anybody help?
Under conditional formatting, your formula should be the following based on what you've given. The reason is conditional format is trying to see the result as TRUE or False. The IF statement is trying to tell the computer what to do when it's TRUE or FALSE.
COUNTBLANK($C1:$E1)=3
if you want to use IF you will need to do it like this:
=IF(COUNTBLANK($C1:$E1)=3, 1)
