Get parent node value for each specific child - xslt

I would like to return a matrix as follows :
key1 -> Val1
Key1 -> Val2
key2 -> Val1
key2 -> Val2
key2 -> Val3
In other words, for each CC node I would like to return only the previous AA nodes.
Can you please help me getting the right xslt 1.0 code?
XML example :

In simple words I am looking for a way to create node (in item.xml) and add here value ( from category.xml) based on (item.xml): search in category.xml for the same -> if found, add it -> search more based on (if success add separator + value) -> loop.

Text value of input xml element as final xslt output

I have a scenario where the input(source) xml is having an element which contains a valid well formed xml as string. I am trying to write an xslt that would give me the text value of that desired element which contains the payload xml. In essence, output should only be text of the element that contains it. Here is what I am trying, am I missing something obvious here. I am using xslt 1.0

Convert short form days of the week to day names in xslt

I have some short form day names like so:
M -> Monday
T -> Tuesday
W -> Wednesday
R -> Thursday

How can I convert an xml element like <days>MRF</days> into the long version <long-days>Monday,Thursday,Friday</long-days> using xslt?

The currently accepted solution always displays the long days names in chronological order and in addition, it doesn't display repeating (with same code) days.
