migration problem while hosting a django project on PythonAnywhere

I recently finished my django project and i switched my database from the local SQLite database, provided by django, to an online postgreSQL database provided by elephantSQL. Clearly, by entering my database credential in the setings.py file of my django project i am able to migrate to my new database locally while not on my host's bash console. Meaning that, when i run my server on port 8000 it loads my data from the postgreSQL, but when i push my website to PythonAnywhere and try to run my migrations from the bash console of PythonAnywhere it throws out the following error:`
django.db.utils.OperationalError: connection to server at "'USER'.db.elephantsql.com" ("DATABASE_IP"), port 5432 failed: Connection refused
Is the server running on that host and accepting TCP/IP connections?
`
I even changed my database Host from elephanSQL to nhost, but still it promps the same result.

Can't access django development server on a remote vps

I've just got a VPS with Ubuntu 18.04 on it.
Now I want to move my Django app I've been developing on a local PC to the VPS. I moved it and it starts okay - it says the server is running on 0.0.0.0:8000.
So the server is running fine, but I can't connect to it from a web browser on my local PC. Note: I'm trying to access it with ip of the server (ip:8000)
I have port 8000 enabled with netstat and I have added the IP to ALLOWED_HOSTS.
Update: I managed to access it using ngrok. By running the command ngrok http 8000 I got the url with which I was able to access the server.
Now I'd like to know how can I access it with IP.

configuring Django Channels for windows in production

Please, I need to configure Django Channels on redis-channel-layer on windows IIS in production. It is running very well in development.
I have installed redis, daphne. I have set the IIS as proxy server with URL Rewrite pointing the Inbound to localhost 6379 to redis-layer channels. I used python manage.py runworker. and also started the daphne server with the daphne command.
They all ran very well, but there is no websocket handshake for my url.

Access VM Django Dev Server from Hyper-V VM Host Physical Machine

I am currently using Hyper-V to create a ubuntu 18.04.1 Desktop VM. On this VM I am creating a Django Dev Server using the following:
python manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8000
When I go to the 0.0.0.0:8000 on the vm I am presented with the Django debug page. However, when I to the url on my desktop I Unable to connect screen.
When I run the server with an IP of anything other than 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1, I just Error: That IP address cab't be assigned to.
My Hyper-V Virtual Switch is an external network with my physical machines network adapter.
I am using Python 3.6.5, and Django 2.1
How do I access the Django Development Server on my VM hosts machine browser.

Visit webpage hosted on ubuntu server in a local network

I have a ubuntu server hosting a web page driven by Python Django, I can access that page by using the following command:elinks http:// 127.0.0.1:8000.
Now if I want to access that same web page on a macbook sharing the same home router with my ubuntu server(local ip: 10.0.0.9), how would I do it? Typing in elinks http:// 10.0.0.9:8000 wouldn't work.
Thanks a lot,
ZZ
Are you running the development server using manage.py?
If so, you should start the server using:
python manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8000
This will allow the development server to be visited by ips on all interfaces instead of just localhost.
You need to serve it. There are a number of ways to do this, but my preferred method is to use Nginx as a reverse proxy server for gunicorn. This is a good tutorial for that.
