In collection I have 5 requests. In one of a request I want to script in Test tab that after getting a response to execute a request already in the collection.
I cant find references/blogs/article for accessing requests in collection. Alternatively I can write a request. But I need to set authorization logic, and other settings.
Use the below script in the request from where you want to trigger the next request.
Note that request names has to be unique in a collection.
Refer this link for more details
postman.setNextRequest("Request Name")
Update
If you want to send a request after a single request is run, use
pm.sendRequest()
Refer this for pm.sendRequest
Note that pm.sendRequest has to include all parameters such as request URL, authentication etc., and is NOT a postman request self that is visible under a collection.

I am new to JMeter and creating JMeter scripts on .Net Framework version 4.5.
I am facing a challenge or issue that how to extract/capture values like .ASPXAuth, AuthToken, Sesson ID generating on login into web application as Cookie Data but unable to use the same in the subsequent requests as there is no parameter available in Requests.
Actually, I need to extract the cookie data value from response header and to use it further in the subsequent requests. Please share the steps to do the same.
If you need to add cookies support to your JMeter script just add a HTTP Cookie Manager to your test plan.
The HTTP Cookie Manager automatically extracts the cookies from the Set-Cookie response header, checks their validity and adds them to the next request if domain and path of the HTTP Request samplers match the Cookie's domain and path.
So in the majority of cases it's sufficient to just add the HTTP Cookie Manager in order to get browser-like behaviour when it comes to cookies handling.
If you need to use the values of the cookies somewhere else, i.e. in a request parameter you can add the next line to user.properties file:
CookieManager.save.cookies=true
upon JMeter restart the incoming cookies values will be stored as JMeter Variables so you will be able to access the value of .ASPXAuth cookie as ${COOKIE_.ASPXAuth}, the value of AuthToken cookie as ${COOKIE_AuthToken}, etc.

I have a form on a template on my domain1 and want to send a POST request to domain2. I am using Django as the framework. I only want domain2 to accept requests from domain1 and domain2 (itself). However, I run into csrf problems.
You need a RESTful API. That's a very large topic and would be dumb/impossible to do the work for you here with the info I've been given, so here's a summary.
I suggest Django Rest Framework for making api's.
What the above means, is that when you want to do this sort of stuff (POST requests from other domains), you need a token. This is usually done with a Json Web Token. Also known as JWT's.
The process goes like this:
Get access token from other site to have permission to use the API from that site. Certain http headers, passwords, etc, are often included with this every single time data is exchanged.
Once you get a response giving you permission, you can now perform the type of request you want, with the data you want.
The data format for all this is USUALLY done with JSON. So you will have to import json, then json.dumps(obj) to turn it into valid json, and json.loads(obj) to turn your response into a python dictionary, so you can use it in your template, or wherever you want.
If you want to see an example of this, I recently made a free GoFundMe clone on my guthub. In the donate() view at the bottom, it uses the requests library, and shows how a JWT is obtained and used. You can see it there.
When I try to make the following call using postman I get no response: https://slack.com/oauth/authorize?client_id={{client id}}&scope=chat:write:bot
However, when I try it without the scope I do get a response, saying I need to add a scope.
I've put this call together according to the first step of https://api.slack.com/docs/oauth
I've tried using both GET and POST verbs and my header is empty.
What can I do to get a authorization token for Slack?
This is part of the OAuth flow/spec.
What you need to do to is follow/perform the OAuth flow:
Register your application with slack
Provide a redirect_uri - this is the callback URI - this callback/handler will be called with the authenticationCode by the slack OAuth server.
Only if the user authorizes your app, Slack will redirect back to your specified redirect_uri with a temporary code in a code GET parameter, as well as a state parameter if you provided one in the previous step.
It's true that the redirect url is optional, but if left out, Slack will redirect users to the callback URL configured in your app's settings.
the authenticationCode then needs to be changed in code to the accessToken.
So if all is well and user gave its consent, you need to exchange the authorization code for an access token using the OAuth.access API method (method documentation), int the following URL and retrieve your accessToken.
https://slack.com/api/oauth.access
if you decide to use a bot user and your Slack app includes a bot user, you will get an additional node containing an access token to be specifically used for your bot user.
I am fairly new to Jmeter and hence having trouble figuring out the following:
I am testing a web service that needs a valid cookie to be sent in header. I have an endpoint url against which the userid and password validates. How do I validate the credentials against the url and extract the cookie for the user and send it in header for the request in Jmeter?
JMeter provides HTTP Cookie Manager which automatically handles cookies so in the majority of cases you don't need to do anything apart from adding the HTTP Cookie Manager to your Test Plan
However in some cases, i.e. in some CSRF implementations you need to add a request header holding previous response specific cookie value. In that case you should be acting like:
Add the next line to user.properties file (lives in JMeter's "bin" folder
CookieManager.save.cookies=true
Restart JMeter to pick the property up. The above setting "tells" JMeter to store cookie values as JMeter Variables prefixed by COOKIE_. So for example if you have cookie with the name of foo you will be able to access its value as ${COOKIE_foo}
Add HTTP Header Manager and set it up to send the desired header using ${COOKIE_foo} as a value (replace foo with your actual cookie name)

I want to send a http request to a webservice ,which I implemented earlier, that need the user to be login. Now, I implemented a form page that do this for me and I need to change it for every different request.
As far as I know, Django need "csrftoken" and "sessionid" to allow requests. Unfortunately, I can not figure out how to add this two field to Postman client and interact with my Django services.
Postman receives cookies from chrome and you can retrieve them using the Postman interception plugin.
See here
Now after installing the plugin :
Create a new environment so environment variables can be stored
Create a method with a test to store the XSRF cookie value in an environment variable, in the test tab post this code
var token = postman.getResponseCookie("XSRF");
postman.setEnvironmentVariable("xsrf-token", token .value);
Now you will have an environment variable with xsrf-token in it.
Save your method
Create the new post and add XSRF-Token-Header Key in the header.
Access the token value with {{xsrf-token}}
Now before running your new request make sure you run the method, so that it can store the environment variable, and then when you run the actual request it will append its value in the header.
