Data loss from Excel upload to Power BI - powerbi

I have an excel file which has 3 tabs.
2 of the tabs are loaded with revenue data correctly, however there is one tab which is getting partially loaded.
Count of rows in the excel is 96,652 whereas after uploading in power BI it is 49,999.
Not sure why there is data loss?
As a workaround, I copied and pasted excel data as values in another excel file to test it. And, it is working fine and there is no data loss.
Not sure, why Power BI is reading partial data through excel for that particular tab.
Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Looks like issue is due to maximum allowed data. Can you try to change below option and reload same file?
Open your report in Power BI Desktop editor and go to Menu File -> Options and Settings -> Options
Under Global section, increase Maximum allowed (MB) size to some higher number and try to load your file again.

In Power BI, is there a way to repoint the data source while keeping all the field formatting and calculated columns in the visuals?

I have a PBI that I set up initially from a CSV file on my desk top to test functionality while waiting for the DB connection. I've finally gotten the connection but I don't see how I can retain all the changes and calculated columns I put in to the report with the CSV file. Any ideas or am I out of luck?
Open your report and go to File -> Options and settings -> Data source settings:
There make sure Data sources in current file is selected and click on Change Source button.

Power BI Errors Showing Up For Values That No Longer Exist

I made some changes to my dataset in Power BI via the Power Query Editor.
I went to close the editor and apply my changes to the data.
I get "Query Errors" that appear, despite having handled the records. I've confirmed the error does not appear in any other columns.
When I go to apply the changes, the errors still appear.
Any suggestions?
Edit #1:
I tried changing the column to a text data type and then sorting to look at all of the values, but it says "Invalid cell value: '#N/A', which is weird. I wonder why it won't let me sort the data.
Seems the only way you can handle these types of values are to handle them outside of Power BI. Power BI cannot handle these values at this time.

Can't place variables into values box in exported Excel dataset

I have a very large and dynamic Power BI dashboard that I have developed that my client user would really like to be able to gain access to in Excel. I have tried two ways to getting it connected:
1. In Excel >> Data/Get Data/From Power BI
2. In published Power BI Dashboard menu: Analyze in Excel
What it show in Excel looks wonderful if and only if I can place counts or sums into the values box. I keep getting this error and need help fixing: "The field that you are moving cannot be placed in that area of the report."
Please let me know what additional information that I can provide that would be useful. Any insight would greatly be appreciated!
I figured it out. I need to create measures in Power BI to place variables as values in Excel

Power BI data to large to export from matrix visual component

I have a data set that contains ~4 million rows. The visual component I am using is a Matrix visual. After selecting the data I need, the Matrix visual is 150 rows and 25 columns. I would like to export this into a csv in the exact way it is shown in the Matrix. When I try exporting the data set via the export data option in the menu, I get a message indicating that my data set is too big.
Is there a way of exporting the data in this format, or perhaps a python / R script that can gain access to the data the visual is using?
Any help appreciated, Thanks in advance
Exporting data as is from a matrix, is not supported. However, it is planned and you can vote for it, if you want to. You can only export the underlying data, but you obviously reached it's limits.
What you can do, is to connect from Excel to your data source and create a pivot there, the same way as your matrix in Power BI.

Automate the Export from Power BI to Power Point

I have a data set that it transformed in SQL Server and then sent to Power BI. The report is built to specs of marketing people so i cannot move to excel (needs to be pretty).
Has anyone set up a procedure to automate the export of a PBI report (filtered by a specific column) and then converted to PDF? To clearify, the data set has performance metrics of say 15 locations and i need a report for each location.
Steps:
1) data is loaded in aggregate
2) filter applied by location
3) calculated fields populated (charts etc.)
4) exported to PPTX then converted to PDF (would love to automate this step)
5) Need to remove links to PBI from PDF (no quick way found yet)
6) go to PBI and set the filter to next location and repeat
Any advice would be appreciated!
How would you feel about just screen-shotting the PBI report and creating a PDF/PPTX file out of that?
You can also print direct to PDF:
Print -> Print to PDF as 'printer'
I hope I don’t break any rules for saying this but our software,PBRS, is just the answer for this. Our data-driven schedules can run the Power BI reports with one or more filters applied and export it to PDF, PowerPoint, Excel etc. The filter values can be pulled from a database list as you described.
