Is the OpenGl subsystems activated in Colab? - opengl

I set the DeepMind lab scripts as indicated in github.com/deepmind/lab. I've got the following error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment. GLimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem.
I proceeded then as suggested in the following site to solve the issue with the configuration, but still getting the same message (unable to open display) --- https://askubuntu.com/questions/872792/what-is-xdg-runtime-dir.
I would appreciate very much some advice on how to activate (if possible) the OpenGL configuration in Colab.

Why unitest for sharpdx fails on Jenkins but not localy and how can i fix it?

I have a couple off UnitTest which are running fine localy, but fail on my Jenkins-Server. All unit-test a failing with an similiar reason: SharpDX is unable to aquire resources.
SetUp : SharpDX.SharpDXException : HRESULT: [0x887A0022], Module: [Unknown], ApiCode: [Unknown/Unknown], Message: A resource is not available at the time of the call. However, it may be available at a later date.

STACK TRACE:

at SharpDX.Direct2D1.Factory.CreateHwndRenderTarget(RenderTargetProperties& renderTargetProperties, HwndRenderTargetProperties& hwndRenderTargetProperties, WindowRenderTarget hwndRenderTarget)
My Jenkins(ver. 2.190.1) is running under the local system account. The error seems to be realted to that (No screen session). I tried the solution from the answers of #maQ at Jenkins on Windows and GUI Tests without RDC and running jenkin as a local user but without success.
Have you tested running your code from command line or from IDE?
If you have not tested your code locally from command line, you can test it.
Is your build node and local machine same? If not please verify that the sharpdx is installed in your build node.
If it is already tested and working and your build node is also configured with the sharpdx, adding the environment variable point to sharpdx home directory in jenkins slave's configuration should work. All the best !

Generating CentOS image for Openstack Ironic Boot Failure

I am trying to create a custom CentOS image to be used as an image for Openstack Ironic. I am following the guide here: https://docs.openstack.org/image-guide/centos-image.html. I created the image, and deploy it on my baremetal server. On the ironic side it seems that it has successfully 'dd' the image into the server. But when the server boots up, it can't find any of the partitions with the error /dev/disk/by-uuid/XXXX does not exist. I am able to boot it to rescue mode, but I am clueless on what to do to debug it.
I also used the same procedure to deploy custom Ubuntu Image, and it seems to work perfectly fine. Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this?
Okay, after much tinkering, I have found the problem. This is more of a CentOS7 problem than an openstack problem.
I have found the kickstart script that generates the CentOS cloud build (https://github.com/CentOS/sig-cloud-instance-build/blob/master/cloudimg/CentOS-7-x86_64-GenericCloud-201606-r1.ks). Turns out that they included the dracut-config-generic package which my custom CentOS image did not include. After some google searching work, I found this link (https://www.systutorials.com/docs/linux/man/8-dracut/) stated that:
On RHEL-7 the hostonly mode is the default mode. Generic "non-hostonly" images are created, if the dracut-config-generic rpm is installed. The rescue kernel entry in the bootloader menu is also a generic image.
Without dracut-config-generic, the images can only run in the virtualised environment I set up. So after adding this package, I can successfully deploy it through openstack ironic successfully.
Hope this helps anyone that was trying on this.

Appcelerator Titanium build error about log-server-port masks the real error

This is relatively minor, and I wasn't able to find any other record of this issue, but it cost me several stressful hours. I'm considering opening an Appcelerator Jira ticket about this bug, so any feed back is welcome before I do so. Questions: Are there any other workarounds besides what I wrote below? What are some better ways to log the actual error?
Environment
Titanium SDK: 7.0.2.GA
Javascript Engine: V8
Platform & version: iOS 11.2
Device Details: iOS simulator (iPhone 7+)
Host Operating System: OS X 10.13 64 bit
Node Version: 7.10.0
Titanium CLI: 5.0.14
Npm Version: 4.2.0
Description
When building an iOS app and there is an issue connecting to the iOS log-server, it always output "Another process is currently bound to port xxxxx" even if there is another server connection issue such as the port not existing.
Workaround
Figure out the real issue by logging the actual error within the sdk itself (at ~/Library/Application Support/Titanium/mobilesdk/osx/7.0.2.GA/iphone/cli/commands/_build.js in the determineLogServerPort function).
Steps to Reproduce
Create a different type of error with the server. For example, my /etc/hosts file did not have an entry for 127.0.0.1 localhost, so the actual node error was 'ENOTFOUND'.
Create a new titanium app with appc ti new.
Build with appc ti build -p ios
Actual Result
Build errors out with following text:
[ERROR] Another process is currently bound to port 27973
[ERROR] Set a unique <log-server-port> between 1024 and 65535 in the <ios> section of the tiapp.xml
Expected Result
More detailed error. I.E. Something like:
Failed to create/connect to log server port with error "[error given by node net package]".
Followed by suggested solution. For example if the node error was EADDRINUSE, then you could still use the existing error message. But if it's another error, log accordingly so the user has the best information for solving the issue.
Close current emulator running and try again
when emulator was opened by xcode, I got such issue
Please make sure you are executing the app with same App name and ID.
If there is a change, please delete the app from device and retake the build.
I opened the ticket with appcelerator here: https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TIMOB-25872
They have just marked it as closed so it will hopefully be included in the next sdk version.
The solution for me was what was mentioned as a solution in the JIRA ticket on appcelerator https://jira.appcelerator.org/browse/TIMOB-25872.
I had recently moved to a new Mac and migrated everything, it created a copy of my host file renaming it but didn't update main one so it had no reference to the localhost in there. Once this was fixed it was building no problem again.
Below is what is in the host file.
##
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost
Hope that helps someone, didn't see the answer on JIRA at first glance.

Error when trying to build Clojure boot file in Ubuntu 12.04

I am starting out with Clojure, and i am currently following the hoplon.io get started tutorial
My troubles start when i try to build boot from source: (http://github.com/tailrecursion/boot)
This is the error that i receive when running the make boot command:
1 required artifact is missing.
for artifact:
org.apache.maven:super-pom:pom:2.0
from the specified remote repositories:
central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2),
clojars (http://clojars.org/repo/)
I have installed maven but that did not change anything. Has anyone encountered this problem aswell?

Debugging cocos2d-x 3.1 android project via eclipse on mac

I have setup my environment based on this video steps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LI1IrRp_0w
It helped me to run the app on the device but I cannot debug it. Now I want to be able to debug the test project. By saying debug I mean to placing breakpoints, run application of device and see that it stops on breakpoints. Also I want to see the stacktrace. How I can do this? What eclipse setting I need to configure?
