How to downgrade .netcore sdk from 2.1.504 to 2.1.4 as server can only host upto sdk 2.1.4 - visual-studio-2017

My web application developed with vs on .netcore sdk 2.1.504 cannot be run on my server as it allows hosting only upto sdk 2.1.4. So is it possible to downgrade to 2.1.4 so as to host it on the server without having to build a new project?

Define the specific version you want in global.json file:
{
"sdk": {
"version": "2.1.4"
}
}
.NET Core SDK looks for a global.json file in the current working directory (which isn't necessarily the same as the project directory) or one of its parent directories.

Getting Exception on using AWS S3 sdk with openstack to get all buckets/containers

I am getting Exception on using AWS S3 SDK with OpenStack to get all buckets/containers.
Expected Behavior
I should be able get list of buckets from OpenStack using aws s3 sdk using .net Core as it is working fine in dotnet 4.72 framework.
Current Behavior
I'm getting exception while fetching list of buckets from OpenStack using S3 sdk.
AWS s3 sdk is working fine with .net 4.72 frameworks
Possible Solution
Is there any incompatibility between dotnet core and openstack ?
Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)
Create a simple dotnet core application and try to fetch list of buckets using AWS s3 credentials.
Context
dotnet 4.72 was working fine but now after migrating to dotnet core it is not working.
Your Environment
AWSSDK.Core version used: 3.3.100
Service assembly and version used:
Operating System and version: Windows 10
Visual Studio version: VS 2015
Targeted .NET platform: dotnet core
.NET Core Info
.NET Core version used for development: dotnet core 2.1
I got the following response using GitHub ticket :
https://github.com/aws/aws-sdk-net/issues/1246
Hi. We do not make any guarantees on how the SDK behaves with non-S3 service.
Please re-open the issue if you can reproduce the problem against S3.

Publish .net Core web app as Web Deploy Package (MSDeploy) fails in Visual Studio 2017

I have created multiple sample project following the VS2017 .Net Core Web App template, targeting .Net Core and .NET Framework.
I have tested in all last three cumulative updates of VS2017; (i.e. Version 15.3.2, 15.3.3, 15.3.4)
Publishing to Web Deploy Package fails with the following error:
Target: .NET Core
Web deployment task failed. (Could not find file '\PublishTestNetCore.Parameters.xml'.) PublishTestNetCore C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\1.1.0\Sdks\Microsoft.NET.Sdk.Publish\build\netstandard1.0\PublishTargets\Microsoft.NET.Sdk.Publish.MSDeployPackage.targets 88
Target: .NET Framework 461
Web deployment task failed. (Could not find file '\TestPublish461.Parameters.xml'.) TestPublish461 C:\Program Files\dotnet\sdk\1.1.0\Sdks\Microsoft.NET.Sdk.Publish\build\netstandard1.0\PublishTargets\Microsoft.NET.Sdk.Publish.MSDeployPackage.targets 88
I am able to publish to IIS server though, but building the MSDeploy package always fail.
Thanks for any hint.
Mamrez
The issue was that the publish to package with latest VS 2017 cumulative updates required .NET Core 2.0 installed and that's odd!
I had to follow this link to install .NET Core 2.0 on my developer laptop to be able to publish MSDeploy packages that target non-.NET Core 2.0!!

WSO2 Developer Studio on OSX 10.10.3 freezes on launch

OSX 10.10.3
Dev Studio 3.7.1 installed via complete download from wso2.com or adding working eclipse via marketplace.
Freezes when I try to run the program. The splash shows "loading workspace". When Eclipse runs just fine prior to adding dev studio from the marketplace
How do I get WSO2 working on OSX 10.10.3?
Tom,
WSO2 Developer Studio can be installed using any of the bellow options;
Downloading the full pack from WSO2 site
Download Eclipse from the site and install the P2 repo which is downloaded from WSO2 web site
Download WSO2 DevStudio from Eclipse marketplace
Out of these methods which method(s) did you use? I used method 1 and 2 and works fine for me.

Using Web Application created with Netbeans in Tomcat?

Sorry I newbie.
How to use Web Application ( with Web Services) created with Netbeans in my Tomcat that was manually installed?
I want to use my WA in my Tomcat (this tomcat wasn't installed with Netbeans).
My Tomcat is 8.0.3 version...
My Netbeans is:
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0 (Build 201403101706)
Updates: Updates available to version NetBeans 8.0 Patch 2
Java: 1.8.0_05; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 25.5-b02
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_05-b13
System: Windows 7 version 6.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)
I was following http://docs.huihoo.com/netbeans/6.0/kb/60/websvc/jax-ws.html.
I decided to use this old version because this link (newer version) https://netbeans.org/kb/docs/websvc/jax-ws.html is oriented to Glassfish.
Now I want to test my Web Services in Tomcat, I was thinking that I need to copy my folder named: CalculatorWSApplication to webapps\ROOT tomcat's folder, trying to do smothing like:
IPofMyHost:8080/CalculatorWSApplication/
or
IPofMyHost:8080/CalculatorWSApplication/CalculatorWS
I'm very lost
you can tell netebans you have tomcat (menu->tools->server->add server...)
and then configure you project to run with tomcat (project->properties->run->server...)
Or, after building you app in netbeans, just copy the .war file to the tomcat "webapps" folder.
Tomcat will do the deploy for you.

WSO2: Where to get a working Eclipse plugin from to start WSO2 from within Eclipse?

I have an Eclipse Luna installation and want to start the already installed WSO2 5.2.1 from within Eclipse. How can I do this and where can I get a plugin which is able to be installed successfully? I tried to install it via Eclipse Marketplace but always get an error
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session
context was:(profile=epp.package.jee,
phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=,
action=). Unable to read repository at
http://dist.wso2.org/p2/developer-studio/releases/3.6.0/plugins/org.wso2.developerstudio.eclipse.libraries-3.6.0.jar.
Connection reset
I also tried to download the WSO2 Developer Studio 3.7.0 (wso2-developer-studio_3.7.0.zip) but it also doesn't work.
In the end I want to start the WSO2 Application Server from within Eclipse and to debug the implemented web service.
Well, first I ran Eclipse under jdk 1.6.30. Now with jdk 1.7.45 I see a lot of WSO2 features...
Correction:
I had to install WSO2 Developer Studio 3.6.0 via Eclipse Marketplace first and have to update to version 3.7.0 afterwards because http://dist.wso2.org/p2/developer-studio/releases/3.7.0/plugins/org.wso2.developerstudio.eclipse.libraries-3.7.0.jar is not readable.
