I want to create script in load runner. I add wsdl and set input variables, when I run my scrip replay failed with 401 error. I need to send user password and authorization algorithm (type) with my web_service_call.
I use web_set_user but it doesn't work.
Please help me
Put this before web_set_user:
web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION", "2&3"); // Not mandatory, if used edit it with your Version
web_set_sockets_option("INITIAL_AUTH", "BASIC"); // Force sending user credentials with the first request without waiting for HTTP 401.

I am trying to access a REST API (Shopware to be specific), which is hosted externally.
When I log in to the frontend in the browser, I first need to enter a set of credentials in the browser authentication pop up. And then the application opens and I need to enter the application credentials.
I assumed the authentication for the API would also be similar.
This is how I see this set up: (sorry for the crude image) Set up pic
So first, I use HTTP Basic auth and pass my browser credentials to the server.
I get the following response:
{
"success": false,
"message": "Invalid or missing auth"
}
But in the Response header I get
Basic realm="<Realm B>", Digest realm="<Realm B>", domain="/", nonce="<nonce>", opaque="<opaque value>", algorithm="MD5", qop="auth"
Does this response mean that both Basic and Digest are supported for Realm B and the client can use any one of these?
I tried to authenticate again with Digest Auth chosen in postman,and using the realm B, nonce, opaque and qop values provided in the previous request.
But I still get a 401 Unauthorized error.
What am I missing? How does this two factor auth work via Postman?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Frankly speaking azure still does not have direct way to set up alerts on continuous web job's so that one can get notification if web job stops for unknown reasons. After some investigation i found that logic apps are best way to do that. Here are the steps how one can achieve this
Go to azure web job, select properties and copy web hook url, username and password.
By default web hook url will have /run option at end to so remove that as you dont want to run webjob
Create a logic app setting following parameters in exact order
Recurrence - Your choice how frequently you want to run your logic
app
Initialize a variable for example status (type - string)
Call Http end point giving following details which you copied
earlier []2]
Add a step of parse
JSON response, pasting response so that logic app can create its own
schema
Pick the item name for
value you want to read for example i am using status
Add a condition for failure
Send the mail or whatever you want to do
Over all your Login app will look something like this
This is helpful, indeed. But I was facing issue with the web hook url authentication. The logic app connector was returning 401 – Unauthorized for the http request, as the password was encoded. Took a while to understand why it is throwing unauthorized even after providing correct credentials. Hence, copying the original password helped in that case ( if not anything else).
I'm trying to hit a web service using RestAssured. I'm struggling with authentication which is actually performed by a third party system. Details are given below:
My web service requires session ID & Cookie in the request header. Otherwise the service call will be failed.
For that I need to fetch Session Id & Cookie after the authentication.
Authentication is done by third party service and it takes the windows credentials for authentication.
When I launch my app URL on browser, say: 'XYZ.com/dim' it will be redirected to authentication service using a URL like:
http://hantweb.DOMAIN.com/authenticate/encdefault.asp?location=XYZ.com/dim
After the authentication it will again be redirected to actual application back.
I tried below code but it says: "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials." even though my credentials are correct.
RestAssured.given().auth().basic("userID", "password").get("http://hantweb.DOMAIN.com/authenticate/encdefault.asp?location=XYZ.com/dim")
I'm confused no idea what I've missed here..
I did some trial and error and finally understood that I need to use .auth().ntlm(userId, password,"","") as the authentication. Here I'm using windows credentials as basic or any other auth type won't work in this case.
This answer can help someone in need.
I have been asked to test my Rest API in JMeter and configured my service details in HTTP Request tab in JMeter and unfortunately i am seeing Authentication failed error even though it displays correct information in Request tab.
Here is my Header Manager section as below...
This is my request and using POST method for this.
Can you pls help in getting this fixed...
you have to implement correct correlation.
Authentication must be executed every time.
The authorization token is a random value that you get from previous authentication.
You have to extract it (maybe with a regular expression) and use it in the HTTP operation.
The recommended way of testing resources protected by Basic HTTP Authentication is using HTTP Authorization Manager.
Add HTTP Authorization Manager to your test plan
Provide Base URL and credentials (plain text)
That's it, you don't need to add Authorization header manually, JMeter will automatically generate it, check out How to Use HTTP Basic Authentication in JMeter article for more details if required.
I have installed authorize.net sdk(PHP) and changed config file. I am running the sample app that comes along with the bundle.
When I proceed with the payment, the transaction fails and responses below error
"We're sorry, but we can't process your order at this time due to the following error:
The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.
response code 3
response reason code 13"
Naturally you need to verify your login credentials are correct. Also, make sure you are using the right server. You can use the production server or development server for testing. If you mix up your credentials that will cause this also.
