If a Managed Service Provider (MSP) wants to monitor existing GCP projects of a client that are associated to a client billing account ( meaning the client is directly paying to Google for it ) , how can the MSP start monitoring those ? What are the strategies around IAM that enable the MSP to start monitoring the client projects?
Using the Cloud IAM(Identity and Access Management), any member can be assigned with the access/control over the GCP resources/projects. You can check this documentation for various roles that can be given to a member.
For your specific concern over 'monitoring the billing', a member (in your case a MSP provider) can be given any specific role under “Cloud Billing Roles”. It will help that member to view/manage various billing scenarios over the GCP project/resources.
Apart from your use case scenario, you can also check this blog for various updates over MSP partners. You can make valuable suggestion by commenting there as well.

Use Case: I will have a separate ec2 instance for each client - all of the instances will host identical web apps and db (at the moment, I'm keeping the db in the ec2 instance and not breaking it out).
If I am trying to provide security for each client, would you recommend creating a separate VPC for each ec2 instance, even if they are in the same region? Or would that be overkill?
Thanks! So far, I have not been able to find this on multiple google searches.

For practicing Kafka, I have created a free GCP account.
I have given my account information and money is deducted from my credit card.
When I try to launch my Kafka application page it is again redirected to account information page and it is asking me for payment. I have made the payment for almost 10 times. Kafka application is never launched.
The same happens when I try to link a billing account to my project or perform anything from the GCP console.
I don't understand what went wrong. Can someone please guide me as I am new to GCP as well.
You can try to change your payment method (they vary depending on the country you live in) and of that doesn't help (or you are not able for some reason) I recommend contacting Google Support - in case of any billing issues it's free of charge.
You can contact GCP Billing Support via the chat and explain what's the issue.

I've taken a free trial for Google Cloud Platform and would like to cancel free trial for my GCP account. Need help please.
Open the Google Cloud Console in your browser.
Go to IAM & Admin -> Manage Resources (link).
Select your project.
Click the Delete button.
Once you have no projects left, wait a few minutes and then close the Billing Account.
Create, modify, or close your Cloud Billing account
The last step is to optionally delete your Payment account. Only do this if you are not using a Payment account with other services such as YouTube, YouTube TV, Google Pay, etc. From the following page you can delete your credit card.

A friend suggested me an idea for creating an adult entertainment site, and I liked it so I started with the project and I chose GCP for cloud services.
Site should allow users to upload their own content so it should be saved somewhere and that's not big deal but I wonder if given the nature of the content there's some kind of limitation or prohibition of storing certain type of files in GCP.
Anyone knows if so?
Google Cloud Storage is a great option to store files like images and videos. This service does not have restrictions about that kind of content (unless of course, the site promotes illegal activities) as you can see in its Acceptable Use Policy. You should also make sure you are not violating any intellectual property rights or the content would be removed or disabled as mentioned in its DMCA Policy.
As an extra, you might want to take a look at some of the tech restrictions from the service itself that may apply as a validation for your site:
Don't upload files greater than 5 TB.
Use valid names for your Buckets.
Making sure you are using valid file names.

I was wondering how do I contact Google to negotiate a deal. I wanted to burst coin mine on GCP. As said in the ToS it says that Free Trail doesn't allow to do that. So I upgraded but found that paid accounts can only mine if they have written permission from Google. Which is why I am here now. I was wondering if there was an email or someone at Google I can talk to about allowing me to burst the coin. Burst coin is a cryptocurrency that uses storage to mine instead of all those fancy machines. I only plan to use storage and not do dual miner(some miners do that). If needed I can run another and connect hard disks over the internet. I just didn't want to start doing something without asking for permission.
Edit: I have bad grammar. I basically said I need permission to use their cloud storage and/or their compute engine to mine burst coins. If I can't use their compute engine but their cloud storage I am willing to host hardware myself I just need storage to be a host since I don't have Terabytes of storage on hand.
You can contact GCP through their contact page over here. I would say that you should contact the compliance team, nevertheless, there is no guarantee that they will be willing to let you use the infrastructure for cryptocurrency mining.
Additionally, do not try to do this before their response as it is a violation of the terms of service, and may lead to a suspension on the service:
4.2 Other Suspension. Notwithstanding Section 4.1 (AUP Violations) Google may immediately Suspend all or part of Customer's use of the Services if: (a) Google believes Customer's or any Customer End User's use of the Services could adversely impact the Services, other customers' or their end users' use of the Services, or the Google network or servers used to provide the Services, which may include use of the Services for cryptocurrency mining without Google's prior written approval;
Hope you find this useful.
