RainbowCodeGeneration does not work for Sitecore 9 - sitecore

Could you please advise on the following issue?
I've installed Sitecore 9, Unicorn and Rainbow, items are synced.
However, when I try to add the latest RainbowCodeGeneration to my project,
after setting up default .tt template, it fails with exception:
Running transformation: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Extensions.DependencyInjection.Abstractions, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=adb9793829ddae60' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
at the following line:
var templates = RainbowCodeGeneration.RainbowReader.GetTemplates(physicalFileStore, treeName, treePath);
I use the following configuration:
<## template debug="true" hostspecific="true"#>
<## output extension=".cs" #>
<## assembly name="System.Core" #>
<# // NOTE - Reference your NuGet packages for Rainbow and RainbowCodeGeneration here #>
<## assembly name="$(SolutionDir)packages\Rainbow.Core.2.0.0\lib\net452\Rainbow.dll" #>
<## assembly name="$(SolutionDir)packages\Rainbow.Storage.Yaml.2.0.0\lib\net452\Rainbow.Storage.Yaml.dll" #>
<## assembly name="$(SolutionDir)packages\RainbowCodeGeneration.0.2.0\lib\net452\RainbowCodeGeneration.dll" #>
<# // NOTE - Reference your Sitecore.Kernel.dll and Sitecore.Logging.dll here #>
<## assembly name="$(SolutionDir)\packages\Sitecore.Kernel.9.0.171002\lib\net462\Sitecore.Kernel.dll" #>
<## assembly name="$(SolutionDir)\packages\Sitecore.Logging.9.0.171002\lib\net462\Sitecore.Logging.dll" #>

After I've posted this issue on RainbowCodeGeneration project github, version 0.3 was created. It supports Sitecore 9 now.

How to solve: "Error: object 'py' not found" in Rmarkdown when calling variable form python chunk to R chunk

I am using R markdown and reticulate package.After running a simple 2 line python code in a chunk,I cant use the python variable in the R chunk using the py$x function.I get the following error:
"Error: object 'py' not found"
I have already tried another function py_to_r for converting python objects to R but even that doesnt work cause it throws an error that it cant find the object.I am including python configuration also:
```{r}
py_config()
```
python: C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\CONTIN~1\ANACON~1\python.exe
libpython: C:/Users/chatsh02/AppData/Local/CONTIN~1/ANACON~1/python36.dll
pythonhome: C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\CONTIN~1\ANACON~1
version: 3.6.3 |Anaconda custom (64-bit)| (default, Oct 15 2017, 03:27:45) [MSC v.1900 64 bit (AMD64)]
Architecture: 64bit
numpy: C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\CONTIN~1\ANACON~1\lib\site-packages\numpy
numpy_version: 1.14.2
python versions found:
C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\CONTIN~1\ANACON~1\python.exe
C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\Continuum\anaconda3\python.exe
C:\Users\chatsh02\AppData\Local\Continuum\anaconda3\envs\r-reticulate\python.exe
```{r}
library(reticulate)
use_virtualenv('r-reticulate')
py_available(TRUE)
```
```{python}
a=7
print(a)
```
```{r}
py$a
```
Expected results should be I should be getting R variable a with value 7.Actual result: Error: object 'py' not found
I got this because I forgot to run library(reticulate) inside my Rmarkdown Document. It looks like you have it, but just make sure you actually run that line.
be sure to call the reticulate package in the same chunk, that works for me.
library(reticulate)
py$a
You just have to knit your document, then everything works fine. Executing the single chunks will not work, just by knitting them to HTML, PDF or whatever.

Could not load file or assembly System.Reflection.TypeExtensions

I got below exception while running xunit test projects which works under VS 2017 15.3
[2017/12/4 23:08:40 Error] [xUnit.net 00:00:00.0033291] xxx.Test: Catastrophic failure: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Xunit.DiaSession' threw an exception. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Reflection.TypeExtensions, Version=4.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. My current VS 2017 version is 15.4.5.
I have tried the work around which has been provided previously, but none did not work. And I have try to downgrade my VS 2016 to 15.3, but I could not find the 15.3 package to install. I have tried to install xunit to latest version.
Any help would be appreciated.
Update:
Project Type:xUnit Test Project(.NET Core)
Target: net 461
It seems VS 2017 fail to load specific "xunit.runner.visualstudio", after checking VS2017 15.4.2 - Unable to run tests for projects targeting .NET Framework 4.6.x #1542 again, I deleted the "%TEMP%\VisualStudioTestExplorerExtensions", create a new Xunit project, change the nonworked.csproj xunit.runner.visualstudio from 2.2.0 to 2.3.1, it works now. Not sure why it did not work when I try it previous.
Hope it will help others.
You need to install System.Reflection.TypeExtensions using VS Package Manager using the following command:
Install-Package System.Reflection.TypeExtensions -Version 4.5.1

nuget restore failing in team services build

I have 2 local assemblies referenced via nuget (packed the dll's up) using vs2017 on a asp.net core solution, builds fine locally.
Now trying to generate a build via VSTS i am getting the following error,

I have a nuget.config file in a .nuget folder located in the root of solution,

</packageSources>

<add key="All" value="(Aggregate source)" />
</activePackageSource>
</configuration>
This is what is in the VSTS build def, NuGet restore step
It looks like it always references my local assembly and not the standard nuget.org, now in the config file, if i take out my local entry to framework assemblies, the nuget part works but i get a primary reference error as it cannot find the 2 assemblies i have packed locally.
Been going round in circles with this at the moment, how can you get VSTS to restore local packed assemblies as well as from nuget.org. I am using Hosted 2017 as well.
thanks in advance
It seems you were queue the build on Hosted agent. Since there has the packages located on your local machine, you should build with the private agent which located on your local machine.
Additional, if you need to queue the build on Hosted agent, you should add the local packages in repository, and then reference the packages with the new path and change the value in nuget.config.

Installation of R-package "BH" not possible

I cannot install the R-package BH which I need only to install dplyr afterwards.
The download works but something is wrong with the processing afterwards, as there is no reaction or progress whatsoever. Installation of lubridate (and deinstallation of lubridate) in contrast worked smoothly without any problems.
My output is:
> install.packages("BH")
Installing package into ‘.../R/win-library/3.2’
(as ‘lib’ is unspecified)
versuche URL 'http://cran.univ-paris1.fr/bin/windows/contrib
/3.2/BH_1.58.0-1.zip'
Content type 'application/zip' length 13846684 bytes (13.2 MB)
downloaded 13.2 MB
and then nothing happens.
Any ideas what could be causing this behavior? Are there any prerequisites for the installation of BH?

BH, as a sizeable subset of Boost Headers is big, as in really big:
edd#max:~$ du -csm /usr/local/lib/R/site-library/BH/
111 /usr/local/lib/R/site-library/BH/
111 total
edd#max:~$
That is 111 megabytes.
You may simply have run our of patience if your Windows (network share ?) was slow in writing the files.
BH is also widely used by other CRAN packages, and there has not been a package on any of the platforms used by CRAN.
So I suggest you maybe place your R package library onto a local hard drive...
If you have an actual bug report, please consider filing an issue ticket against our BH package.
I had this problem -- there were two parts to my fix.
1/ Download the windows binary from CRAN and save to the hard disk. You then select the menu item: Packages >> Install package(s) from local files…
2/ Edit the utils:::unpackPkgZip function to increase the sleep time – so that my virus checker has time to scan it. To implement this, do the following:
trace(utils:::unpackPkgZip, edit=TRUE)
Look for the line Sys.sleep(0.5), toward the bottom of the body of the function; it's a big package so I went for Sys.sleep(10).
If you are still seeing the error: Warning: unable to move temporary installation, try a longer sleep period.
Note that you won't see the edit if you check utils:::unpackPkgZip; that is the unedited version, and it can be restored via untrace(utils:::unpackPkgZip).
So see the edited version, use body(utils:::unpackPkgZip).
