Have anyone successfully used GoCD with Visual Studio Team Service?
I tried the following when trying to add Material:
Type: "Team Foundation Server"
URL: https://ourvso.visualstudio.com
Domain: I left this one empty
Username: firas.r (extracted from firas.r#ourdomain.com)
Password: my VSTS password
Project Path: the correct project path (am sure about it)
But I keep getting the error message: "Access denied connecting to TFS server https://ourvso.visualstudio.com/ (authenticating as firas.r#ourdomain.com)"
When I tried the specific values:
Domain: ourdomain
Username: firas.r#ourdomain.com
I get the error message: "This server requires federated authentication but no mechanism was available to handle it."
Any help?
You must create an "Alternative authentication credential" in VSTS
In VSTS go to the profile menu
Click on Security
Click on the Alternate authentication credentials
Add the username (secondary) and password
Then use this new username in your GoCD configuration. This Works for me.

I created a jar based from the link https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/people/pushpalanka/SampleCustomeUserStoreManager-5.0.0/
a)Copied the jar into dropin folder and mysql driver in lib folder,
b)Started the server and clicked on Add UserStore, Selected CustomUserStore from the drop down and created it with all mysql connection details
c)When i clicked on Users and saw the test.com/dinuka and test.com/malinda user, changed the permission to login and logged out as admin.
d)When i am trying to login as test.com/dinuka-dinuka, I get there error as [2020-02-25 17:08:53,712] ERROR {org.wso2.carbon.core.services.authentication.AuthenticationAdmin} - System error while Authenticating/Authorizing User : Error when handling event : PRE_AUTHENTICATION.
I am using wso2is 5.3
Subhash
I have a API Manager 2.6.0 deployment within 3 nodes i.e. 3 VMs. Abbreviations:
GW - Gateway
AIO - Traffic Manager, Key Manager, Dev portal, Publisher
Analytucs - Api M Analytics 2.6.0
DB - PostgreSQL.
I've set everything working between components, till I changed the default admin password, username stood the same.
As per manual I did
Changed the admin password from UI, sice I did a tests already with default credentials
Changed password in api-manager.xml on AIO and GW
Changed password in user-mgt.xml on AIO and GW
Changed password in jndi.properties on AIO and GW
Above 4 points as noted in manual- https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM260/Maintaining+Logins+and+Passwords
This manual does not tell how to make distributed analytics node to accept that password.
The Analytics Install manual told to install WSO2 API-M Analytics and WSO2 API-M(which as I understand is meant if both are on same machine). Again, this manual does not tell much about user configuring on Analytics server.
I tried to look from DAS and SP manual, but the Analytics does not have auth.configs: in YAML files and nor adding them manually from SP source code helps.
Error returned on GW and AIO:
2019-02-21 15:13:52,090 [-] [DataBridge-ConnectionService-tcp://192.168.102.39:7612-pool-11-thread-1] ERROR DataEndpointConnectionWorker Error while trying to connect to the endpoint. Cannot borrow client for ssl://192.168.102.39:7712.
org.wso2.carbon.databridge.agent.exception.DataEndpointLoginException: Cannot borrow client for ssl://192.168.102.39:7712.
Caused by: org.wso2.carbon.databridge.agent.exception.DataEndpointLoginException: Error while trying to login to the data receiver.
Caused by: ThriftAuthenticationException(message:wrong userName or password)
On Analytics obvious:
[2019-02-21 15:16:49,016] ERROR {org.wso2.carbon.databridge.core.internal.authentication.CarbonAuthenticationHandler} - Authentication failed for username 'admin'. Error : 'Invalid_Credentials'. Error Description : 'The login credential used for login are invalid, username : 'admin'.'
[2019-02-21 15:16:49,016] ERROR {org.wso2.carbon.databridge.core.internal.authentication.Authenticator} - wrong userName or password
The question is, how to make WSO2 APIM Analytics(2.6.0) node, which is separated from API Manager, to accept the changed credentials.
Last tought is do I need to connect Analytics to Carbon DB?
You have to add the auth.configs element to the conf/worker/deployment.yaml file, (Please note the password has to be The Base64(UTF-8) encrypted)
auth.configs:
type: 'local'
userManager:
adminRole: admin
userStore:
users:
-
user:
username: admin
password: YWRtaW4=
roles: 1
roles:
-
role:
id: 1
displayName: admin
After creating an instance of parse server on AWS, I can see the configuration.
var api = new ParseServer({
databaseURI: "mongodb://root:gzkThVPNmUS5#127.0.0.1:27017/bitnami_parse",
cloud: "./node_modules/parse-server/lib/cloud-code/Parse.Cloud.js",
appId: "XXXXXXXaef",
masterKey: "XXXXX33150",
fileKey: "XXXXXXX7073",
serverURL: "http://XXXXX.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:80/parse"
});
The problem is when I use the serverURL to my web browser, it asks user and password which I do know. I tried my user name and password from AWS but it does not allow me to login the parse dashboard.
This link helps: parse server credentials
User: user
The application password is randomly generated during the first boot. This password can be viewed as follows:
Log in to the AWS Cloud Console.
In the left navigation bar, select the "Instances -> Instances" menu
item.
Select your instance in the dashboard.
From the "Actions" drop-down menu, select the "Get System Log" menu
item.
Review the system log until you find the application password.
I had the same issue, which I have just resolved:
When looking into the AWS system log for the generated username user (by default) and password, make sure you manually type out the password that is generated when trying to login to the Parse dashboard.
Such copy and pasted clear-text passwords sent over the insecure http protocol doesn't work, and shouldn't work.
I have attached my Active Directory as a secondary user store and can see the list of users when i select "Users" however when accessing an APP through tomcat that is linked to SAML SSO i cannot login using an AD Account
can anyone suggest what i am missing?
the error in the system logs is
TID[-1234] [IS] [2014-02-13 13:49:02,321] DEBUG {org.wso2.carbon.identity.application.authenticator.basicauth.BasicAuthenticator} - user authentication failed due to invalid credentials.
however my login credentials are correct...
Because i was using email address as a login that was causing the issue!
the steps i took are as follows:
IS_HOME/repository/conf/carbon.xml file.
Open carbon.xml
Locate EnableEmailUserName element and uncomment it.
Finally, it should be similar to the following
true
Now, restart IS
You should be able to login using your user name
Could you check whether you can login to WSO2 management console using above credentials. If you can not, please go to Management Console -> Configure -> Users and Roles -> Roles and you can see the internal\everyone role. And configure "login" permission for everyone role. Then please try to login...
Also, if you enable the debug logs in org.wso2.carbon.user.core, you can see more debug logs about authentication failure.
I think your configuration is not ok.same login issue already solved here.cannot login to wso2 Identity server with the ldap credentials.
Make sure UserDNPattern property is correct
I have a web service which the home page is displayed and runs if I turn on Integrated Windows authentication. Now if I turn that off and Anonymous Access is on I can not even get to the wsdl page. I get the error
Access is denied.

The IIS I am working with is 5.1
I gave IUSER access to the directory, full control for now.
I am out of ideas. Thank you for your help
The root cause of this issue had to do with the website requiring Windows Authentication but the switch for HTTP-keep alive in the IIS Manager was unchecked.
