Using simple GUI in OpenCV Dlib XCode project - c++

I am making a C++ project where I need to show the images with certain points in a GUI.
Till here its simple using highGUI but problem happens with my next requirements.
I need to use the points drawn in the GUI and drag it to some other point and get that point.
I know openCV doesn't support this much requirements in GUI, so what other options are left to me?
One option that I see is using QT, also is it possible for me to use Objective C window .xib and use it together with my c++ project?
PS : HighGUI does take mouse input, but what I want is to create a point and drag it to some other point in the GUI window and then get the coordinate.

draw a line on c++ using qtcreator

I am extremely new on both c++ and qtcreator. At school I asked for draw a line between 2 crossed corner of an image. I am planning to use the Bresenhams Algorithm to calculate the line however I don`t know anything about the graphics library.
Can you tell me how to put a dot to a point which calculated by the algorithm?
Your question is too vague. qtcreator is just a GUI for QT development, there is graphic library in QT that should be used for your purposes, but anyway, you should gain some level in c++/qt (i.e. not to be an "extremely new") to successfully utilize it.

qt : Containing both opencv and opengl subwindows within one gui window

Recently I want to write a gui application, and its appearance is shown below:
I used MFC before to write normal gui applications, but I have never used qt to write gui applications. But this time I want to use qt, so i'm wondering is there any way to implement such interface, integrating with opengl and opencv subwindows within one application.
Please give me some directions on:
1. Which kind of widget can I draw opengl and opencv subwindows in my application?
2. Is there any way to do event handling in those subwindows respectively?
3. How does qt support for opengl and opencv integration?
There should be no problem.
In fact, I've used openCV and OpenGL in different projects, but I don't see any problem.
You have to convert opencv cv::Mat to QImage (see various posts on the problem on StackOverflow) and then draw on a QLabel or a subclass of it.

You should use event handling as usual in Qt (signal-slot, you know).

How to create a GUI without a frame in X11?

I'm trying to figure out how to create a graphical interface, in X11, which exists outside of a window manager's/desktop environment's standard window frame. For example, when Thunderbird finds new mail, it shows a special alert in the lower right hand corner of the screen which is shown without any frame (no close/minimize buttons, etc.).
I'm specifically interested in doing this in QT with C++, but if someone knows a solution with a different graphical library, that would be helpful too.
For QT pass Qt::FramelessWindowHint as a window flag when you construct your top level widget.

With GTK you would use gtk_window_set_decorated(), which would probably be Gtk::Widget->set_decorated() (I think, I don't use gtkmm).

How does get object from point work?

I'm new to programming. I want to make a card game with C++ / Allegro. The graphics api is irrelevant though. I want it to have many buttons you can click. I'm wondering the proper way this is done. For instance, how does windows know which control you click on from your cursor. I would use an array of rectangles and check each rectangle to ee if my mouse is is 1 of their bounds, but this doesn't seem very good. What about if I draw a line from 2 points and want to be able to drag any part of the line? I doubt i'm doing this right either. Any insight on this would be very helpful. Thanks
Basically, you want to make a mouse-driven user interface.
This is very difficult to do from scratch, that's why Allegro has a built-in GUI system. If you don't like it, you'd better use a GUI library than doing it yourself.
I'd recommand MasKing, it's an add-on for Allegro, to write graphical interfaces in C++.

gui for mpi program

I have a problem about a simple mpi program.This program have some 3D points and these points are moving during the program. I created an simple code by implemented c++ and then I tried to add an simple gui. I used gnuplot library and I have a problem. When I call the gui function the gui is created and it is disappeared at the same time. I mean, point object have x,y,z coordinate and I have an array that includes point objects. I want to create them as gui. Can you help me about this problem?

what about Qt? You could use the Qt Graphics View Framework to simulate the 3D-environment - it even supports coordinate transformation (ok, it was originally designed for 2d scope). It supports OpenGL and maybe you are able to simulate the 3D points by drawing dots and setting their positions using simple cosinus and tangens mathematics.
Don't get afraid of the many functions and classes Qt offers - it's very easy and fast to learn - just check out the simple tutorials and after that you right can start your gui!
...and if you are used to Qt, you'll never want to miss it :)
Could it be that the plot is up correctly but that then your program ends? Ie everything's correct, the window goes up, but the next thing that happens is that the program is done, and the window gets destroyed? Try putting in a couple lines that wait for a keypress right after you throw up the window. Then, the window will stay until you press a key (and then the program will end).
