Deleting Content On Module Uninstall in Drupal 8 - drupal-8

I have a custom module that creates a content type on installing it. If I create a content using that content type, that content does not get deleted on uninstalling the module.
How do I delete all the contents created from that content type on uninstalling the module?
Removing the module configurations on hook_uninstall is not helping.
Thanks In Advance!

You must implement the hook_uninstall in your mymodule.install file.
In this hook, you will be able to remove every content using the following code:
/**
* Implements hook_uninstall().
*/
function mymodule_uninstall() {
// Load services.
$queryFactory = \Drupal::service('entity.query')
$nodeStorage = \Drupal::entityManager()->getStorage('node');
// Query all entity.
$query = $queryFactory->get('node')
->condition('type', 'article'); // <-- Change the type here for yours.
$nids = $query->execute();
// Delete entities.
if (!empty($nids)) {
$entities = $nodeStorage->loadMultiple($nids);
$nodeStorage->delete($entities);
}
}
You could also use the entity_delete_multiple but this function is now deprecated.
https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/core%21includes%21entity.inc/function/entity_delete_multiple/8.2.x
Hope it will help you resolve your issue.

Since #Kevin-wenger answer uses entityManager which is deprecated.
Code using entityTypeManager as follows :
/**
* Implements hook_uninstall().
*/
function MYMODULE_uninstall() {
// Delete all nodes of given content type.
$storage_handler = \Drupal::entityTypeManager()
->getStorage('node');
$nodes = $storage_handler->loadByProperties(['type' => 'MACHINE_NAME_OF_TYPE']);
$storage_handler->delete($nodes);
// Delete content type.
$content_type = \Drupal::entityTypeManager()
->getStorage('node_type')
->load('MACHINE_NAME_OF_TYPE');
$content_type->delete();
}

I am trying to alter route in my custon module. But it is already overridden in one of the contrib module

I tried to altered route it didn't work in my custom module. it is taking the altered path from contributed module. then i tried to extend the routesubscriber.php from extended module but its still didn't work.
I have cleared cache, rebuild routes, and tried to adjust weight for my custom module giving it highest weight. But still didn't work.
If anyone call help with this issue, it will be great help.

{
/**

*/
public function render()
{
//code here
}
}
First make sure your module is following the details outlined in Naming and placing your Drupal 8 module - Name your module:
It must contain only lower-case letters and underscores.
The namespace in your details indicates it is using upper camel case instead of snake cases.
Also ensure your route subscriber has a relevant my_app.services.yml services YAML file and tag it with event_subscriber or it won't be registered:
services:
my_app.route_subscriber:
class: Drupal\my_app\Routing\MyAppsRouteSubscriber
tags:
- { name: event_subscriber }
Make sure your module is enabled or it won't be working either. Debug through it to see where it still fails.

Autoroute Bulk operations in Orchard

If you customize an autoroute part you have the option to recreate the url on each save.
The help text under this option says:
"Automatically regenerate when editing content
This option will cause the Url to automatically be regenerated when you edit existing content and publish it again, otherwise it will always keep the old route, or you have to perform bulk update in the Autoroute admin."
I have digged all around but I cannot find anywhere an "Autoroute admin".
Is it really there?
It was a proposed feature never implemented?
Any idea to do a bulk update even without an Admin page?
Thanks
EDIT after #joshb suggestion...
I have tried to implement a bulk operation in my controller.
var MyContents = _contentManager.Query<MyContentPart, MyContentPartRecord>().List().ToList();
foreach (var MyContent in MyContents) {
var autoroutePart = recipe.ContentItem.As<AutoroutePart>();
autoroutePart.UseCustomPattern = false;
autoroutePart.DisplayAlias = _autorouteService.GenerateAlias(autoroutePart);
_contentManager.Publish(autoroutePart.ContentItem);
}
In this way it recreates all aliases for the types that contain the given part MyContentPart.
With some more work this code can be encapsulated in a command or in a new tab in Alias UI.
After finished the current project I'm doing I will try that...
You could create a module and implement a command that does a bulk update. Shouldn't be too much work if you're comfortable creating modules. You'll need to implement DefaultOrchardCommandHandler and inject IContentManager to get all the parts you're interested in.
Enable Alias UI in the modules section will give you the admin section for managing routes, however I'm not sure what kind of bulk updates it offers
Publishing the ContentItem will do nothing if it is already Published (as it was in my case).
Instead, one could call the PublishAlias method on the AutorouteService. I ended up with a Controller, something like this:
using Orchard;
using Orchard.Autoroute.Models;
using Orchard.Autoroute.Services;
using Orchard.ContentManagement;
using Orchard.Localization;
using Orchard.Security;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Web.Mvc;
namespace MyNamespace.MyModule.Controllers {
public class AutorouteBulkUpdateController : Controller {
private readonly IOrchardServices _orchardServices;
private readonly IAutorouteService _autorouteService;
private Localizer T { get; set; }
public AutorouteBulkUpdateController(IOrchardServices orchardServices, IAutorouteService autorouteService) {
_orchardServices = orchardServices;
_autorouteService = autorouteService;
T = NullLocalizer.Instance;
}
public ActionResult Index() {
if (!_orchardServices.Authorizer.Authorize(StandardPermissions.SiteOwner, T("Not authorized to manage settings"))) {
return new HttpUnauthorizedResult();
}
int count = 0;
IEnumerable<AutoroutePart> contents;
do {
//contents = _orchardServices.ContentManager.Query<AutoroutePart>(VersionOptions.Latest, new string[] { "Page" }).Slice(count * 100, 100).ToList();
contents = _orchardServices.ContentManager.Query<AutoroutePart>(VersionOptions.Latest).Slice(count * 100, 100).ToList();
foreach (var autoroutePart in contents) {
var alias = _autorouteService.GenerateAlias(autoroutePart);
if (autoroutePart.DisplayAlias != alias) {
autoroutePart.UseCustomPattern = false;
autoroutePart.DisplayAlias = alias;
_autorouteService.PublishAlias(autoroutePart);
}
}
_orchardServices.TransactionManager.RequireNew();
_orchardServices.ContentManager.Clear();
count += 1;
} while (contents.Any());
return null;
}
}
}

tt_address: add categorys of address to the template

Is it somehow possible to add the sub-group of a cetrain group the address is assigned to the html output?
In the template I have ###MAINGROUP### and ###GROUPLIST###. I can't use maingroup, cause it's not the case that the group I need is always the maingroup. And with the grouplist I can't say which group is the sub-group of the one group.
Anyone have an idea how I could do it?
And in addition to that I also need the value of a self created field in the tt_address table.
Edit:
I try it like #lorenz say. What I have so far:
ext_localconf.php:
<?php
$GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXTCONF']['tt_address']['extraItemMarkerHook'][]
='EXT:txnextaddresssort/class.tx_next_address_sort_addmarkers.php:tx_next_address_sort_addmarkers';
class.tx_next_address_sort_addmarkers.php:
<?php
class tx_next_address_sort_addmarkers {
function extraItemMarkerProcessor(&$markerArray, &$address, &$lConf,
&$pObj) {
$lcObj = t3lib_div::makeInstance('tslib_cObj');
$lcObj->data = $address;
$markerArray['###SORTBEREICH###'] =
$lcObj->stdWrap($address['tx_nextaddresssort_sort_bereich'],
$lConf['tx_nextaddresssort_sort_bereich.']);
}
}
Extentionkey: next_address_sort
All I get is a blank screen, but no errors in apache log
No, there is no possibility to do that.
Yet you can write a custom extension that integrates the extraItemMarkerProcessorhook in tt_address. In ext_localconf.php, add:
$GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['EXTCONF']['tt_address']['extraItemMarkerHook'][] ='EXT:myextension/class.tx_myextension_filename.php:tx_myextension_classname';
Then add a file class.tx_myextension_filename.php to your extension.:
class tx_myextension_classname {
public function extraItemMarkerProcessor(&$markerArray, &$address, &$lConf, &$pObj) {
$lcObj = t3lib_div::makeInstance('tslib_cObj');
$lcObj->data = $address;
$markerArray['###MYFIELD###'] = $lcObj->stdWrap($address['myfieldlikeindatabase'], $lConf['myfieldlikeindatabase.']);
return $markerArray;
}
}
This would be an example for getting a field that is in the tt_address table and adding it to the markers so they can be used in a template. It is also stdWrap enabled.
Now, instead of getting a field, you should replace $address['myfieldlikeindatabase'] with a variable that contains the information you need. To receive the data, you can use the TYPO3 database API functions ($GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']).

Recomputing entity changeset in onFlush listener

Consider the following schema:
[Work]
id
tags ManyToMany(targetEntity="Tag", inversedBy="works", cascade={"persist"})
[Tag]
id
works_count
works ManyToMany(targetEntity="Work", mappedBy="tags")
works_count is a counter cache for Tag::works.
I have a onFlush listener on Work that checks if Work::tags has changed, and updates each of the tags' works_count.
public function onFlush(OnFlushEventArgs $args)
{
foreach ($uow->getScheduledEntityUpdates() as $work) {
$changedTags = /* update relevant tags and return all the changed ones */
$metadata = $em->getClassMetadata('Acme\Entity\Tag');
foreach ($changedTags as $tag) {
$uow->recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet($metadata, $tag);
}
}
}
Now if I read the changesets of the updated tags, the changes of works_count appears correctly, but they don't get updated in the database..
If I replace recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet() with computeChangeSet() then everything works as expected and the DB is updated, but computeChangeSet() has an #internal Don't call from the outside. annotation on it, so I'm not sure what the consequences are..
Every source on the internet says to use recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet so why doesn't it work in this case?
P.S
The tags are managed by the EntityManager ($em->contains($tag) returns true)
This problem was related with a bug in UnitOfWork and finally it's fixed with the release of Doctrine ORM 2.4.3 on September 11, 2014. See DDC-2996 for details.
It seems that Doctrine 2.2 can merge change sets or generate new change sets, but it needs to know which. If you get it wrong, it will either replace your existing change sets or do nothing at all. I'd be very interested to know if there is a better option than this, or if this is even right.
if($uow->getEntityChangeSet($entity)) {
/** If the entity has pending changes, we need to recompute/merge. */
$uow->recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet($meta, $contact);
} else {
/** If there are no changes, we compute from scratch? */
$uow->computeChangeSet($meta, $entity);
}
In doctrine 2.4.1, use recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet only if you are changing tag in the event listener AND UOW contain tag ChangeSet (Change that happen outside of the event listener). Basically recomputeSingleEntityChangeSet is a function to merge ChangeSet for an entity.
Doc from the function
The passed entity must be a managed entity. If the entity already has a change set because this method is invoked during a commit cycle then the change sets are added whereby changes detected in this method prevail.
NOTE: You need to make sure UOW already have ChangeSet for the entity, otherwise it will not merge.
For future readers, at all cost try to avoid the listeners. Those are hardly testable, your domain should not rely on magic. Consider OP's test case how to achieve the same without Doctrine events:
Work class:
public function addTag(Tag $tag): void
{
if (!$this->tags->contains($tag)) {
$this->tags->add($tag);
$tag->addWork($this);
}
}
Tag class:
public function addWork(Work $work): void
{
if (!$this->works->contains($work)) {
$work->addTag($this);
$this->works->add($work);
$this->worksCount = count($this->works);
}
}
TagTest class:
public function testItUpdatesWorksCountWhenWorkIsAdded()
{
$tag = new Tag();
$tag->addWork(new Work());
$tag->addWork(new Work());
$this->assertSame(2, $tag->getWorkCount());
}
public function testItDoesNotUpdateWorksCountIfWorkIsAlreadyInCollection()
{
$tag = new Tag();
$work = new Work();
$tag->addWork($work);
$tag->addWork($work);
$this->assertSame(1, $tag->getWorkCount());
}

Joomla 2.5 content plugin

I'm trying to deploy a simple plugin to a Joomla 2.5 installation. The code in the plugin that is outside the class declaration runs and adds the two script tags to the head. However, the code within does nothing. I can't change the $article->title or $article->text. I've copy and pasted, verbatim from different articles, but everything seems to talk only about 1.5. The 1.7 stuff that I do find only mentions changing onPrepareContent to onContentPrepare. Neither seems to do anything. I would appreciate any help!
<?php
// No direct access.
defined( '_JEXEC' ) or die( 'Restricted access' );
class plgContentPicasaGallery extends JPlugin
{
/**
*
* #param string The context of the content being passed to the plugin.
* #param mixed An object with a "text" property.
* #param array Additional parameters.
* #param int Optional page number. Unused. Defaults to zero.
* #return boolean True on success.
*/
public function onContentBeforeDisplay($context, &$article, &$params, $page = 0)
{
if (is_object($article)) {
$article->text = "omfg, wtf?";
return true;
} else {
$article = "omfg, I'm not an object, wtf?";
return true;
}
}
}
Joomla documentation & tutorials a little bit out dated, new framework changed few things.
To find proper signatures simply look at /plugins/content/... files.
Below is proper function signature & phpdoc for onContentPrepare.
/**
* #param string The context of the content being passed to the plugin.
* #param object The article object. Note $article->text is also available
* #param object The article params
* #param int The 'page' number
*/
public function onContentPrepare($context, &$article, &$params, $page = 0)
{
...
}
My noobishness with Joomla prevailed over my good sense. I was editing the plugin files on the server and I was expecting that to update the plugin. Thanks for the help!
you can use this method
jimport('joomla.form.helper');
$urla= JRequest::getVar('id');
$urlview= JRequest::getVar('view');
if ($urlview=='article')
{}
if ($urla==10<- number id article )
{}
i know framework joomla is good but its for understanding method
