I don't want paste to be bound to Ctrl+v in the Enhanced Editor.
I have gone into Tools > Options > Enhanced Editor Keys, selected paste from clipboard and removed the default bindings of Ctrl+v and Shift+Insert. However, both Ctrl+v and Shift+Insert continue to paste from the clipboard.
I know that not all bindings are managed through the interface described above. For instance, there is separate binding management within the DMKEYS and VMKEYS screens.
Is there another location, perhaps in the registry, which I can edit and remove the default paste from clipboard bindings? If so, how do I do it?

In sitecore "content editor" we can use the "image editor" by clicking "edit image" in the data section, but in the experience editor it is not visible.
is there a way to make available for editors to use the image editor? or this behavior is a sitecore standard?
thanks for help
Picture field
I've just written it up in a blog post.
First you'll need to add a new button under
/sitecore/system/Field types/Simple Types/Image/WebEdit Buttons
You can duplicate one of the existing ones and change the icon and text yourself. Make the contents of the Click field:
chrome:field:editcontrol({command:"webedit:changeimage"})
(there's already a webedit:editimage so we can't name it that).
Open App_Config\Include\Sitecore.ExperienceEditor.config and duplicate the entry for webedit:chooseimage. Change the command name to webedit:changeimage as per above. Then change the type to the class you will create below.
If you have access to a decompiler, take a look at the existing command Sitecore.Shell.Framework.Commands.Shell.EditImage as well as the existing command
for selecting an image in Experience Editor Sitecore.Shell.Applications.WebEdit.Commands.ChooseImage. You'll see that they're similar, but unfortunately they use two different
methods of opening a dialog (Windows.RunApplication and SheerResponse.ShowModalDialog) so we can't reuse the existing class as-is. I have created a class that uses a bit of both (link below).
Create your class (eg. EditImage.cs), make it serializable and inherit from WebEditImageCommand like the other EE buttons. I have posted the full class as a gist for you.
When you select an image in the Experience Editor, you should now have an extra button in the list which opens the image editor in a modal window when clicked.
You need to do next steps, is not the most elegant way but you can do it:
In the Experience Editor, click the image that you want to edit, and in the floating toolbar that appears, click More and then Edit the related item. This opens the item in the Content Editor, from where you can scroll to the field that contains the image and click Edit image.
I know F9 opens the definitions windows in SAS Enhanced Editor but the changes made here seem to last only for the current session.
Is there a way to configure SAS so that the hotkeys stay effective for any subsequent sessions ?
Check the 'Save settings on exit' option is selected in 'preferences' (Menu: Tools -> Options -> Preferences). This option should be on the 'General' tab. I can't be sure this will do the trick though but I expect so.
Go here to read more about it:- http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/hostwin/63285/HTML/default/viewer.htm#customizing.htm
Typing 'keys' in the command box brings up current assignment of all hotkeys in SAS. You can edit these and save the keys. As you noted, you can only have one copy of SAS up and running to do this (or you have to do it on the version you opened first that locked the .profile).
You can also map the hotkeys to several commands.
For example, I have F8 mapped to do the following:
out;clear;log;clear;wpgm;submit;log;top;
That clears current output (if you still use ods listing), clears the current log, submits contents of program editor, and then positions cursor at top of log window for review.

I'm getting this unbearable white background in my Idea terminal. (WebStorm)
Does anyone know how I can change this?
Open File > Settings, and head to the Editor section > Colors & Fonts section. There, you'll see the Console Colors option.
Here, you'll get an interactive edit screen to determine what you want those console colors to look like. Click on the one that's most afflicted and edit its background color to match that of the console window.
Alternatively, if this is from a vanilla installation of your IDE, consider filing a bug against it.
Perhaps, you've changed color scheme of cmd. Delete the entire HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console key from the registry, it sets your cmd settings to defaults and fixes this bug.
Open Registry and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console
and remove
ScreenColors
key
This will reset color settings of your "cmd" window as well. However till JetBrains fixes this issue there is no other way around.
I would like to add a button to the Sitecore rich text editor toolbar, specifically one that inserts the H2 element.
I know the H2 element can be inserted using the paragraph styles pulldown menu, but all my editors are now using the bold button for their headings because they don't "see" the paragraph styles pulldown. So, I want to make the H2 easily available using a toolbar button. (And maybe even removing the bold buttons, since it's not semantic at all.)
But no matter how I go through the documentation, I cannot find a good explanation on how to do this.
In addition to the guide Yan posted, here's another guide.
I found a couple of walkthroughs for this...
Sitecore v6.3 and previous: link
Sitecore v6.4: link
Make sure that you select the core database (bottom right of Sitecore desktop) so that you can see the /sitecore/system/Settings/Html Editor Profiles area.
In my article here the first step of wiring up an event to a button is in javascript. From there you can insert text or tags. You can also get the selected text and wrap it in tags. You don't need to compile anything I was just showing how you would if you needed to, but you can entirely cut that piece out and just use the editor to send whatever text you want back to the wysiwyg editor.
My app uses standard single-line Edit Box controls. Is there any way to accept a multi-line "paste", discarding carriage return / linefeeds?
Notes
I don't want to use multi-line controls
My app is VS2010 C++ with WTL (not MFC or ATL)
The reason I want this is because actual input is normally quite short, but could in rare circumstances be hundreds or even thousands of characters. In which case users might well want to build the string using NotePad or whatever, then just cut & paste it in.
This is not possible as the user is pasting himself/herself. An alternative is to use a multi-line Edit Box and displaying all the data into one line by managing the pasted data into OnChange function for your control (basically disregading new lines).
