Can't resolve AWS RDS sql express server, Error, cant connect to ip,port - amazon-web-services

I have followed the guide, disabled my firewall, verified my security group allows access to everything (initially set to public). Still, 2 installs of mysql won't let ssms connect. No idea why this doesn't work

postgres gives me
could not connect to server: Connection timed out (0x0000274C/10060) Is the server running on host "posttest.cnmcgcqc8rkx.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com" (52.2.0.231) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
mysql can connect, might have to go with that
ecurity groups are not under RDS, they are under EC2's console. ACL's options are under VPC's console. This is not even mentioned in the guide. Seen someone connect on youtube with my exact settings...

This could be one of many things with the given information. The first thing I would check if you know your security groups are set up correctly is to open the port on the Network ACL Inbound Rules.

Connection error of AWS Redshift to local computer

I tried to connect Amazon Redshift to my local computer using pycopg2. However, I got an error message:
psycopg2.OperationalError: could not connect to server: Operation timed out. Is the server running on host xxx and accepting TCP/IP connecitons on posrt 5439
I have done two guides with searching google:
Changed the Publicly Accessible setting as enable, and
Add 0.0.0.0/0 and ::/0 to VPC route as gateway.
It still doesn't work. Please let me know if you know what the problem is.
Things to check:
Check the Security Group associated with the Redshift cluster and confirm that it permits access on port 5439 from your IP address
Check that the Redshift cluster was launched in a Public Subnet (with the Route Table for that subnet pointing to 0.0.0.0/0 to the Internet Gateway)
Make sure you are connecting by using the DNS Name (If you ping the DNS Name, does it resolve to an IP address?)
Try going via a different network (eg home vs office vs tethered via your phone)?

Unable to connect to AWS RDS server: could not connect to server: Connection timed out (0x0000274C/10060)

I am trying to connect to AWS RDS database using pgAdmin4, I encounter and error:
Unable to connect to server:
could not connect to server: Connection timed out (0x0000274C/10060)
Is the server running on host "database-1.xxxx.eu-west-2.rds.amazonaws.com" (xx.xxx.xxx.xx) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
I have tried to Allow Public Accessibility and InBound Rules from my IP. But I am still getting the error? What seems to be the issue?
I was facing the same error but for the MySQL database in rds. What I did was, I
went to http://checkip.amazonaws.com/ and checked the IP shown. I copied that IP and created a new security group by adding two rules, one is your standard all traffic rule, and the second is the one with custom IP which you just copied. Then went to rds and changed VPC security grp to both default and the one I just created. Do this and try to connect again. It worked for me
For a quick test, try opening your inbound rule like this. If it works, then you know the issue is your IP address in your inbound rule:
Once you set this- can you connect?

Problem connecting 2 external IP Google Cloud Platafform

I created my VM(Google Cloud Platform), working with Windows Server 2008 R2. So i installed a program that needs the port 6900 opened to run. The program for work must connect to it own server that is: 200.229.50.3:6900. So i entered in the firewall rules of Google Cloud Platform, put ip as 0.0.0.0/0 and opened the port 6900. Also entered in the advanced configures of firewall on my VM, and also allowed the port 6900. Tried to run the program and failed, tried to run telnet to test and failed. Already checked security settings, disabled firewall, etc. I don't know whats is happening.
Follow my Google Cloud Platafform Firewall Rules bellow:
Firewall Rules
Follow my instance Firewall Rules:
Instance Firewall Rules
Follow the program getting error trying to connect on it own server:
Program error
If someone want enter in my instance to check better it, can download the RDP file from here: RDP file
my external ip: 104.198.152.164
user: lala2018
password: ^#0aQaaz)MXbMNy
The program that the error is ocurring is on the desktop with the name xstart.
Feel free to run it, and try to understand what is the problem, because i can't find reasons for it isn't running right.
Someone can help me?
Edit 1:
Follow my VPC routting:
VPC 1 VPC 2
Edit 2:
Traced Route - 200.229.50.3
After seeing the screenshot of the message you attached, it looks like you are trying to connect from a GCP instance to the server "200.229.50.3" whose IP address belongs to "LEVEL UP! INTERACTIVE LTDA" in Brasil; however, seems "200.229.50.3" is not allowing you to connect ("200.229.50.3" it doesn't respond). If this is correct, you may have to create firewall rules in "200.229.50.3" instead of creating them in GCP.
I can see you have three rules to permit ingress and egress traffic from and to the GCP instances but none of them affects to "200.229.50.3" because this server doesn't belong to the GCP project:
- The GCP firewall rule named "testeee" allows incoming connections from the IP address 200.229.50.3 to all instances within your GCP project through the port 6900.
- The Windows firewall rule named "Port 6900" allows connections from any IP outside the Windows server through the port 6900.
- The GCP firewall rules "mean-stack" and "exit900" are allowing egress traffic from GCP instances to any IP outside the GCP project through the port 6900.
I tried to establish a telnet connection to 200.229.50.3:6900 but it doesn't respond. This could be normal because there could be a firewall in that server which is not allowing connections from my IP address; however, I have to ask the following:
Can you confirm 200.229.50.3 is allowing connections through the port 6900 from your GCP Instance?

EC2 is not responding for ssh connection

Another bad day. I have all the configuration for my ec2 instance.
Till yesterday I was able to connect it via ssh on mac. but know why it's not getting connect now.
Configuration is as below:
Security Group:-
I'm using below steps as usual and I'm same directory where mypleaks-inst.pem kept.
My guess: Your security group that was applied was "launch-wizard-2" which by default sets exlusion rules. You need to associate that EC2 instance with one of the two security groups listed in your second screen shot to allow TCP connections on port 22 from inbound ip range. OR you could modify launch-wizard-2 to incorporate the relevant rules to allow for ssh connection.
if you're sure nothing was changed on AWS side then perhaps your SSH service is down temporarily or permanently (the server was overloaded? You can do it with ease with T2.small).
Check NACL and routing, otherwise.

unable to connect sql server to AWS RDS ,error 258?

unabel to connect sql server to aws , any suggestions ?
remote connection is on , dbinstance and password is correct .
Did you by any chance neglect to open in your AWS security group inbound port (i.e. 1433) to the IP from which the connection is made? Open it to 0.0.0.0/0 if you elect to open to all (be cautioned about security implication though).
You may need to edit your vpc security group options.
I had the same issue and did that and was resolved.
