We are working on creating custom action to submit the data to SalesForce from WFFM. Has someone used SalesForce API or someother way to submit the data from WFFM to SalesForce?
There are three modules available that do what you're looking for.

We have a react app where i want to embed a powerbi service report.
That report (kept in powerbi service) data will update the user interact with our react app's database.
I know there is a way-
if we connect that report with an SQL database source, and everytime that database source is refreshed, we will hit a powerbi provided 'refresh report api' and the updated data will be reflected in the embedded report..
But I want to know if there is any other more elegant way to achieve the same?
Alternative way-
also if there is a way to create a new report inside powerbi service just by hitting a powerbi endpoint with given json, and then embed that newly created report inside our application. that will be better.
as far as i have seen there docs they have apis to clone, delete, update a report but not to create one?
in case you know please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
my another related question is here for more reference - Create a report in powerbi service through APIs in React
also this community discuss - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Create-a-report-in-powerbi-service-through-APIs-in-React/m-p/3055794
If you use a DirectQuery model the report will generate queries to your database when the user interacts with a report. There will be no "refresh".
I got a AWS amplify app with datastore categorie. Also user can login and add notes (AWS Cognito for authentication and GraphQL as API in order to insert data to the table). I coded the login function and further Backend services on ios plattform while using swift.
Those notes are created by different user. Now I want to provide those data for a user which only has read access and din't has to be logged in.
Question is, how to access to this data via a REST interface. Unfortunately I can't find any API address listed in the Table details. Does anyone has experience with this stack and can advice here ?
My goal is to provide all data to a usual visitor of the app. So he should be able to see all data, published by all users.
Appreciate your help.
I want to use FXM on the external Non-Sitecore website for tracking the click event which will download documents.
In the external website, User will login so Website is having additional details name, email, phone number etc for the user.So using FXM, can I get Name, email, phone number from the external website to the Sitecore contacts, Once I have this details in Sitecore can I trigger some goals and write some custom code to send this data to Salesforce (an API call)?
Not sure whether this is the right approach but I am just throwing it out. I can directly call the Salesforce API from the external website but I want to take advantage of Sitecore features so that I track the website analytics data.
You can trigger a Sitecore Goal on the txternal site in FXM on the button for the form.
For Salesforce integration have you considered Salesforce connect? https://dev.sitecore.net/Downloads/Salesforce_Connect.aspx
This is a two part question.
Using Web Forms for Marketers 2.3:
Is it possible to have a cookie be created on successful submission?
Without actually exporting the ascx file, would like to keep it in Sitecore.
Second question, would it be better to have a content editor choose which item has the form or would it be better/easier to have a dropdown to pick which form is needed and then have the code determine which form to show.
Thank for any insight!!!
For the First question,
If you have Sitecore DMS, on a successful submission there is an event, and a Goal maybe you can use that, insteed of a cookie.
See https://doc.sitecore.net/sitecore%20experience%20platform/personalization/walkthrough%20personalizing%20components for using it with personalization rules the picturs are for Sitecore 8 but basically the same for Sitecore 6.5+
Programmatically you can use the Analytics API, see https://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore6/65/engagement_analytics_api_cookbook_sc65-a4.pdf for Sitecore 6. The API has changed considerably with Sitecore 7.5.
An alternative is to set the cookie on the Success page.
you can have a Success page, or a Success message in WFFM. for a message use something like this:
Thanks <script>document.cookie="formsuccess=ok";</script>
For a webshop i'm using Sitecore Webforms For Marketers. There is a multiple server configuration with 2 Content Delivery Server(CDS) and 1 Content Management Server(CMS). On the CDS servers is no possibility to write data, so i have configured a webservice to forward the form data from the CDS to the CMS server.
What's the goal? There are 2 forms where a user can:
Post a review for a product at the products detail page
Post a review for a product and select the product in a dropdownlist at a global
page
The problem is that i have less experience with Sitecore Webforms For Marketers. It's important that the review's parent item the right product is. I have read the developer manual and figured out there are several save actions, but not the one i prefer. Do I need to create a custom save action or is there a simple workaroud (e.g. with workflows)?
Thanks a lot!
Jordy
Create a save action that calls your web service and submits the data to your CM instance.
