I am tring to install Apache wamp server and everytime I have the error:
php-win.exe
The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing.
I have installed Microsoft C++ 2008 Redistributable-x64 9.0.21022.218 but nothing to do. My OS is a Windows 7 Ultimate Sp1.
you need to install the following
Microsoft Visual C/C++ Redistributable 2008 (VC9),
Microsoft Visual C/C++ Redistributable 2010 (VC10),
Microsoft Visual C/C++ Redistributable 2012 (VC11),
Microsoft Visual C/C++ Redistributable 2013 (VC13),
Microsoft Visual C/C++ Redistributable 2015 (VC14)

Visual studio 2017 community is installed on my PC along with Visual Studio Build Tools 2017. I am using Windows 10.
Is it still necessary to install Visual C++ Build Tools? Is there a possibility that there will be some packages that cannot be compiled if Visual C++ Build Tools is not available even though Visual Studio Build Tools 2017 is there?
To use intel fortran in windows environment with other commercial software package, pre-requisite is to have Microsoft Visual C++:
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 cross tools
If I check my installed programs, I see that "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 redistributable 10.0.40219"
Is "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 redistributable 10.0.40219" different from "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 cross tools"?
Over the web, I read that to have Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 cross tools, I need to install MS visual studio 2010.
Do I have to purchase MS visual studio to have "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 cross tools" ?
So I am confused !
Thanks in advance for your prompt response !
Redistributables are just the libraries you are permitted to install to get msvc built applications to run on the client system.
It is not the same as having msvc 2010 installed on a system.
Things with different names are generally different things, even if part of the name is similar.
I've been trying to start mysql and apache servers locally on my machine for a school homework with the help of MAMP3.2.1 but everytime I open MAMP, i get these errors:
From what i gathered from the net, this error appears when I'm installing 32bit software on a 64bit machine. Another report pointed on the error being caused by not having miscrosoft's visual c++ redistributable 2015 installed. I did that, but the error didn't go away. MAMP's only version for windows (I'm having 8.1) is 3.2.1 so I can't swap versions. Really any help would be much appreciated
Edit: I can't even intall the redistr packages right:
The problem is that the Universal CRT which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install or is missing.
Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:
For Windows 64-bit
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (64-bit)
For Windows 32-bit
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (32-bit)
Run the vc_redist.x64.exe (64-bit) or vc_redist.x86.exe (32-bit) to install it and it should work fine
I am using Visual Studio 2013 community and created C++ project.
I want to share the project with a colleague working with Visual Studio 2012 professional.
Once he took the project he had to change the toolset to v110 and it worked just fine for him.
When he shared it back with me I got the message:
error MSB8020: The build tools for Visual Studio 2012 (Platform Toolset = 'v110') cannot be found.
To build using the v110 build tools, please install Visual Studio 2012 build tools.
Alternatively, you may upgrade to the current Visual Studio tools by selecting the Project menu or right-click the solution, and then selecting "Upgrade Solution...".
I do not want to upgrade the solution, as that will cause us each time to change the project, but I couldn't find anywhere to download the VS2012 build tools.
Where can I find Visual Studio 2012 build tools?
You can have both Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2013 installed on the same machine. Once you have both installed you can use the Visual Studio 2012 compiler in Visual Studio 2013.
So I suggest you install Visual Studio 2012. I think Express edition should be enough.
Alternatively, your colleague can install Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition alongside his existing Visual Studio 2012 Professional Edition. I think the features are roughly equivalent the only question is if they are breaking the license terms.
When I develop a application which can be run in Window XP using Visual Studio 2012,
I set Visual Studio 2012 - Windows XP (v110_xp) to the platform toolset property.
But if I want to build the application using Intel Compiler XE 2013 with Visual Studio 2012,
that property should be Intel C++ Compiler XE 13.0 I suppose.
And a built executable with the property can't be run in Windows XP with message "$APPNAME is not a valid Win32 application."
How can I build executables which can be run in Window XP using Visual Studio 2013 and Intel Compiler XE 2013?
My development environment is as follows:
Development machine : Window 7 Update1
Target machine : Window XP SP3
Compiler : Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Update3 and Intel C++ Composer XE 2013
I found a solution in Intel official articles.
