Optional Column Name for Table.NestedJoin with an Inner JoinKind - powerbi

In the query below I perform a join on a the Rep table with the Customer to exclude Reps that do not have any customers assigned.

Because it is an inner join I don't need the resulting Customer column. I then delete that column.
Is there a way to shorten this? I have tried excluding the new column name Customer or passing in null and it only generates an error.
I appreciate this may just not be possible due to the language being quite young but thought I may have missed something in the docs.

Table.Join might do what you want, or after the result of Table.NestedJoin you can add a custom column that calls Table.RemoveColumns on the table column. That would probably look like this (didn't verify the code works):
Table.AddCustomColumn(merge_customer, "InnerColumnRemoved", each Table.RemoveColumns([RepCode], {"Customer"}))
And then you would remove the RepCode column

Power BI LOOKUPVALUE with a column of values for the search items? (VLOOKUP alternative)

In Power BI, I need to create a VLOOKUP alternative. From the research I've done, this is done with the LOOKUPVALUE function, but the problem is that function needs one specific SEARCH ITEM, which isn't super helpful in a VLOOKUP type scenario where you have a full column of values to search for?
Given these two tables, connected through the user_name and first_name columns:
...what's the formula needed in order to create a new column in the Employee_Table called phone_call_group by using the names as the search items in order to return the group they belong to? So how can I end up with this?
(Forget that the entries in each table are already sorted, needs to be dynamic). Will be back tomorrow to review solutions.
In Power BI you have relations between tables instead of Excel's VLOOKUP function.
In your case you just have to create a one-to-one relation between
'Phone_Call_Table'[user_name] and 'Employee_Table'['first_name]'
With that you can add a Calculated Column to your 'Employee_Table' using the following expression:
phone_call_group = RELATED(Phone_Call_Table[group])
and in the data view the table will look like this:
LOOKUPVALUE() is just a workaround if for other reasons you can't establish that relation. What you've been missing so far is that in a Calculated Column there is a Row Context which gives you exactly one value per row for the <search_value> (this is different from Measures):

Conditionally Filtering Out Rows based on 2 Parameters in w/ Power Query

I have a table similar to the one attached below:
What I would like to do, using power query, is conditionally filter out (remove) rows where CenterNum = 1101 and DepCode = 257. I figured Table.SelectRows() would work but it doesn't and the query just returns, this table is empty. The #"Expanded AccountLookup" ,in my formula below, is referencing the power query applied step before the one I am trying to create. I'm hoping to get some input on how to remove rows based on these two paramters.

You didn’t post a screenshot so it is hard to tell if the column format is text or numerical but try removing the quotes around the numbers

If that doesn't work, check the actual column names against what you are using, especially for case (upper/lower) and leading/trailing spaces. The best way to do that is to temporarily rename it, and look at the code for the "from name"

How to add a new column with custom values, based on a WHERE clause from another table in PowerBi?

I am stuck while dynamically forming a new column based certain WHERE clause from another Table in PowerBi. To give more details, let's say I have a table with item numbers associated with a Customer Name. In another table, I have to add a new column, which will dynamically add the item numbers associated with a particular customer and append as a query parameter to a base url.
So, my first table looks like this:
The second table that I want is this:
The query parameter value in the URL, has to be dynamically based on a SELECT query with a WHERE clause and pick up the ItemNumbers using the Customer field which is common between both. So, how can this be done in PowerBi? Any help would be really appreciated :)
I have one table in my model "TableRol" if I want to summarize my Date as the string I can use CONCATENATEX;

Trying to Reorder Columns in Data View in Power BI

Is there a way I can reorder columns in 'Data View' within Power BI? I tried doing it in Power Query first but when the data loads into the table, the columns automatically rearrange.

There is easy fix to enforce column order just as in Power Query:
In Power Query Editor > Disable Query Load. Close and Apply.
Open the Query Editor again, enable the Query Load. Refresh the Query. Then Close and Apply.
Answer to misunderstood question.
This may be interesting solution in M PowerQuery. The function below let you reorder columns by only stating few columns from the whole set of columns. Add this in blank query and rename it to FnReorderColumnsSubset.

It is extremely stupid way, but it is working - i found it by accident:
In edit query view remove the column, then save changes. You will see that in data view that column was removed as well.
Now again in edit query view remove from applied steps the action that removed the column. Save it again.
You will see that removed previously column was added to the end of the table.
This way you can arrange your columns to have it the way you want it in data view.

I don't know that you can rearrange an existing table, but if you re-create it as a new table, you can pick the order you want.

I think most here have misunderstood the problem, except #Jacko. So far as I know it is now possible to re-arrange columns in Power Query and load to the model and the table will load in the column order you specified in PQ. The problem is in dataview in the modelling layer of PBi. Here you can add many calculated columns, but, any new column you add is always placed at far right and can't be moved. Yes, I know about SELECTCOLUMNS but it isn't a solution as the new table does not have the editable formulae. A solution is a drag and drop feature of some sort. PBi users are still waiting for it despite the problem being flagged in MS Forums some years ago. No progress TIKO other than the limp SELECTCOLUMNS solution.

How to substitute NULL with value in Power BI when joining one to many

In my model I have table AssignedToUser that don't contain any NULL values.
Table TotalCounts contains number of tasks for each User.
Those two table joined on UserGUID, and table TotalCounts contains NULL value for UserGUID.
When I drop everything in one table there is NULL value for AssignedToUser.
How can I substitute value NULL for AssignedToUser for "POOL".
Under EditQuery I tried to Create additional column
if [AssignedToUser] = null then "POOL" else [AssignedToUser]
But that didnt help.

I have created FullAssignedToUsers table, but when I try to make a relationship with TotalCounts on UserGUID - it doesnt like it.

I believe the problem here is that your join has UserGUID values that are not in your AssignedToUsers table.
To correct this, one possibility is to replace your AssignedToUsers table with one that contains all the UserGUID values from the TotalCounts table.

The should get you the full outer join. You can then create the custom column like you described in the table and use that column in your visual.
You'll probably want to break the relationships with the original AssignedToUsers table and create relationships with the new one instead.
