I would like to use Loopback to do CRUD via SOAP after having expose it as REST with the SOAP connector (https://docs.strongloop.com/display/public/LB/SOAP+connector). Can someone provide me code examples of this? I have not been able to find such docs anywhere.
There's one in the loopback-example repo:

I'm considering using GraphQL with a Django backend service but I couldn't find much information regarding the API documentation. I need some solution to dynamically generate the documentation, perhaps like npm's graphql-docs with a result similar to GitHub's API docs.
Is it feasible to accomplish with graphene-django? If not, what's a good alternative for a python environment?
Yes, it's very easy to do by using GraphiQL, which is embedded in to Graphene.
The instructions on how to integrate this with Graphene are here in the graphene-python documentation. --- basically you need to add the parameter graphiql=True when setting up the API route in your urls.py file.
After it is set up, if go to your API endpoint in your browser, you'll see a nice interface for sending API calls, getting API responses, and reading documentation for both queries and mutations. The documentation is initially hidden on the right until you click on the "< Docs" link.
In Laravel 4 framework, how to create a SOAP based web service. I would like to build a SOA based web application in laravel. Please clarify with an example how to use web service with some step by step examples or links as i am completely new to laravel
Thanks in advance..
You can use "php-wsdl-creator" (also supports SOAP). They have a great tutorial and many demo php files to get you started. It can also easily be implemented in laravel or any other framework for that matter. :)
You can find more information on Google Code: https://code.google.com/p/php-wsdl-creator/
Also note that SOAP requires an extension to be loaded in PHP.
For more recent needs, you should use a Project such as wsdl2phpgenerator or PackageGenerator from WsdlToPhp. This sort of projects, requirable with composer, use an OOP approach and allows to build a SOAP request easily with PHP objects then handle the response just as the request with PHP objects.
I'm really new in Java Web Service. I can say that my knowledge level is only 10%. Can somebody please give me a HelloWorld Example of JAX-WS (client - service) with explanations?...
This might be a common question and perhaps a duplicate one too. But I would like to provide some links which might get you started.
This mkyong blog has good explanation with all the necessary examples.
Another blog which has provided two different articles for setting up the server and accessing it with the client.
You can also search it in google and get plenty of references to look.
Hope it will help you get started.
EDIT:
Another Dzone article that also has provided an example.
All these examples are JAX-WS.
Or oracle tutorial:

I am new to Enyo and web services. I am looking to build a web page with Enyo that will require use of Echonest. Can anyone help me understand how to connect to the Echonest service from inside Enyo and whether to use SOAP, REST, or something else?
I assume you are talking about the Echo Nest found here: http://the.echonest.com ?
Briefly glancing at their API, you may not have to use SOAP or REST since everything is accessible with simple GET requests through the Web service. It looks like the hardest part of using their API will be generating OAuth signatures for authenticated requests.
As far as the enyo.WebService, http://enyojs.com/api/#enyo.WebService, goes, you should be able to include the kind, set the URL and call the .send() method on it. Then you response handler would get the data back (I recommend json) so you can do what you will with it.
Another option would be to use enyo.Ajax, http://enyojs.com/api/#enyo.Ajax, directly. enyo.WebService wraps that and provides a familiar (to Enyo 1 developers) way to use it.
I am trying to set up a web store using magento on a SOA Architecture. So I intend to use all of the functionalities through the API connecting it with mule ESB.
However on my research I have read that the magento API is Silly Slow. And now I am wondering if it actually can handle the requests of an entire website.
Has anybody done something like this before? Can it actually work? If not, is there a workaround?
Regards
Leo
No, it is not viable to setup a store using only Magento's SOAP and RPC APIs. THat is not the intention of these APIs.
There are examples where people have done what you are looking for such as http://www.yireo.com/software/magebridge
They claim to be 40% faster than native Magento.
I've tried the tool, and it is quite functional.
