Jenkins amazon-ecr plugin issue - amazon-web-services

I'm using amazon-ecr plugin for Jenkins, it went well for a long time and suddenly broke today

Docker Build runs fine, if I remove the ECR auth and fails only at push.
I have no knowledge in java, and not sure what, the above error says
Update
This feels to be a issue with Jenkins upgrade. Installing fresh Jenkins and amazon-ecr does work fine.
Leaving the question open.
thanks much,
Shan

/var/lib/jenkins/.dockercfg might become blank for some reason.
Try removing that file and rerunning build job.
That should generate new .dockercfg file and the issue will be fixed.

How to add trix.css when it is removed after pruning?

After pruning with the command "docker system prune -a" nodejs wont build anymore beacuse trix.css is missing. I am assuming this was probably deleted while pruning. How can I resolve this error (see the error below)? Why is it not created again while building the container again since the file is in the docker file.
Required path doesn't exist: /code/bower_components/trix/dist/trix.css trix

Usually I use this command : "sudo docker-compose -f docker-compose-staging.yml build nodejs" when I want to build the container again. I am very new to this and would be greatfull for some help.
For me, this was the case:
The issue exists because trix.css was removed in the latest version. It has nothing to do with docker system prune as far as I understand.
You can compare the two versions here: https://github.com/basecamp/trix/compare/1.3.1...v2.0.0
Basically, in order to fix this issue, you need to do
yarn install
yarn build
inside bower_components. This is suggested in the official updated README of the trix repository: https://github.com/basecamp/trix.
Once done with that, you will have trix.css and trix.umd.min.js files for your perusal.

gcloud stop working - "was unexpected at this time."

I just update my google cloud SDK on windows 10 (gcloud components update).
After the update the gcloud command stop working.
All I get is (for example : gcloud -h):
PATH\lib\gcloud.py" -h" was unexpected at this time.
I try to re-install but it didn't help:(
As noted in the other answers, this is a bug with the 274.0.0 version of gcloud. Another report of this issue actually identifies where the bug is and offers this fix:
If you are stuck and need an immediate solution, here's a workaround that will move you forward, but you should reinstall the Cloud SDK from scratch when a fix is ready.
Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Cloud SDK\google-cloud-sdk-bin\gcloud.cmd in your editor
Near line 170, change ) ELSE ( to be just )
Remove the ) on the last line in the file.
That should get you working in the short term (albeit with an extraneous error message every time you run a command). After getting it working you can revert to version 273.0.0 (so that you stop getting the error message and aren't using a modified version) using:
gcloud components update --version=273.0.0
This is being tracked in the public bug https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/146458519
We have a patch for two files that are causing these problems. These apply in two cases (both on Windows):
1. A new install fails, or
2. You are unable to run gcloud after performing a components update.
For case # 1, please download the attached file install.bat, and copy it to the location where you have attempted to install gcloud, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Cloud SDK\google-cloud-sdk. Then run it, e.g.
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Cloud SDK\google-cloud-sdk
.\install.bat
For both cases #1 and #2, download the attached file gcloud.cmd, and copy it to the bin directory under your gcloud installation, e.g.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Cloud SDK\google-cloud-sdk\bin. When prompted to replace the previous copy, type Yes. This should allow you to run gcloud without being prompted to set CLOUDSDK_PYTHON.
The files are attached in the public bug tracker.
This is a known issue that is being tracked here
After hours of trying to fix it! I found how :)
uninstall google SDK
https://dl.google.com/dl/cloudsdk/channels/rapid/google-cloud-sdk.zip
https://cloud.google.com/sdk/docs/downloads-interactive#interactive_installation
This fix the bug.
After that I had new bug in pyCharm GAE:
ImportError: No module named _subprocess
I fix this with the solution here:
Error importing built-in module "_subprocess" using Google Cloud Platform's Local Development Server
Hope this helps and saves a lot of trouble for you guys :)
I solved this problem. I got the same error message.
My Env: gcloud v274.0.0, Windows 7
First, I re-installed Google SDK, and changed my path to \Google\CloudSDK\.
Second, I got this message
"\Google\CloudSDK\google-cloud-sdk\bin..\lib\gcloud.py" init" was unexpected at this time."
So I tried to use cd command to specific directory where gcloud.py is exist.
Finally, I found the path: \Google\CloudSDK\google-cloud-sdk\lib, and it works.
Hope it can help you, too.
The problem, or rather bug within the installer, is that you are using a directory that contains spaces within it. At some point of the script the space causes the command to be split up incorrectly, causing the error.
I had the same message and fixed it by re-installing the Google Cloud SDK in a directory without spaces (c:\Google\CloudSDK)

Vue CLI plugin to add Jest test runner doesn't transpile .js files

Just a quick disclaimer, I cannot reproduce this on another project, which is why I'm here instead of making an issue on the Github.
Issue
So a quick demo project I made to show a co-worker how to use the Vue test utils, went off the wagon. It doesn't get picked up in the transform part of the jest.config.js.
I made the project with the Vue CLI, using vue create demo-project choosing ESlint and Babel, then running vue add #vue/cli-plugin-unit-jest. Everything went fine, I committed, ran the test command and everything went fine.
So we started testing snapshots, and everything was fine. Next day, come back to the project to keep going, and this is the error I get.
> vue-jest#0.1.0 test:unit .../demo-projects/vue-jest
> vue-cli-service test:unit
FAIL tests/unit/example.spec.js
● Test suite failed to run
Jest encountered an unexpected token
This usually means that you are trying to import a file which Jest cannot parse, e.g. it's not plain JavaScript.
By default, if Jest sees a Babel config, it will use that to transform your files, ignoring "node_modules".
Here's what you can do:
• To have some of your "node_modules" files transformed, you can specify a custom "transformIgnorePatterns" in your config.
• If you need a custom transformation specify a "transform" option in your config.
• If you simply want to mock your non-JS modules (e.g. binary assets) you can stub them out with the "moduleNameMapper" config option.
You'll find more details and examples of these config options in the docs:
https://jestjs.io/docs/en/configuration.html
Details:
.../demo-projects/vue-jest/tests/unit/example.spec.js:1

Just running the normal npm run test:unit results in the example.spec.js that comes with the test utils is not babel'ed, and fails in the Node test environment.
Attempted Solutions
Did not work
Deleting node_modules and reinstalling
Deleting package-lock.json, in addition to the above step ( separately done )
Reverting back to the commit when it was working
Checking out to a different branch, deleting all the files that vue add #vue/cli-plugin-unit-jest added, then running the command again to re-create all the files
jest.config.js
tests/ - and all it's files
Worked
Pretty clear what's happening, so in the jest.config.js file, I added the .js file under the transform field.
transform: {
'^.+\\.vue$': 'vue-jest',
'.+\\.(css|styl|less|sass|scss|svg|png|jpg|ttf|woff|woff2)$': 'jest-transform-stub',
'^.+\\.(js|jsx)?$': 'babel-jest' // added .js
},
This solution solves the problem, and properly transforms the example.spec.js
Attempted Recreation
I tried to see if this was a bug by creating another project, running the same steps and it worked just fine. I even copied and pasted all the files from the broken one to the new one, looking for differences in git. It was exactly the same. Which is why I thought it might be node_modules, but it still didn't work.
Uhh
Hopefully this isn't a waste of time for anyone reading since it's not truly a problem. I mainly wanted to have it for anyone who might have the same issue to see that adding the .js extension would solve the problem without having to start over, but also curious if anyone has insight on why this might be happening?

Getting error while building project "com.bea.util.jam.internal.javadoc.JavadocClassloadingException:"

I am getting error while trying to build a java project in TeamCity. The same project builds and excecutes well on my local. I recently pushed changes to this project on GitLab. This is my first time working with GitLab and TeamCity together. Other projects have no issues during build. I am unable to understand what is causing this error:
[15:58:54][Step 1/1] compile.earCommons (4s)

com.bea.util.jam.internal.javadoc.JavadocClassloadingException: An error
has occurred while invoking javadoc to inspect your source
files. This may be due to the fact that $JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar does
not seem to be in your system classloader. One common case in which
this happens is when using the 'ant' tool, which uses a special
context classloader to load classes from tools.jar.
This situation elicits what is believed to a javadoc bug in the initial
release of JDK 1.6. Javadoc attempts to use its own context classloader
tools.jar but ignores one that may have already been set, which leads
to some classes being loaded into two different classloaders. The
telltale sign of this problem is a javadoc error message saying that
'languageVersion() must return LanguageVersion - you might see this
message in your process' output.
This will hopefully be fixed in a later release of JDK 1.6; if a new
version of 1.6 has become available, you might be able to solve this
by simply upgrading to the latest JDK.
Alternatively, you can work around it by simply including
$JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar in the java -classpath
parameter. If you are running ant, you will need to modify the standard
ant script to include tools.jar in the -classpath.

I'll appreciate any help in this regard.
I found there was character encoding issue with one of the files that prevented compiler from loading the java classes. Once that was fixed, the build worked fine.

Minko error building SDK

I am trying to compile the Minko framework on Windows 10 targeted at HTML. However, I'm hitting an error running the build_html5.bat script.
I've followed the instructions and completed all the steps (except for moving from the main branch to the dev branch, which is listed as optional). I cloned the source, set the new Environment Variable, ran the install_emscripten.bat file, and ran the specified commands in the emscripten command prompt.
However, when I try to run the build_html5.bat script, I get the following error:
I've looked in the MINKO_HOME directory and was able to find the jsoncpp.cpp file, but the jsoncpp.o file is not where in the directory specified in the command being called. The only file in MINKO_HOME/framework/obj/html5/release is a file named 'linker.rsp'.
I tried pulling down the dev branch into a different directory and updating the MINKO_HOME variable accordingly. I couldn't find the tool directory, but I was able to run the script scripts/solution_gmake_full.bat, after my first error trying to run build_html5_full.bat. When trying to run build_html5_full.bat, however, I get a different error:
Am I missing something here? Any help would be appreciated!
Sincerely,
Alex
