gdb doesn't exist or is not executable in Free Pascal - gdb

I've installed lazarus and Free Pascal. Everything is ok. But when i run an empty project i get: The debugger "/usr/bin/gdb" does not exist or is not executable. See Tools->Options->Debugger options. I'm going mad, don't know how to fix it. Plz somebody help me

GDB is the GNU debugger, and is an external dependency. Make sure GDB is installed and at /usr/lib/gdb or adjust the setting appropriately

VScode says there are include errors when I try to write c++ programs

I haven't been able to compile c++ programs on vscode (or any IDE for that matter) and I can not for the life of my figure out why. This happened after I factory reset my computer due to other issues. Everything was working fine until then. I re-installed gcc through MinGW and checked that it is installed by typing gcc in command prompt. I can even compile programs through command prompt, which proves that gcc is installed. I would much prefer to use code though, and I was wondering if anyone knew why code is complaining about include paths.
Here's an image of the relevant file with the paths
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Install C++ extension, you can find more information here:

First time using SFML-2.5.1 in NetBeans IDE 8.2 I ran into the problem

After the setup I've done in the properties of the project: at C++Compiler and Linker in both Release and Debug configurations I tried to build the project, which went successful.
Then I decided to run it and had some difficulties: using External Terminal, that did absolutely nothing, Standard output, that showed some text related to dll files I've clue about, Internal Terminal, that showed the very same text.
After that didn't work I went for cmd execution and what I saw was this.
Could you explain what that means and what I'm supposed to do. I'm new to all that kind of stuff, so I apologise if I did something stupid.
Cheers
EDIT: If not seen, I'm using Windows 10 and the version of SFML is GCC 7.3.0 MinGW (DW2) - 32-bit

Debugging a Qt application on Windows

my Qt (QML/C++) application crashes and I can not find the reason why. I tried to output a lot of information but some signal/slot connection probably causes a crash. I spent many hours trying to find the reason but I failed.
The only good point is that I can reproduce the crash whenever I want.
Unfortunately I don't know hot to use the included GDB debugger. This is the output I got:
How do I find from this what happened and where? I need to find at least the function, in which my application crashed.
Or what else could I try? Unfortunately I can not disable the signal/slot connections or the associated functions, because then I can not get to the point, where it crashes.
Qt has detailed documentation on how to install a debugger found here: QtCreator Debugger
MingW does have a GDB that can be used to debug the application better. You can also use CDB to debug, just depends on your preference.
Once that is installed, you'll be able to set breakpoints and check variable information to see where your program is crashing using the Debugger view in QtCreator.
Tools->Options->Build & Run
If you have Qt version kit like this you need to check debuggers.

You need to install MinGW and after install you will be have debugger. After install press F5 to start debuging.

Eclipse C++ GDB debugger for Mac

i've been trying for a whole day to use Eclipse but i failed every time.
I know that i may be wrong and i do know that there are a lot of people out there who are working hard for an open source project, but if i can't use a program, run and debug an "Hello world" file, there must be something wrong.
I'm using OSX 10.9.5 (yeah, maybe using a mac is my first error, right?).
Every time i try to debug the "Hello World.cpp" program i get the following error.

Yes, i've searched everywhere on google.
Yes, i've already seen the other replies on a similar topic and i've already tried the solutions they offered. Sadly, it didn't work.
Thanks guys for your patience, i hope to learn how to code and maybe being helpful to others one day.
Luca
p.s. writing the error so other people who are googling it can find it

There is another option to debug you code using LLDB debugger.
You can check this link for install the LLDB debugger integration.
It is super easy and does the work.
Btw The GDB debugger is part of GNU. Xcode does not use GNU tools (gcc, gdb) anymore. Xcode uses LLVM. LLVM's debugger is LLDB.
Some info about it:
apple developers,
The LLDB Debugger
Probably your problem has been solved, but sharing another solution to others cant be bad :)
This is relevant to macOS Sierra also.
This is a relatively well known "issue" on OS X (which btw is a pain-in-the-neck-to-develop-c++ on). You first need to install g++ and GDB debugger (since LLVM clang++ in combination with LLVM debugger are not yet supported by Eclipse on OS X). The easiest way is via macports. First install macports via the native installer, then, from a terminal, install g++ and gdb (debugger)
sudo port install gcc5 # or gcc49
and
sudo port install gdb
After this, you need to codesign it, see this link. The name of the debugger will be ggdb (not gdb), and macoprts will install it in /opt/local/bin/ggdb.

eclipse debugging is not working as expected

i am debugging c++ with eclipse on a linux VM.
The eclipse I am using is Kepler Service Release 1.
I compile the files using Automake.
When I try to debug in Eclipse and do stepover it sometimes jump to backward lines, sometimes it goes into the line. Also when there is a problem it just shows nothing. When I try to see variables it doesn't always succeed. It seems the Eclipse behavior is not so good.
I come from Windows programming and it looks very much like I saw when we compiled release version and tried to debug it in Visual.
Can anyone plesae assist? I can't debug like this. Is there any configuration? something I do wrong?
Thanks
As Martin James stated all I needed was to turn off all optimizations.
I had -o2 flag and needed to remove it.
