I'm trying to upload a file to a website via iMacros. Normally this is pretty easy and you would use code like the following:
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:FILE FORM=ID:example ATTR=NAME:uploaded_file CONTENT=file_path_goes_here
However, there is no INPUT:FILE tag on this page. So the code above does not work.
When you click the upload button on this web site, its just a link that does a postback and then magically a File Upload dialog box appears.
iMacros has no mechanism for writing to upload dialog boxes from what I know.
Any ideas on how to approach this or any experience uploading files via iMacros via non-traditional upload methods?
Thanks

As I am new to dotCMS, just wondering is it support any script through which I can upload/publish my multiple contents(i.e well structured directory) as whole. For example I have multiple text files with contents to publish how can i do this in one shot ?
I know it support dynamic content page, but seems that works on already created content/page.
There are two ways:
You can either put all the content in an Excel file and use the "import content" option of the "Add new Content" button in the dotCMS admin "Content" tab. To know what the Excel structure should be, first download a piece of the content you plan to upload by clicking on the "Export button in the same page".
The second way is to use the Restfull content API. Check the documentation on how to use it.
I am trying to run Imacro on my works intranet. I have installed the Firefox plugin, the IE plugin the Chrome plugin. I have also installed the trail version of Imacro.
Basically what I need to do is to kick off a imacro script from a button click, I do not want the user to have to open the plugin and choose the file from the plugin window. The users WILL have the plugins, but I just want it to kick off from a html button click.
But the problem is all the examples say iimPlay(..) but iimPlay is undefined in all browsers, even after everything is installed (I cant find a imacros.js file to reference)
I want to be able to store the macro (.iim) file inside a directory on the webpage, and then run iimPlay() from a js file stored on the same webpage.
Is that possible?
For my Python app,I had completed the basic settings to interact with google drive api and found it working by a test upload of a CSV file. Now I need to upload an image from a url to a newly created folder named 'myappname' in Google Drive.
Thanks in advance
For now, there is no way you can directly upload file from url. There are two workaround I can think of
Download file and upload it back using Files.insert()
Use Save to Drive button
Using save to Drive button requires user interaction to click the button which might not be the one you want. In that case, downloading and uploading is the only way I can think of.
I have a small email client. I would like to be able to upload files without having to submit a form. So, I have my email form. I would like to, whenever I use the file input button on my form, that file would be uploaded without any reload of the page. The goal is to be able to upload multiple files without a reload of the page, something similar to what happens in GMail.
Every time you click the file input and choose a file, a small progress bar appears with the upload progress, and the page is not reloaded.
I am guessing some JS/Ajax library might help me achieve this? I am using HTML5.
Thank you
Blueimp has a great jQuery-based throttling file uploader.
Is it possible to find any open source template editors.. i wanted my site users to edit the contents of module as well as css. Once they click the edit, it should open a specific module or file name.. so the users can change the css and content and then click ok. Then after refresh the change in css and content should be reflected..
I am looking for something similar to the one in Wordpress Admin panel..where you can edit different files like header.php, style.css etc..
Any available scripts or demos or plugins or examples would be very helpful, as i can customize them to my needs
You can use html editor like fckeditor or tinymce and on server side save as php file and css file.
I on my site use JQuery rte editor and JSON RPC (Ajax -> PHP).
Finally i figured out the answer.. Some of them are
Bespin,
Ecoder
Ymacs
codemirror
emacs
they allow you to embed in your site.. and allow the users to edit the template of pages.
