Sitecore VirtualFolder that is a Language Abreviation - sitecore

We need to have our site have a starting url of domain.com/fa/en
I can setup the site node to have the virtualFolder and physicalFolder set to "/foo/bar" and things work when I go to domain.com/foo/bar I am shown the home page.
However if I set this to "/fa/en" I get a document not found. I believe what is happening is Sitecore sees the "fa" and thinks it is a language setter (fa is portugese I think). How do I tell Sitecore that this is not a language indicator and it is a virtualFolder?
thanks,
~james

The fix is in these two links in case anyone else runs into the issue:

Tracker.Current.Interaction.Referrer is empty

When clicking on a link that links to my Sitecore site, I expect Tracker.Current.Interaction.Referrer to be filled. However, it is not.
I know there are scenario's where you don't get a Referrer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/6880668/1797792
Strange thing is however, that HttpContext.Current.Request.UrlReferrer.Host does contain the referrer in my case. So why isn't the Sitecore Tracker aware of this? And more importantly, how do I make it aware?
Turns out that Tracker.Current.Interaction doesn't reset if you come from a different referrer. It is saved in the session.
It only sets the Tracker.Current.Interaction.Referrer if Tracker.Current.Interaction == null
Closing the browser and then coming clicking on a link referring to the site will fill Tracker.Current.Interaction.Referrer like expected.

making permanent changes to the path of cookies

Where can I make changes if I want to make permanent changes in cookie-path value for my website. will that be in context.xml or web.xml or will that be using newCookie.setPath() method only? The server is Tomcat 6.0. I did look online but have not found anything, to the point.
Its just that there is some problem with the session tracking and admin thinks that this requires changing path of my session cookies from /site-folder to /. Is he wrong?
It might not be something considered good programming trick, but to change the sessioncookiepath value, web-app>METAINF>context.xml file is the place. For perticulary my problem, putting following code helped: Context sessionCookiePath="" This might be due to my website structure.

Ember.js routing with parameters

I just played with ember routing example. It looks quite interesting. Especially if you are going to build all your application on Ember framework.
But parameters in url follows after '#'. That means you can't copy and send a link to someone if client has to login with postback (if only to set a cookie with login parameters). Is there a better option - maybe use '?' instead of '#'?
You may also have a look at Ember.Router.
There are two good start points # https://gist.github.com/2679013 and https://gist.github.com/2728699
A lot of fixes have been made the last couple of days.
EDIT
A brand new guide is now available # https://emberjs-staging-new.herokuapp.com/guides/outlets#toc_the-router

Vtiger: I can't add a To Do event

If I got to calendar, click on To Do, then try to add an event, the form pops up, I fill it out, press save, but no Event gets added.
In the SQL error log's I see an error like this:
2011-09-29 14:57:07 EDT ERROR: null value in column "visibility" violates not-null constraint
2011-09-29 14:57:07 EDT STATEMENT: insert into
vtiger_activity(activityid,subject,date_start,time_start,time_end,due_date,status,eventstatus,priority,sendnotification,activitytype,visibility,duration_hours,duration_minutes,location,recurringtype,notime)
values('235','Testing','2011-09-29','19:50',NULL,'2011-09-29','Not Started',NULL,'High','0','Task',NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,'0')
So, for some reason, it is trying to add a To-Do while inserting null values. My biggest problem is that I cannot locate the origin of the query. So, basically, the most important thing I am asking is what file takes the data that was input into the todosave form and turns it into a query.
I don't know if many people on here use Vtiger, but I couldn't figure this out so I went ahead and posted anyway. The official documentation is not very helpful in my opinion.
Thanks for everything, have a good day.
This might be an isolated case, but was any of the modules modified recently? In this case, I would assume that it would be the Calendar module. I've tested this on the demo website and on my vTiger installation and it works fine..
Perhaps you can download a fresh copy of vTiger and replace the modules/Calendar all its content.
By the way, another place to ask if you have any questions, is the vTiger forums.
http://forums.vtiger.com/index.php
Usually you can ask it in the Help - 5.2.1 section. Hope this helps!

URL Rewrite in DotNetNuke remove chunk of address (and read cookie?)

I am working on a DotNetNuke application using the iFinity URL Master module. (that may be irrelevant, as a solution may be platform independent)
What I have is a site with addresses based on language.
so
www.thesite.com/en/products/towels/redtowel
is the english version and
www.thesite.com/de/products/towels/redtowel
is the german version.
What I need to do is allow a user (who has already visited the site and set a cookie with their language) to be able to go to www.thesite.com/products/towels/redtowel and get to www.thesite.com/en/products/towels/redtowel if their cookie is set to english, and /de/products/towels/redtowel if it is set to german.
How would I do this?
if it was me and i didnt want to spend a lot of time programming I would look at something like this
http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=10059
then it could do a redirect based on the cookie - otherwise with iFinity I think you can do that sort of but not exactly. (I may be wrong on that - not a fan of iFinity url rewriter)
