Tomcat error 500 when using JAXB - web-services

I used a rest web service using jersey (followed this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DY46f-LZ0M) and everything works fine.
Now I am trying to use a WS which returns a basic JSON.
When I try and use it via browser I get this error
HTTP Status 500 - Servlet.init() for servlet Jersey REST Service threw exception
Question:
Where should I investigate further?
I am using: Eclipse JEE, jersey-archive-1.18, Tomcat 7
THis is my class:
package com.name.rest.status;
import javax.ws.rs.*;
import javax.ws.rs.core.MediaType;
#Path("/v1/status")
public class V1_status {
private static final String api_version = "1.00.1";
#GET
#Produces(MediaType.TEXT_HTML)
public String returnTitle() {
return "<p> Java Web Service </p>";
}
#Path("/version")
#GET
#Produces(MediaType.TEXT_HTML)
public String returnVersion() {
return "<p> version is: <p>" + api_version;
}
#GET
#Produces("/application/json")
public MyJaxbBean getMyBean() {
return new MyJaxbBean("Agamemnon", 32);
}
This is my web.xml:

The #Produces annotation on getMyBean() method should be
#Produces("application/json")
instead of
#Produces("/application/json")
(remove the leading /)
Alternatively, you can use the constants defined injavax.ws.rs.core.MediaType. That way you'll be aware of mistakes at compile time. For example:
#Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON)

This is my class:
package com.service.user;
import javax.ws.rs.*;
#Path("/user/service")
public class UserService
{
#PUT
#Path("/create")
public void createUser(){
}
#GET
public void getUser(){
System.out.println("Inside GET");
}
}
I am running it using this request: http://localhost:8080/REST_service/
And it starts fine. But when I go to call the GET request, it doesnt get called.
http://localhost:8080/REST_service/rest/user/service
I am very confused as to what's going wrong and not able to debug.
Any help appreciated!
You still need to tell jersey to scan your packages for your resource classes so it can register them.

Why Apache CXF not being used in WebLogic 12c?

I need help as I tried many things, I checked the Internet for help for many days but still having the same problem. Please any help would be very appreciated.
I am developing using IDEA Intellij 11.0.2. Inside Intellij works perfectly as CXF is used. I deploy with no error in WebLogic 12c but at runtime, CXF is not used and this is what I need to fix.
I use JDK 1.7.0 plus Apache CXF 2.7.12.
It seems for sure a configuration problem because if I debug my WebService in Intellij with a Thread.dumpStack(), I get the following (perfect! a lot of org.apache.cxf references appear):

Any idea why this is happening ? I tried many things. For instance this link (which it says validated for WebLogic 9.2 but I am using WebLogic 12c):
http://cxf.apache.org/docs/application-server-specific-configuration-guide.html#ApplicationServerSpecificConfigurationGuide-WebLogic
So I have an application.xml, a web-logic-application.xml which includes javax.jws.* as prefer-application-packages. I don't know what else to try. CXF is never used.
Some code (the WebService is just a HelloWorld example, nothing else nothing more):
1) application.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd">

<module>
<web>
<web-uri>testCXF_war_exploded.war</web-uri>
<context-root>/</context-root>
</web>
</module>
</application>
2) weblogic-application.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<weblogic-application xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90">
<application-param>
<param-name>webapp.encoding.default</param-name>
<param-value>UTF-8</param-value>
</application-param>
<prefer-application-packages>
<package-name>javax.jws.*</package-name>
</prefer-application-packages>
</weblogic-application>
3) cxf-servlet.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

4) web.xml

What I am doing wrong ? how should I deploy in WebLogic 12c to have CXF used ?

Error while migrating Webapplication from Tomcat 7.2 to Weblogic 10.3

I am getting error when deploying my Web service application on Weblogic 10.3.4.
I have changed the web app version from 3.0 to 2.5 since it is not supported in Weblogic 10.3 version.
Getting the below Exception when deploying the application:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.SpringBinding#0' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]: Cannot create inner bean '(inner bean)' of type [org.jvnet.jax_ws_commons.spring.SpringService] while setting bean property 'service'; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name '(inner bean)': FactoryBean threw exception on object creation; nested exception is java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: com.sun.xml.ws.server.EndpointFactory.verifyImplementorClass(Ljava/lang/Class;Lcom/sun/xml/ws/api/databinding/MetadataReader;)Z

My Rest service won't work in Tomcat and I can't get it to send my resource, what am I doing wrong?

So I started to read this tutorial about how to develop a Restful service with Jersey. I want to develop Rest service that sends the data from a MySQL database to an Android client. I read and followed the steps on the tutorial and made my own resource classes, but when I tried to run the service on Apache I got the following error here.
I'm just starting to experiment with web services and Rest, I have read the information related to the subject from that IBM site and I thought I got the hang of it, but I'm really lost as to why is not working.
My web.xml is as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:web="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd" id="WebApp_ID" version="2.5">
<display-name>TesterRest</display-name>
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Jersey REST Service</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.packages</param-name>
<param-value>com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.resources</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Jersey REST Service</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/rest/*</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
</web-app>
This is my resource class:
package com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.resources;
import java.sql.ResultSet;
import java.sql.SQLException;
import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.List;
import javax.ws.rs.GET;
import javax.ws.rs.Path;
import javax.ws.rs.Produces;
import javax.ws.rs.core.Context;
import javax.ws.rs.core.MediaType;
import javax.ws.rs.core.Request;
import javax.ws.rs.core.UriInfo;
import javax.xml.bind.annotation.XmlRootElement;
import com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.dao.TemaDao;
import com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.db.Connector;
import com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.modelo.Tema;
#XmlRootElement
#Path("/temas")
public class TemaResource {
#Context
UriInfo uriInfo;
#Context
Request request;
#GET
#Produces({MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON, MediaType.APPLICATION_XML})
public List<Tema> getTemas() throws SQLException{
TemaDao temaDao = new TemaDao();
List<Tema> temas=temaDao.getTemas();
temaDao.terminarSesion();
return temas;
}
}
My class for database connection works fine, so that one isn't the problem.
I'm using Eclipse 3.6 to develop and Apache Tomcat 6.
I'm completely new to JAXB, so if anyone can give me guidelines to what kind of annotations am I missing I would appreciate it.
Based on your screenshot I think you should update your web.xml to have the correct package name:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>Jersey REST Service</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer</servlet-class>
<init-param>
<param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.packages</param-name>
<param-value>com.mx.ipn.escom.testerRest.resources</param-value>
</init-param>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
The mx is missing from your configuration.
