How to remove .php or .html extension from single page? - regex

I have a website
eg : www.abcd.com in that there are many pages.
eg : www.abcd.com/one.php , www.abcd.com/two.php
I just want to remove the .php from www.abcd.com/one.php and not from all the other pages.
I have tried this part in .htaccess file.

How to change URL format using htaccess?

I want to change the format of my URL. Suppose my page is
example.com/add.php?mod=new
I want to change it to
example.com/add/new
I found the following code but it only remove file extension from the url

Ok, maybe I'm dump, but my simple rewrite .htacces rule doesn't work. I just want on my site for example www.mysite.com/something.html rewrite rule to www.mysite.com/something . I yust want to remove .html and getting content from file something.html
Now I have this in my .htacces file, but not working:

.htaccess rewrite optional trailing slash

I currently have my website excluding the .html using the following code in .htaccess:
Options -MultiViews
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule ^([^\.]+)$ $1.html [NC,L]
And this works great, but if I add a trailing slash I get a 404.
I'd like to have the option of having it work as it is now and also if I add a trailing slash at the end.

.htaccess - url rewrite that drops extension and passes argument

I'm looking for series of .htaccess statements that will convert the following urls
http://mysite.com/product to http://mysite.com/product.php
http://mysite.com/product/55 to http://mysite.com/product.php?id=55

http://mysite.com/resources/car/19 to http://mysite.com/resources/car.php?id=19

In other words, when rendering php files in my website, i want to drop the .php extension. If a url ends with a number, then i want to pass that as the id query string parameter. I also want to pass all the conventional query string parameters to my php my file like color and year.
I'm not sure how to construct such a .htaccess file.

I'm currently using hte following, but it fails to take into consideration urls that trail with a number, and passing that along as id
