Wring the Emberjs tests have certain helpers like fillIn, click at http://emberjs.com/guides/testing/integration/
But is there any test helpers for elements like selectbox, checkbox, radio and file-field?
click can do the first 3, and javascript can't automate a file field, it's a security risk.

I created dynamic action in oracle apex i.e when selecting more than one check box it displays that "to select only one checkbox" if i click ok button of this message the checkboxes should be unchecked
After the confirm DA, add another DA with plsql code
:PXX_CHECKBOX_ITEM := null;
items to submit ->
:PXX_CHECKBOX_ITEM
What Valerio wrote would work, but I am guessing this is to do with the apex.item stuff you have been dealing with.
You will need to add another DA that is triggered by clicking the ok button. Then you need to have the DA run Javascript code. Since I saw you were asking about how to run javascript, in this case you need to go into the true actions of the dynamic action and set the Action to Execute Javascript code.(For other Javascript code you can click on Page XX: Name of page in the Rendering tab on the left, and if you scroll down on the right there should be a section for Javascript)
And the Javscript code you need to execute to uncheck should be $s or something similair. https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/germancommunities/apexcommunity/tipp/6341/index-en.html is a good starting point on just these basics.
I actually tend to avoid interactive reports, I prefer Interactive Grids. But you do you. If you do get into Interactive grids I recommend you go through this: https://github.com/mgoricki/orclapex-ig-cheat-sheet
How to start a component test in Sitecore 8?
In sitecore7.5 there was a button Start Test on the ribbon, now under the Optimizaion menu in Experience Editor there are Lists section and Create a page test. But not Start test button.
Just to clarify what I'm trying to achieve. I've an Item that has a rendering in Presentation Details. On that rendering there is a MV test defined. I would like to start this test.
Sitecore 8 now has new A/B testing features.
In the Page Editor (Experience Editor) there is an Optimization tab. Here you can Click "Start a Test". Instead of just being able to test certain controls individually you can now test a complete variation of a page.
You then go to the Experience Optimization option on the Dashboard to see how well your variations are performing.
You can still test individual components in the Page Editor as before by clicking on the component and selecting the "Test a component" option in the ribbon above the component.
In Sitecore 8 you should run the component test using the workflow command "Approve with test". Take a look at this document
So I've created an require.js and backbone.js (actually marionette.js) application that basically is some sort of mobile app builder.
Now I want to create tests for it, basically testing this scenario:
Navigate to an existing project, e.g site.com/build/1234
Drag a component, check if it is added correctly.
Change properties of a component and see if they are updated correctly. I.e: I've a properties panel which lists the properties
of the selected component, than for example I've a property which
is a selectmenu and changes the size (small, medium, large). I
should be able to test this.
Now I've been searching on google, however since there are so many testing frameworks, i'm not sure which one to pick and which one provides the functionalities I need.
Potentially PhantomJS seems to be something I could use, however please advice me with some specific information.
Thanks.
if you want to actually simulate clicks, look into selenium (http://docs.seleniumhq.org/projects/webdriver/)
If you just want to test that your Backbone components(views, controllers, etc) and templates are working correctly, you can use a js test runner such as Karma (http://karma-runner.github.io/0.12/index.html) to run your tests. Sinon can mock out your ajax calls for you as well. It can use PhantomJs as a rendering engine, so you can actually render your views, and use view.$() style DOM inspection to verify the output of your views.
New to ember but trying to figure out how to allow selections on click. Once selected, I want to have the ability to select 'Remove' from the actions dropdown to remove the images from the store. Is this possible or do I have to revert to a checkbox somewhere?

What I've basically done in this update was bind a property called "isSelected" from your model to your view.
I'm then using that property in ImagesController to create a computed property called canDelete. This is used by the template in an if statement to show/hide a menu item.
Hope that helps!
I am looking into ember.js, after working with SproutCore 1 previously. I am looking for some examples on how to add and remove views from the DOM as the user navigates the application.
For instance, I have an application that contains a set of cases and each case has a workflow. There are also administration pages, etc.
When the user starts up the app, a dashboard-like user interface is shown. From here the user is able to search or click on a case in order to bring up that case. At this point I want to do the following:
I want to remove the GUI for the Dashboard, and i want to show the GUI for the case - which is a complex GUI in itself with its own set of navigation rules etc.
Also, within the case I want to add and remove portions of the GUI as the user navigates and manipulates the case.
When the user clicks on the "Dashboard" link, I want the current GUI to be removed, and the dashboard to be added again.
As this will be a somewhat large application I am not sure if toggling the isVisible parameter is sufficient, or if other measures needs to be taken in order to not overload the user's browser.
Is there a guide, or an example that shows how to do this ?
WARNING: OUTDATED ANSWER
A view inherits from Ember.View which means it gets some key methods. append(), which appends to body, appendTo(arg) which takes an argument and remove().
The argument is a jQuery style selector of where to insert the element in the DOM.
// my view
App.PartsView = Ember.View.extend({
...
});
// create/insert my view
App.partsView = App.PartsView.create();
App.partsView.appendTo('#partcontainer');
In my code I have a <div id="partcontainer"></div>.
// remove from DOM
App.partsView.remove();
The documentation has a good part on Building a View Hierarchy and later a section on Ember.ContainerView depending on whether you want to do it all programatically or not.
