I have problems with sqlite3 - c++

I'm pretty new to programming and i have never made any big project. Currently I'm learning c++ language and I want to learn sqlite3 to store data in this database.
My problem:
I don't know how to #include "sqlite3.h". I have downloaded source code from sqlite website and added files into my visual studio 2012 project and then tried to include, but it didn't work:
Error: "cannot open include file 'sqlite3.h': No such file or directory...
So yeah.. its totally noob question^^ I cant make sqlite3 to work in my visual studio project if you know what I mean.

You have to make sure that you update your project settings to include the path to the files you downloaded. simply go to the project settings, C/C++ general properties and look on the right for "Additional Include Directories". You probably need to update the path to the lib files as well.

Building C++ API of Third Party Library in Visual Studio C++ Project

I have been successfully testing an image processing library (https://github.com/libvips/libvips) in a C++ project in VS2017. I am new to C/C++ and I have been following the documentation here which describes the C way of using the library. There are features I would like to try in the C++ API, but the C++ API needs to be built with the same compiler as my project. According to the author:
It's slightly awkward to set up under Windows. The problem is that C++
does not have a ABI, so you must use exactly the same C++ compiler for
your whole project. This means the libvips C++ win binary (built with
g++) won't work with MSVC C++.
You need to copy the libvips C++ API source code into your own project
and build it with your own code. It's just a few files and pretty
simple to incorporate:

I have made several attempts to build the minimal set of files but I have not had any success.
My steps so far:
Create a C++ console app in VS2017, set to Debug and x64
Extract the 'vips-dev-8.10' folder from vips-dev-w64-all-8.10.6.zip to where the project file is (this contains all the built .dll files, .lib files, .h files etc.)
Extract 'cplusplus' folder from 'libvips-master.zip' to where the project file is (this has all the project source files including the cplusplus folder which is the part I have to build per the above explanation)
Add the following folders to Project > Properties > C/C++->General > Additional Include Directories
C:\Projects\ConsoleApplicationVIPS3\ConsoleApplicationVIPS3\cplusplus\include\vips
C:\Projects\ConsoleApplicationVIPS3\ConsoleApplicationVIPS3\vips-dev-8.10\include
C:\Projects\ConsoleApplicationVIPS\ConsoleApplicationVIPS\vips-dev-8.10\lib\glib-2.0\include
C:\Projects\ConsoleApplicationVIPS\ConsoleApplicationVIPS\vips-dev-8.10\include\glib-2.0
Add the 5 .cpp files from the cplusplus folder into the project Source Files folder and Add them in the project tree.
Build the project.
As a result I get the following errors:
I haven't written any code yet. I thought I should just be able to point to the .h include files and compile the required C++ files. It's not clear to me what else I might need to add, but it definitely seems like I don't understand the correct procedure to build the project. I watched some videos on C++ compilation like this one but I cant see where I went wrong.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I have made some changes. I have instead extracted the exact version of the library according to the suggestion by #Frank, and I also discovered the usefulness of the compiler output window, thanks #Alan Birtles.
I am still getting errors, but I am not clear why. The first error is:
E0020 identifier "VImage" is undefined
Which is odd because I have added the folders to Project > Properties > C/C++->General > Additional Include Directories, and one of them is ..\cplusplus\include\vips which contains VImage8.h
And the Output window shows
Any further advice would be appreciated!

How to include SFML source code into my visual studio 2017 c++ project and compile

I have been programming a game in c++ using the sfml library. However, I would like to adjust some of the code of that library, and use that altered code in my project.
So instead of linking the dll I would like to add the source code and then play with that source code. (e.g. for speed optimization).
I know that doing something like that is generally speaking a bad idea. Howeover, I want to learn by playing around a bit and trying different things.
So how would I add the sfml source code to my c++ project in MS visual studio. Note that I am a total noob. I already tried adding the sfml folder that I downloaded from git in the project properties page called "Additional Include Directories", but i am getting errors, of the form "Cannot open include file: 'SFML/Graphics/GLCheck.hpp': No such file or directory" so I guess that i have not yet done enough.
If you want to modify the source code in the library, all you'd have to do is just navigate to where you have SFML installed and go into the code files with a text editor and edit them.
Then, you could link the library to your VS project the same way you would normally but that library is now modified by you.
Seeing as you have a search directory issue already in VS, you must fix that first. Fix that and then go and modify the library's .hpp, .h, .cpp, whatever files in-place.
To fix the search issue.... I don't use VS for graphics, I use CodeBlocks so I am not sure about their GUI to link libraries and change search directories... but, find out where you installed SFML. Check your /usr/include/, it's probably there. Specify that path in the search directories. Just go and find where that GLCheck.hpp file is located. For Example: Say it's full path is /usr/include/SFML/Graphics/GLCheck.hpp... then /usr/include/SFML/Graphics/ or just /usr/include/ (VS might handle it recursively) needs to be in the list of SEARCH DIRECTORIES.

Using a visual studio project with an Keil application (correct include settings)

So my company has a big project with quite some files, and i'd like to use Resharper C++ to format the code.
I am still using Keil to upload/debug/build so i don't really want to change too much to the file structure.
not seeing the right include directories
I also dont need the standard windows c files to show up there.
trying to mess with the properties file, but can't get it to properly behave as i'd like...

How would i set up the properties in way it actually looks in the right directories?

i moved the project to the same location as the Keil Uvision project and copied its path variables;

created the project without solution file in the same folder as the .uvproject file and copied it's using paths.
still not recognising the right path however.

Visual C++ project can't find 'xyz.h' file for external dependencies

I have a Visual Studio C+++ project, and in the project I have some header files I want to get via the include directories setting on the project properties.
As far as I know that's all set up correctly. I've added the folder path which contains the files and the 3 files appear in the external dependencies folder under my project in Visual Studio.
The problem is that:
when I write the include "xyz.h" for one of the three files, I get "can not find file blah blah" error. This only occurs for one of the three. The other two work fine and I can include them just fine. They are all just basic headers.
Does anyone have any idea why one of my files would fail to work. Thanks
When you setting up the project properties such ad additional include directories, make sure to select "All configurations" in the project properties window. look at the image.
Sorry, the problem was that the file was being used by some background process, so the dll that I was trying to load couldn't open the file.

Visual Studio not using additional include directories for KinectBridgeWithOpenCVBasics D2D C++ Sample, but does for other solutions.

I'm working on adding some openCV features to a couple projects that use the Kinect and openGL/freeGLUT. I have downloaded and installed OpenCV using the pre-built libraries and successfully run a simple sample. Now I want to work with the Kinect Bridge with OpenCV Basics sample from the Kinect for Windows Developer Toolkit to get a better idea of how to use OpenCV with the Kinect. I downloaded the sample into my projects folder, opened the solution in visual studio and built it. I got the following errors:

Initially I thought these errors were due to forgetting to specify the additional include directories. I added the same property sheet that my other OpenCV projects use to this one, but the errors remained. I tired copying the header files into the project folder: same thing. It seems like the only thing that works is specifying the full absolute file paths in the #include statements. I want to avoid doing this because visual studio wants me to change every #include in every file used in the project, including the openCV header files. I also tried shortening the name of my project folder in case the file path was too long (though I'm pretty sure that's more of an issue for the header file paths), but again no change.
The include directories and #includes that I'm trying to use are the same as in my other projects. I'm using Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 7 x64 based system.
Why would the additional include directory work for other projects, but not this one?
Usually when I see something like this it turns out to be a bad character in one of the prior include paths or other options that's messing everything up after it. I would take a look at your the command line page in the project configuration and see if you can spot anything amiss.
