ubuntu#ubuntu:~/workspace/abc$ pserve --reload development.ini
Starting subprocess with file monitor
at start of server
usage: pserve [global_opts] cmd1 [cmd1_opts] [cmd2 [cmd2_opts] ...]
or: pserve --help [cmd1 cmd2 ...]
or: pserve --help-commands
or: pserve cmd --help
error: option --reload not recognized
Can anyone tell me what could be causing this error?
Try to move reload behind ini file like :
../bin/pserve development.ini --reload
Probably as the first argument it needs pyramid config file

i need to convert os.system() to subprocess.call()
I have 2 complex commands executing inside os.system as (cmd1 +"&&"+cmd2), I need to convert it to subprocess.call() with shell=False(for security reasons)
example of my code :-
cmd1 ="echo paras"
cmd2 ="rm -rf paras1.txt"
os.system as (cmd1 +"&&"+cmd2)
I Tried:-
subprocess.call([cmd3,"&&",cmd4],shell=False)
subprocess.call(shlex.split(cmd3+ "&&" +cmd4),shell=False)
but failed in both cases, i need to know how can i run 2 commands inside subprocess.call() separated by "&&" with shell=False.
You need to execute the commands within a shell (for example bash):
import subprocess
shell = '/bin/bash' # you may need to adjust the path!
cmds = ['echo "foo"', '&&', 'echo "bar"']
cmd = [shell, '-c', ' '.join(cmds)]
print cmd
print subprocess.call(cmd, shell=False)
Output:
['/bin/bash', '-c', 'echo "foo" && echo "bar"']
foo
bar

I have a problem with my configuration supervisor, my file is in etc/supervisor/conf.d/realtimecolonybit.conf,
When I try command supervisorctl reread, show me the "No config updates to processes" and when I try the other command like this
supervisorctl status realtimecolonybit
Shows me this error
realtimecolonybit FATAL can't find command '/home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/bin/start.sh;'
And when try the supervisorctl start realtimecolonybit
show me this error
realtimecolonybit: ERROR (no such file)
My configuration in my file realtimecolonybit.conf is below
[program:realtimecolonybit]
command = /home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/bin/start.sh;
user = root
stdout_logfile = /home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/logs/realtimecolonybit.log;
redirect_strderr = true;
My configuration from my file start.sh is below
#!/bin/bash
NAME="realtimecolonybit"
DJANGODIR=/home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/colonybit
SOCKFILE=/home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/run/gunicorn.sock
USER=root
GROUP=root
NUM_WORKERS=3

RUNDIR=$(dirname $SOCKFILE)

exec daphne -b 0.0.0.0 -p 8001 colonybit.asgi:application
When I run without supervisor like this
(realtimecolonybit)realtimecolonybit/#/ ./bin/start.sh
it's run ok and working well, but sometimes down the server
I try to run a Django 1.11 and django_channel with supervisor my app is in aws.
I solve my problem, the error was in file .conf, I remove ; and remove the .sh, change the start.sh to start
wrong command
command = /home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/bin/start.sh;
correct command
command = /home/ubuntu/realtimecolonybit/bin/start
So I have a file that is called "run_correlation_study.pbs" and "correlation_study.pbs". In correlation_study.pbs, I run a bash script that uses portable batch software(pbs) and assign 3 command line arguments that will be used in my actual program. In run_correlation_study.pbs, I loop through the command line arguments that are used in correlation_study.pbs so that I can split up my program into multiple jobs for a computing cluster. However, I have been getting errors with my run_correlation_study.pbs file when I try to run it (I turn it into an executable file before running it). I have posted both file below, run_correlation_study.pbs is listed first and correlation_study.pbs is listed second. I can provide the part of my program where the command line arguments are used but I do not think the problem is caused in there. Also, the error/text that shows up when I try to run my program is listed last.
Run_correlation_study.pbs:
for ((ARC_LENGTH = 0; ARC_LENGTH <= 35; ARC_LENGTH++)); do
qsub -v ARC_LENGTH_ARG=$ARC_LENGTH/10, RANDOM_NUM_ARG=$ARC_LENGTH correlation_study.pbs

Portion of program:
if(argc == 3)
{
double test_arc_length = atof(argv[1]);
unsigned long int seed = atoi(argv[2]);
To do floating point arithmetic from bash, you need to call out to an external program. You could do one of:
qsub -v "ARC_LENGTH_ARG=$(bc -l <<<"$ARC_LENGTH/10"),..."
qsub -v "ARC_LENGTH_ARG=$(awk -v "a=$ARC_LENGTH" 'BEGIN {print a/10}'),..."
Using command substitution syntax $(cmd ...) within a double quoted string.
I can't create a minion from the map file, no idea what's happened. A month ago my script was working correctly, right now it fails. I was trying to do some research about it but I could't find anything about it. Could someone have a look on my DEBUG log? The minion is created on DigitalOcean but the master server can't connect to it at all.
so I run:
salt-cloud -P -m /etc/salt/cloud.maps.d/production.map -l debug
The master is running on Ubuntu 16.04.1 x64, the minion also.
I use the latest saltstack's library:
echo "deb http://repo.saltstack.com/apt/ubuntu/16.04/amd64/latest xenial main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/saltstack.list
I tested both 2016.3.2 and 2016.3.3, what is interesting, the same script was working correctly 4 weeks ago, I assume something had to change.

It is located in your cloud configuration somewhere in /etc/salt/cloud.profiles.d/, /etc/salt/cloud.providers.d/ or /etc/salt/cloud.d/. Just figure out where and change the value salt to your masters ip.
I currently do this in my providers setting like that:

driver: vmware
user: 'foo'
password: 'secret'
url: 'some url'
protocol: 'https'
port: 443

Which solution stack are you using? Can you give the exact name, something like "64bit Amazon Linux 2014.03 v1.0.9 running Ruby 2.1 (Puma)".
I think you will need to replace "/usr/local/bin/bundle" with the actual version of bundle that is used for the solution stack.
Can you just try using "bundle" instaed of "/usr/local/bin/bundle"?
