SSMS tool bars customization - customization

I'm on Windows7, SQL Server 2012 and currently I've installed SSMS Tools Pack (licensed) and SSMSBoost (community free license) plugins, both really usefull and time savers.
The issue I'm having is that each time I restart ssms, usually once a week (but some days, as this morning, maybe couple of times), I need to reconfigure the visible/hidden buttons on both toolbars related to these plugins. I guess is an issue not related to the plugins but more a ssms missconfiguration. I've searched a lot trying to find where is the problem but can't find it. It's becoming really annoying to configure tools bars on each restart.
Any clue on where the problem could be? Do anyone has/had same issue?

I am developer of SSMSBoost. The reason is that we re-create the toolbar every time SSMS starts. This is due to some old issues with toolbar registration in SSMS2008. We plan to eliminate this "bad behaviour" in coming versions.

Where can I download ColdFusion 8.0 cumulative hot fix 4?

I am required to continue to support an Adobe ColdFusion 8.01 server for several more months, or more. I've come across a bug with the CFImage tag, Missing Huffman code table which causes certain JPG images to fail. This is reported as being fixed in hot fix 4 however Adobe in the failed wisdom chose to take all CF8 hotfixes offline. Guess where I won't be spending anymore of my money.
I've tried desperately to find a support site or even offline archive that has the chf8000004.zip file I need. Anyone happen to have a copy?
I am not sure if Stack Overflow is the correct venue for this question. You might get better responses on Server Exchange. However since we are here I was in a very similar situation and found this site very useful. I know they have a large folder of CF8 hotfixes

Siebel Tools can't scroll when editing applet web layout?

I've replaced my old dev laptop with a new one, and my Siebel 7.8 Tools aren't enjoying the change: the applet web layout editor gets frozen when I try to scroll.
The applet loads fine, I can add controls, move them around or remove them... but if I try to scroll, it only does so for a moment and then it gets frozen: everything inside the web layout pane (including the scrollbars) stops responding. I've also noticed a visual glitch when it happens - half of the "InfoButton" placeholder and half of the "Elemento" field are duplicated:
The rest of the Siebel Tools keep working however, I can just close the layout editor and open a new one, which will work without problem... until I try to scroll again.
It happens also if I try to show a bigger applet area without using the scrollbar (for example, if I hide the object explorer with Ctrl+E to have more room), or if I click on Preview. Only in that case, instead of a glitched layout, it shows all blank (and freezes).
It doesn't matter if it's a list applet or a form one; whether I'm connected to my local DBF database or to the server repository; if I run the Siebel Tools with or without administrative privileges...
To make things even weirder, the first time I edited an applet web layout in the new computer, it worked fine (a lot of scrolling included). The issue started with the second applet I tried to edit (but now it happens with the good applet too).
The new computer is running Windows 7 (64bits) with IE8. The old computer had exactly the same, only the 32bits version. Siebel Tools have been properly installed (I didn't just transfer my old folder to the new PC). And I've checked the tools.cfg file, specifically the WebClientSiteDir property, which points to the right folder, C:\Siebel_7.8\Tools\PUBLIC\ENU.
Any ideas, other than reinstall the Tools? Has it happened to anyone before?
Solved! I tried a lot of different things, including a full reinstall of Siebel Tools. In the end, it was much easier to fix: I just needed to enable the option "Run this program in Windows XP compatibility mode", in the Tools shortcut.
I'd swear I didn't have it enabled in my previous computer and it worked just fine, but anyway... that fixed the issue for me.

VS 2010 - Opening Win32 Application Wizard as .html file

I'm a little bit reluctant as to ask question, as it was asked already here, but the problem is, it wasn't answered sufficiently enough, so I'm forced to ask it second time.
So, just as previously mentioned asker I'm trying to create new project in Microsoft Visual 2010. And instead of showing normal window, it prompts me to save .html file, as shown in picture below.
Saving it and that opening it results in the following window:
though it does nothing - just page with no influence over the project at all.
Notably, this happens not only for Win32 application, but for MFC applications too.
As for the cause of this I don't know of it. As you can see from first screenshot, I was doing Web applications before hand, but I didn't change any of preferences at all (though, my guess is that it's somehow connected).
As for solving this issue, I tried uninstalling IE8, as stated in previous topic, but that didn't help. Also, I tried doing Tools -> Import & Export Settings -> Reset, but it didn't help either.
Please, if someone know solution for this, tell me - I'm out of my wits with this problem.
This problem is occurred because some Visual studio setting is corrupted.
I'd like to recommend to reset settings like following
start > Run> devenv.exe /resetsettings
Unfortunately, many parts of this case related to disturbing or collisions among files. In my experience, some programmes, which were installed recently, might cause this concern.
I'd like to recommend to install all service packs and update patches for VS 2010 and then try it again. If it doesn't fixed, reinstalling VS will be a relevant solution for saving your time and conserving your passion.

How to get consolidated report of project mile stones for all projects in Redmine

We are Redmine as a Project management tool. It has been working great and we are happy with it. We now have a new requirement now. Our management wants to see a report showing each project's delivery date, manager, start date, total issues, open issues, closed issues. I searched at several places for quite some time and did not get a solution. I appreciate if someone can offer help.
This is, for me personally, the single thing JIRA is better at :)
Anyway, that being said, you can get a summary of all open versions on your "my page", eh, page, by using this plugin:
https://github.com/bradbeattie/redmine-my-widgets-plugin
And you can also add custom queries to "my page".
You can get much of what you want in the issue report. Click the Summary button in the sidebar of the issues page in each project. Example
Create one generic top level project. Calendar, gantt charts, issues, etc, for the top level project will show everything for every project that's nested underneath.
If you are properly adding roadmaps/milestones to all the projects, you can use My Roadmaps plugin to get a consolidated visibility:
http://www.redmine.org/plugins/my_roadmaps
It works fine with 1.2 and 1.4 versions.

Best shortcut management tool for development machine?

As a developer I had a slew of shortcuts and applications used daily. Visual Studio 6, 2003, 2005, 2008, SQL Client tools, WinMerge, Notepad++, Synergy, VMware (and lots and lots of VMs, multiple browsers, and on top of all that about 20 shortcuts to important directories, servers, test environments etc...
The Vista start menu is a lifesaver for getting to many of them quickly. However there are plenty of daily tasks that still require a relatively large amount of work to access (open a folder, jump through a few sub-folders, find a specific file and fire it off.
What tools/applications/utilities do you find to be the most beneficial to providing organized and fast access to all of your most frequently visited tools?
What are some tools that can be embedded on the task bar of Windows that provide similar functionality to drawers in Linux or stacks in OS X? My current quick-launch bar (and other folders added to the task bar) eat up tons of real estate and insist on opening new explorer windows to display sub-directories, which suffices but is still slow and polutes my desktop.
...can't wait for tomorrow to get the Win 7 RC and its finally improved task bar
Launchy. I first heard about it from Scott Hanselman.
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I'm a big fan of SlickRun. It's basically a command launcher tool, but it's how I launch almost everything.
Check out Fences from Stardock. It's very clever, and lets you keep your desktop clean and organized, even with lots of shortcuts. Oh, and it's free.
I love Humanized Enso.
Their product is free now, although it is no longer developed by the original authors.
There is also a Google Code project that builds on a Enso prototype, which allows you to easily extend it using Python.
Short summary:
Allows you to teach shortcuts to the program
Has nice features like:
Integrated translation...
Integrated Google Maps...
Integrated dictionary
Integrated Google search
etc...
Developed by the same people that are now working on Mozilla Ubiquity
I'm pretty fond of SlickRun
I use HotKeyboard
I think Virtual Desktop Manager is a good solution if you are using XP. I dont know there is a simillar microsoft product for windows Vista or not.. :(
Quicksilver style launchers are quite common to accomplish this task.
You press a keyboard shortcut or click on an icon in the tray, that pops up a window where you can search for your programs, documents, shortcuts, bookmarks, etc.
Check out Launchy, its simple, clean and free.
