File Upload / Download - ember.js

I have a requirement where I need to upload a file onto server using Ember.JS and similar download a file from server.
Please guide me on the necessary code for this.
I am a newbie with this Framework.
Thanks

Ember doesn't upload/download files, it's a client side mvc framework. You'll need to use ajax calls for these.
I would suggest using Jquery's ajax library.

Implementing a video call interface in Django

Hey there im trying to implement a video call interface in my django application but unable to find docs .I found twilio but the support was for javascript and webrtc for nodejs.
Are there any third party libs that i can integrate in django app
You can use a third party service for this. Or you can use WebRTC. There are some nodejs packages which can help you do this. I like "EasyRTC" for that.
Or if you want to use Python, you can use Twisted. Here's a tutorial (found on Google, not tested by myself - https://ferretfarmer.net/2013/09/05/tutorial-real-time-chat-with-django-twisted-and-websockets-part-1/)
In essence, Django doesn't handle the video streaming/chat part. You can use Django for authentication and serving the required html and other stuff. But the video chat needs to depend on other services
Do like it and accept the answer if you are satisfied Thanks!

How can I diplay file list in the server with tornado

I am new to tornado and web service development, and currently implementing a tiny web for practising tornado module.
Based on the web design described in links here
After correct username and password have been submitted, I am trying to display file content of specific folder in the server, and by clicking I can either download a file or enter a subfolder.
Could anybody here tell me the way to implement this function? Thanks a lot!
This feature is not included in the Tornado project itself. You can implement it yourself using Tornado's API. An example of a project that has done so is here:

Creating and using SOAP based web service in Laravel framework

In Laravel 4 framework, how to create a SOAP based web service. I would like to build a SOA based web application in laravel. Please clarify with an example how to use web service with some step by step examples or links as i am completely new to laravel
Thanks in advance..
You can use "php-wsdl-creator" (also supports SOAP). They have a great tutorial and many demo php files to get you started. It can also easily be implemented in laravel or any other framework for that matter. :)
You can find more information on Google Code: https://code.google.com/p/php-wsdl-creator/
Also note that SOAP requires an extension to be loaded in PHP.
For more recent needs, you should use a Project such as wsdl2phpgenerator or PackageGenerator from WsdlToPhp. This sort of projects, requirable with composer, use an OOP approach and allows to build a SOAP request easily with PHP objects then handle the response just as the request with PHP objects.

Angular JS and Django

This might be a silly question that might relate to my ignorance about angular js, but is it possible to use a Django framework mostly for backend and database interactions, in conjunction with an Angular JS app/website?
I know angular js still requires Node Js for serving the data so, it seems like that would be a conflict. There was a similar but slightly more technical and specific from what I was looking for here: Django, REST and Angular Routes
What alternatives do I have if I want to experiment with Angular JS but need some database functionality?
Also how do you go about the fact that your code will be open to everyone?
Not a dumb question. But yes, it is totally doable. I put together a git seed for an angular web app with a django rest framework api. Check it out, I think it is exactly what you are looking for. Clone it down and try it out! Easy instructions to follow.
Angular-Django Seed
There is no dependency on NodeJS whatsoever. Your web framework handles server requests, and your angular app runs in the browser. You would use Django to serve the files used by the angular runtime, typically this includes a mix of HTML, JS and CSS files.
Your angular app may request data from the server, in which case it would 'call into' your Django code via an XHR request using the built in $http service (or possibly $resource service).

Integrating smartgwt and web2py

I'd like to build an application using smartgwt and web2py.
I am new to both.
Ultimately what I would like to do is display objects obtained from a web2py backend in a smartgwt TileGrid.
Can anyone enumerate the broad strokes of what needs to be done? Or point me to any useful resources?
Any information that would apply more to django is also welcome.
download smartgwt (excellent framework by the way) and look into this example:
file://localhost/Users/massimodipierro/Desktop/smartgwt-1.0b1/samples/Showcase/www/com.smartgwt.sample.showcase.Showcase/index.html#tiling_load_on_deamnd
which displays images in a tilegrid. The images are received from Yahoo via an http request. The response is in JSON. Look into the source code. To see the json response from Yahoo try the following URL:
http://api.search.yahoo.com/ImageSearchService/V1/imageSearch?appid=YahooDemo&output=json&query=snowboard
To make this work with web2py you need to replace that URL with the URL of a web2py action that returns a similar JSON response.
I do not know much about smartgwt but I am sure on the web2py google groups there are people willing to help.
Have a look at this tutorial on using web2py with Pajamas, which is another library built on GWT.
