I am currently troubleshooting an issue where we have upgraded the tfs main server (which also has the build controller on it) to 2012 update 2. However, the build, running under tfs 2010 build service, will not run. In Microsoft documentation is says you can run 2010 build service with 2010 build controller. However, can you run a 2010 build service against a 2012 controller.
As far as I know it is not possible to use a 2010 Build Agent with a 2012 Build Controller, but it is possible to use 2010 Build Agent/Controller with TFS 2012: http://nakedalm.com/visual-studio-2012-update-2-supports-2010-build-servers/
If you have the option you could install a Build Controlle on the machine where the agent is running.

I created a clean Web API .NET Core project and published it, using the default settings, to an Azure App Service, also created using all the defaults. Then I started up Visual Studio 2017 in Administrator mode and tried to attach the debugger. I got:
Unable to find a process called dotnet with arguments
.\MyCompany.WebApi.dll. The process may still be
starting, please try again.
What is wrong? Has anyone successfully debugged a App Service with .Net Core remotely. Seems like kind of a limitation of the environment if not.
EDIT: I upgraded to Visual Studio 2019 and was able to remotely debug processes running in Azure. There seems to be a critical failure with 2017 and Microsoft can't support it.
I have been working with VS2015 on a django project for awhile now. Today when I went to run the debugger I found that the manage.py script is not running It is showing that the subcommand appears to be missing-Screenshot of the start of the debugging widow opened by VS2015, listing continues to show all of the manage.py subcommands:
I can start the django code using runserver with out any errors being raised. I just at this time can no longer debug. A wee bit frustrating.
Here is the info on the current VS2015 install. **Note links removed from VS2015 info since Stackoverflow would not allow me to post with more than 2 links present at this time **

I determined the source of the problem and the solution. I encountered this on my workstation at the office and came home to try to see if the same problem occurred with an older version of vs2015.
I discovered the older version did work and that the debug setting on the project showed launch mode Django Web launcher
enter image description here
The VS2015 install at the office showed no entry in the Launch Mode. After I selected the new entry web launcher I was able to debug with no problems.
I have set up a CI server for our .NET projects. To build those projects I want to use the Visual Studio executable devenv.exe.
This worked out perfectly during the "evaluation period". Now these 30 days are over, to keep using Visual Studio on my Desktop computer, I just updated my license with one mouseclick. Doing this on the server allows me to build using the GUI, but when running devenv.exe programatically with the required parameters, I am receiving an error that the evaluation license expired, even though I renewed it.
I have already tried a clean reinstall, which did not fix the issue for me. Visual Studio on the server is connected to the same account I am successfully using on my Desktop PC.
Is there a known fix for this issue?
Figured it out. The license is somehow related to the user that launches Visual Studio. So to to automatically build projects with devenv.exe, the building agent has to run under the same user account, that installed an launched Visual Studio.
In the Windows Azure build keynote (2014-04-03) they demo Azure WebJobs. You can clearly see how they associate the current WebJob with the ASP.Net website application. However, I don't have this option available in Visual Studio 2013. Does it come with the new Web Features in Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 RC? I haven't installed it (still RC...) but it's clearly not in the release notes. I've installed the latest Windows Azure SDK for .NET (VS 2013) - 2.3.
In the video you can see the association in action:
Update:
After installing Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 RC I still don't see the option
Just found this awesome extension that I was looking for:
With this extension you can right click on a web project in Visual Studio and associate a console project as a WebJob. After doing that when you publish the web project the webjob project will be published into the correct location in your Azure Web Site
