How do I setup Sitecore Executive Dashboard? - sitecore

When I open the Executive Dashboard I get the error "No Traffic Overview data found". How can I get the traffic overview data wired up to the Executive Dashboard?
For background info, I am running Sitecore 6.5.0 (rev 120706) and I have Sitecore DMS installed and configured. I am able to access and view reports in Engagement Analytics, I am able to use the Marketing Center to create and track profile keys and personalize content. Also I am referencing the Engagement Analytics Configuration Reference Guide, and the Executive Dashboard Cookbook to no avail. Anyone with experience with the Executive Dashboard know if I missed something here?

Executive dashboard only shows data, if the data on the report has 50 visitors.
You can change this value in
sitecore/shell/Applications/Reports/Dashboard/Configuration.xml
Change the value of "MinimumVisitsFilter" to 1, to view all the tracked data for the report

Power BI - Difference between Publish to Web and Website (Portal)

I want to know the difference in the following 2 options in Power BI Service -> File -> Embed Report:
Website or Portal
Publish to Web (public)
My observation was that you can use Report Filters in Website or Portal option but Report Filters are disabled in Publish to Web option.
Can someone please answer my following queries:
When should we use each of the 2 options?
Which option needs Power BI Embedded Tokens and Capacity to use in production environment?
Can users use Filtering on the report in both the 2 options?
Thanks!
Gagan
Please find the answer below:
1.Difference between Publish to Web and Publish to Website
Publish to Web:
Report will be public
No need to Login (Anyone with the link can view the report)
With the Power BI Publish to web option :
a. You can easily embed interactive Power BI content in blog posts, websites, emails, or social media.
b. You can also easily edit, update, refresh or stop sharing your published visuals.
Publish to Website:
Report will be private
Need to Login first (Unauthorized personal can’t be able to view the report)
With the Power BI Publish to website option :
a. User who has access to that workspace can see the report.
b. User who is member of your organization can see report from that workspace.
2.You don't need the Tokens and Capacity to publish the reports to web or website.
3.Filtering with Publish to Website and Publish to Web
With Publish to Website you can use filtering.
With Publish to Web to use the filtering on the report, you need to have the Power BI Pro License.
Publish to web does not allow display of the filter pane and tabs - at least as for now according to the Microsoft - see this link and the section called "Considerations and Limitations": https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/power-bi-report-filter. So if you have filters in the filter pane you would have to move them over to the main content of the report - not ideal if users are already used to using filters on the filter pane.
Publish to website or portal will just give you an iframe with a private URL and when users load the web page they will have to authenticate.
In order to embed and authenticate on behalf of all the users you will need a token. One way to do this is using principal service account - this way you won't be supplying any user account credentials. This workflow is well documented and you can even download a test application with working code where you would need to supply your values such as workspace id, report id, tenant id, application id and finally application secret. Get started with token authentication using this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embed-tokens. Double check token expire date and set it appropriately.

wso2 dashboard user information recovery

Does the WSO2 dashboard allow for User information recovery? I am looking at it currently, and documentation shows that it allows for users to log in and manage their account. Does the Dashboard also support User Information Recovery, (i.e. resetting the password or finding a forgotten username). And if it does, what values in the configuration file do I need to modify?
Yes it does. Sort of. Here is a sample app that, I'm guessing, the WSO2 folks created.
http://cgchamath.blogspot.com/2013/12/password-recovery-with-wso2-identity.html
The example at the bottom has a readme with how to configure the server. What i did was to add a button to the dashboard login page that loaded the configured sample app, then rebranded the sample to make it look more like the dashboard page.

Error when trying to open Campaign in Sitecore 7.1

I am using Sitecore 7.1, created a new campaign in Marketing center, but after saving when i try to open it, it gives the error An error occurred while loading report data. Please try again or contact your administrator.
Same happens with Engagement plans, i get this error when i try to open it Error Loading Engagement Plan.
Try clearing the browser cache and restart browser, this usually helps.
Also. You need to approve the campaign through the workflow before publishing. And off course, make sure you have Sitecore DMS installed :-)

Custom Campaign URL in DMS 2.0

Edited
The issue (#347688) has been fixed in Sitecore CMS 6.5.0 rev. 120427 (6.5.0 Update-4) and DMS 2.0.1 rev. 120427
We have been asked to explain where the editor can customize the campaign tracking url, they have seen the feature when participating in Sitecore Training sessions, but can't find the features in the our platform that is currently fully updated.
It seems to me the feature has been removed otherwise it is hidden in {3AC13180-912F-4388-AF56-46A0F1172E70} that is missing in the DMS Installation, when looking at the insert options for the Campaign Item.
Does anyone have insight on the topic ? and if the feature is still present or has been removed for another model.
OMS / Custom Campaign tracking URL
When looking at the old documentation for Sitecore OMS the section related OMS Creating Campaign Events, it should be possible for the Editor to personalize the incomming url parameter that triggers the page visit to attach to a specific campaign.
Reference: "OMS Creating Campaign Events" page 13-14
http://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore6/64/online%20marketing%20suite%20cookbook-usletter.pdf
Engagement Analytics / No Custom Campaign tracking URL (?)
In the new DMS 2.0 / Engagement Analytics there are also Page events, and they should be attachable to Campaigns. But we can't seem to create anything under the Campaign definition even tho the first line in the documentation suggests it. Looking at the Insert options on the campaign there is a missing id: {3AC13180-912F-4388-AF56-46A0F1172E70} that suggest the installation is missing an Item for this feature to function.
Reference: "Engagement Analytics Page Events" page 6-7

Campaigns
You can associate events with specific campaigns. To register a
campaign event, beneath the campaign definition item, insert a
campaign event definition item using the System/Analytics/Campaign
data template. You can activate the campaign using the value of the
sc_camp query string parameter or you can assign a campaign to a
content item, such as a landing page. For more information about
campaigns, see the section Campaign. To change the name of the sc_camp
query string parameter, see the section The
Analytics.CampaignQueryStringKey Setting.
I have been in contact with Sitecore Support and they responded that the option of customizing the url that triggers the campaign has been removed. The documentation is misleading on the subject and they have registered it as a bug.
So yoursite.net/?sc_camp={ID of the campaign item here} or using a landing page with the campaign as trigger is currently the only way to monitor incoming links from a campaign, unless custom code is build.
Thanks for the answers.
Edited:
The issue (#347688) has been fixed in Sitecore CMS 6.5.0 rev. 120427 (6.5.0 Update-4) and DMS 2.0.1 rev. 120427
Mentioned ID {3AC13180-912F-4388-AF56-46A0F1172E70} used to be a Campaign Event template. Campaign Events are no longer used, as they were replaced by Campaign in Sitecore DMS.
In order to track it, use the following URL format: yoursite.net/?sc_camp={ID of the campaign item here}
I just wanted to add in that although it might be what they know and what they want to use, the reason that it's so obscured is because that's really not how you should be doing things and its not a practice I'd recommend since it's not really guaranteed to be tracked. The structure of DMS and the underlying database is such that I'd stick to setting things up by associating things with a campaign. Tracking is done in large part via page events that are triggered... but just amending a url will trigger a visit and a new page, but not a page event to be created unless there is something associated with that item that will trigger an event.
Campaigns are typically associated with items, or events, or engagement plans or any number of different elements of DMS. In all cases, there's a tab on the item that has an option to check the campaign to associate it with. That's how you want to be doing this which ensures that a page event is properly created and associated with the campaign.

Where can I find the data points for the Insights chart in the Facebook dashboard?

I am currently using the Open Graph API but am not opposed to using FQL if it can get me the data points I'd like. Right now I am just hitting the urls directly and not worrying about a client SDK.
Of the three charts on http://www.facebook.com/insights/ => websites I can find the data for the Site Engagement chart in the Domain Insights in the API.
However, I can't seem to find the points for Distribution on Facebook, or Referral Traffic to Site in the insight data being returned for the domain. Did I miss them, are they available maybe in FQL or are they just not exposed yet?
Edit: It looks like someone doesn't understand what charts I am talking about so to clarify, I am looking for the following anywhere in the Open Graph API, FQL, or anyplace else in Facebook:
Like Story Impressions
Share Story Impressions
Like Story Clicks
Share Story Clicks
This info is now available via the Insights app. News Feed section has some of it, at least the story impressions and clicks.
