Spring Webservice Client - Problems creating - web-services

I am new to Spring, so my apologies if this seems obvious. I am trying to create a JUnit test case that calls my webservice. I think I finally got the gist of wat I am suppose to do, but keep getting errors. I have a basic test class:
#RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class)<br>
#ContextConfiguration(locations={"/test.xml"})
public class Tester {
private WebServiceTemplate service;
#Test
public void testEntityWS(){
EntityDetailsRequest request = new ObjectFactory().createEntityDetailsRequest();
EntityDetailsRequest.CallerReference callerReference = new EntityDetailsRequest.CallerReference();
callerReference.setAuthenticationToken("ASD345F8F9");
callerReference.setRequestingEntity(123456l);
request.setCallerReference(callerReference);
request.setSchemaVersion(new Float(1.0));
request.setLegalReferenceNumberType("123456");
EntityDetailsResponse response = (EntityDetailsResponse) service.marshalSendAndReceive(request);
System.out.println("DONE");
System.out.println(response.getEntityNumber());
}
}
This is my Spring configuration:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:oxm="http://www.springframework.org/schema/oxm"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/oxm http://www.springframework.org/schema/oxm/spring-oxm-1.5.xsd">
<oxm:jaxb2-marshaller id="Jaxb2.marshaller" contextPath="za.co.discovery.finance.card.xml"/>
<bean class="org.springframework.ws.client.core.WebServiceTemplate" id="entityService">
<property name="defaultUri" value="http://localhost:7001/entities/services/entityWebservice"/>
<property name="marshaller" ref="Jaxb2.marshaller"/>
<property name="unmarshaller" ref="Jaxb2.marshaller"/>
</bean>
<bean class="za.co.discovery.services.TestEntitiesWS" id="testEntitiesWS">
<property name="service" ref="entityService"/>
</bean>
First of all - is this correct? Is this all I have to do to call the webservice (exposed by another party). Then - I am getting the error below. It is a null pointer exception on the service attribute. So looks like the config file never injects into the service? Is this possible? Any ideas why this happens? (I use to get JaxB exceptions - so I know it went to the config file).

WSO2 EI: Dataservice using giving INCOMPATIBLE_PARAMETERS_ERROR when calling through REST API

I am using WSO2 EI 6.3.0 version. I am creating data service within the application which reads data from CSV.
I am running into very unusual case where I have created two data services. One with sample Product.csv which is shipped with WSO2 EI.
When calling Sample (Product.CSV) I am able to get the json response message. but when I am trying to invoke another API which other data service it is giving me below error:

Can some one please help me. Is this a bug?

MUnit testing a flow with collection-aggregator

I am trying to write MUnit tests for my Mule flows. I want to write a test for the below flow
<flow name="DownloadFTPFileIntoLocalFlow" processingStrategy="synchronous" tracking:enable-default-events="true">
<quartz:inbound-endpoint jobName="Source-File-Scheduler" cronExpression="${source.pollingfrequency}" startDelay="10000" responseTimeout="10000" doc:name="Quartz">
<quartz:endpoint-polling-job>
<quartz:job-endpoint ref="InputSFTPEndpoint"/>
</quartz:endpoint-polling-job>
</quartz:inbound-endpoint>
<logger message="DownloadFTPFileIntoLocalFlow #[payload.getClass().getName()]" level="INFO" doc:name="Logger"/>
<set-property propertyName="MULE_CORRELATION_GROUP_SIZE" value="#[java.lang.Integer.MAX_VALUE]" doc:name="GroupsizeForExceptionAggregator"/>
<set-property propertyName="MULE_CORRELATION_ID" value="#[java.util.UUID.randomUUID().toString()]" doc:name="corelationIdForExceptionAggregator"/>
<set-variable variableName="originalPayload" value="#[payload]" doc:name="originalPayload"/>
<byte-array-to-object-transformer doc:name="Byte Array to Object"/>
<flow-ref name="ProcessCSVFlow" doc:name="ProcessCSVFlow" />
<exception-strategy ref="Default_Exception_Strategy" doc:name="DownloadFTPFileIntoLocalFlow Strategy"/>
</flow>
<sub-flow name="ProcessCSVFlow" tracking:enable-default-events="true">
<transformer ref="enrichWithHeaderAndEndOfFileTransformer" doc:name="headerAndEOFEnricher" />
<set-variable variableName="outputfilename" value="#['Mercury'+server.dateTime.year+server.dateTime.month+server.dateTime.dayOfMonth+server.dateTime.hours+server.dateTime.minutes+server.dateTime.seconds+'.csv']" doc:name="outputfilename"/>
<!-- <set-variable variableName="outputfilename" value="#['Mercury'+server.dateTime.year+':'+server.dateTime.month+':'+server.dateTime.dayOfMonth+'::'+server.dateTime.hours+':'+server.dateTime.minutes+':'+server.dateTime.seconds+'.csv']" doc:name="outputfilename"/> -->

</singleton-object>
</component>
<parse-template location="successmessagetemplate.txt" doc:name="Success Template"/>
<smtp:outbound-endpoint host="${smtp.host}" port="${smtp.port}" user="${smtp.from.address}" password="${smtp.from.password}"
to="${smtp.to.address}" from="${smtp.from.address}" subject="${mail.success.subject}" responseTimeout="10000"
doc:name="SuccessEmail" connector-ref="Gmail"/>
<logger message="Process completed successfully" level="INFO" doc:name="Logger"/>
</sub-flow>
Exception handling block
<catch-exception-strategy name="Default_Exception_Strategy">
<flow-ref name="ExceptionHandlingSubflow" doc:name="ExceptionHandlingSubflow"/>
</catch-exception-strategy>
<sub-flow name="ExceptionHandlingSubflow" tracking:enable-default-events="true">
<collection-aggregator timeout="60000" failOnTimeout="false" doc:name="Exception Aggregator"/>
<logger message="Exception has occured Payload is #[payload] and Message is #[message]" level="ERROR" doc:name="Logger"/>
<parse-template location="errormessagetemplate.txt" doc:name="Error Template"/>
<smtp:outbound-endpoint host="${smtp.host}" port="${smtp.port}" user="${smtp.from.address}" password="${smtp.from.password}"
to="${smtp.to.address}" from="${smtp.from.address}" subject="${mail.failure.subject}" responseTimeout="10000"
doc:name="ErrorEmail" connector-ref="Gmail"/>
</sub-flow>
The interesting bit is the exception sub-flow, especially the collection-aggregator
My unit test is
#Test
public void whenMultipleExceptionsOccurInFlow_itShouldSendOnlyOneFailureEmail() throws Exception {
whenMessageProcessor("collection-aggregator")
.withAttributes(attribute("name").ofNamespace("doc").withValue("Exception Aggregator")).thenReturnSameEvent();
destinationSFTP.thenThrow(new RuntimeException("Dummy Exception destinationSFTP"));
MuleEvent testEvent = PropertyEnricher.enrich(testEvent(IOUtils.toInputStream("hello,dummy,payload"))).get();
runFlow("DownloadFTPFileIntoLocalFlow", testEvent);
verifyCallOfMessageProcessor("outbound-endpoint").ofNamespace("smtp")
.withAttributes(attribute("name").ofNamespace("doc").withValue("ErrorEmail"))
.times(1);
}
Now if I do not mock the collection aggregator out my test does not pass, I can understand that this is tricky as the aggregator has a "pause" within it and hence is not an ideal candidate for a unit test, however from a technical standpoint I want to understand what is causing the unit test to fail (when collection-aggregator is not mocked).
My test fails when the collection-aggregator is not mocked.

So I've been trying to reproduce this issue:
Production Code
<http:listener-config name="HTTP_Listener_Configuration" host="0.0.0.0" port="9090" doc:name="HTTP Listener Configuration"/>
<flow name="stack-munit-and-aggregationFlow">
<http:listener config-ref="HTTP_Listener_Configuration" path="/" doc:name="HTTP"/>
<set-payload value="#['lalero_' + new java.util.Date().toString()]" doc:name="Set Payload"/>
<flow-ref name="stack-munit-and-aggregationSub_Flow" doc:name="stack-munit-and-aggregationSub_Flow"/>
<set-payload doc:name="Set Payload" value="#[payload.toString()]"/>
</flow>
<sub-flow name="stack-munit-and-aggregationSub_Flow">
<collection-aggregator failOnTimeout="true" doc:name="Collection Aggregator" timeout="10"/>
</sub-flow>
Test Code
package org.mule.munit;
import org.junit.Assert; import org.junit.Test; import org.mule.api.MuleEvent; import org.mule.api.MuleException; import org.mule.munit.runner.functional.FunctionalMunitSuite;
public class TheTest extends FunctionalMunitSuite {
#Test
public void aTest() throws MuleException, Exception { MuleEvent event = runFlow("stack-munit-and-aggregationFlow", testEvent(""));
String payload = (String) event.getMessage().getPayload();
Assert.assertTrue(payload.contains("lalero"));
} }
If you check this code you'll notice that I'm not mocking out the collection aggregator. After a few tests I wasn't able to reproduce your error.
I think the issue could somewhere else.
Could you please share you're code so I can investigate further?
World of warning though, due to an issue discovered in:
How to mock a Java component within Mule Flow using MUnit
You may find a problem if you try to directly test your sub-flow ExceptionHandlingSubFlow. But as you were not doing that in your example code I don't think those two are related.
Cheers!

Grails 2.2.1 war fails to deploy

Using grails 2.2.1 I created a war but it fails to depoly in my Tomcat 6 on linux and windows server.
At first I ran into this problem of "org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader- validateJarFile(/opt/apache-tomcat-7.0.30/webapps/abby/WEB-INF/lib/tomcat-embed-core-7.0.30.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 2.3, section 9.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class"
After a few hours of searching in stackovrerflow, and did this code to remove that error
grails.war.resources = { stagingDir ->
// Servlet JAR conflicts with Tomcat's version. See: http://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-9483
delete(file:"${stagingDir}/WEB-INF/lib/tomcat-embed-core-7.0.30.jar")

delete(file:"${stagingDir}/WEB-INF/lib/tomcat-embed-logging-log4j-7.0.30")
}
When that was resolved, I am stuck with this new error "Unexpected exception parsing XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/w3c/dom/ElementTraversal"

Kindly help me in this regard. Have been trying to resolve it since days.
For what it's worth, I solved a similar problem just by including a jar in my web-inf/lib directory which contained that class. The jar was the apache batik library (an SVG processing library) - weird, but it seems to have fixed the problem (and my site deployed). Try it with yours and see.
wget http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven2/org/apache/xmlgraphics/batik-ext/1.7/batik-ext-1.7.jar
I run into the same problem: A library (Jena TDB 1.0.0) had a dependency to xerces 2.11.0 and I got the same exception when deploying my grails application to tomcat. I solved the issue by adding xml-apis-1.4.01.jar to the lib folder of the application.
The tomcat-jar issue can be solved by changing the plugins closure in BuildConfig.groovy. The tomcat line should read as follows:
build ":tomcat:${grailsVersion}"
Using the XML-apis as below will make the error go away.
Use the below code in BuildConfig.groovy file inside the dependencies closure.
compile (group:'org.apache.poi', name:'poi', version:'3.10-FINAL');
compile (group:'org.apache.poi', name:'poi-ooxml', version:'3.10-FINAL')
compile ('dom4j:dom4j:1.6.1')
compile ('org.apache.poi:poi-ooxml-schemas:3.10-FINAL')
compile('org.apache.poi:ooxml-schemas:1.0')
runtime('xerces:xercesImpl:2.10.0')
runtime ('xml-apis:xml-apis:1.4.01')
runtime('xmlbeans:xmlbeans:2.3.0')
The Xerces:xercesImpl will have a wrong xml-api version in it. So, overriding it in the next line will fix the issue.
If you came here 2 years later because you are getting the same error from:
grails run-app
To fix it, I added this compile time dependency in BuildConfig.groovy:
compile 'xml-apis:xml-apis:1.4.01'
Then run:
grails clean
grails run-app
My Environment:
grails 2.5.4
java 8.77
ubuntu 14.04 LTS

If it works fine in development, I would be concerned about using the same version of JDK, Spring, CXF and Tomcat on dev. environment as used on Tomcat to first replicate the issue in dev. You shouldn't perform debugging in production.
I also got the same NullPointerException recently and the issue was a version mismatch between the four things mentioned above. Do watch out for them.

Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory hangs during execution

When I attempt to contact http://localhost:8080/jax/users, I get an error that reads:
javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class services.DaoHelper
When debugging, the code hangs on the first line of the DaoHelper's contructor:
EntityManagerFactory factory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("databaseU");
I am able to browse the database in Netbeans' database services panel.
What am I missing? Perhaps a missing element in the persistence.xml file?

JPA is not implementation It is a specification so you need to add one of the implementation of jpa(hibernate ,openjpa,eclipselink ..) to your class path.In your case eclipselink( <provider>org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.PersistenceProvider</provider>).
.In addition,your code trying to use same entitymanager instance but this instances not thread safe so look this how to use entitymanager and entitymanagerfactory.
