I am trying to implement same feature ( Your friend's Activity ) in an application
I am able to fetch the list of my all friends and his profile pictures Through Facebook Grap API by using javascript SDK.
FB.api('me/friends?fields=name,picture.width(80).height(80)', function(response){
.........
})
But i just want to fetch the list of those friend who are associated with an app id in other words those who have joined my website through facebook. Also is there any way to fetch activity feed of a particular user on the basis of user id and app id ?

Facebook open graph, filtering friends list array

You can read everything that is public using just your app access token. To get stuff that has limited visibility (for friends only f.e.), you should use the access token of the current user.

I am building a website using React and Redux to search facebook photos through tags like my Friends name or by location. User needs to login with facebook so that the application can read its pictures. A user simply puts in the search filters like Tagged users or the location of the picture and my app will show results based on the filters. This will help to find old photos with friends which sometimes get lost on social media due to a large number of photos present(Uploaded or Tagged)
I am trying to fetch mutual photos of me and my friends using my access token and trying to read the tags present in the photos through API but the Response contains only my name in the tags and not other people who are tagged in that photo.
Is there any way to fetch the users who are tagged on a photo uploaded? Any help is appreciated.
Graph api link
Access to any data involving your friends is only possible if those friends specifically authorized your App too. You cannot even get an ID of a friend if he did not authorize your App.
Yes, in order to access involving your friend to authorize your app. But from the details i can see that,
"A user access token may read a photo that the current user is tagged in if they have granted the user_photos or user_posts permission. However, in some cases the photo's owner's privacy settings may not allow your application to access it."
Note: Just need to verify users privacy setting once again.
I'm using the Graph API, but I can't figure out how to get a logged-in users ID address.
The intro to Graph states "The Graph API can provide access to all of the basic account registration data you would typically request in a sign-up form for your site, including name, email address, profile picture, and birthday" but to access them i need user_ID so how could i get it ?

You need to have a token from the user, check out the given link. You can see what informations you can access if you give permission to your own profile.
This ID is unique to each app and cannot be used across different apps.
I'm Using ParseServer with two different client applications. Since each mobile app is associated with a different Facebook app (different app names, logos...), the current Facebook policy is to issue a foreign user id for same users when authenticating through different Facebook apps.
We'd like to link those two user ids in ParseServer so they will share a single user account. Even when authenticating via different Facebook apps.
According to Facebook documentation the way to do that is by using the token_for_business or "Business Mapping API" to match two user IDs that belong to a single user.
However, ParseServer documentation does not indicate how to use token_for_business or "Business Mapping API".
We are currently using the /users (POST) endpoint for login and registration passing the authData structure for Facebook when Facebook auth is performed.
Assuming ParseServer uses the authData.facebook.id attribute in order to look for existing users once a new login request arrives, its possible to call the facebook API GET /me/ids_for_business and substitute the id in authData with a previously existing user id.
Is this a recommended approach?
Ideally, I'd like to just add my token_for_business to the authData in the login request and have Parse do the rest of the work. Is that supported?
Lastly, is it at all possible to link two facebook users in ParseServer? the authData structure does not seem to allow is as the "facebook" id section is no in any type of array - it seems there is no way to express dual facebook ids under a single user.. Is this changed at any future parse version (currently using Parse 1.6.14 in the client and ParseServer 2.2.19)
Thanks,
Ron
I'm not the owner of a facebook page (eg. TESLA) but I'm trying to use graph api to get the number of user that liked the pages over time. Based on graphi api documentation (insight/page_fans), I'm just getting empty json documents. Any ideas how I can get this data?
Only two page-related metrics are available publicly, page_fans_country and page_storytellers_by_country.
Everything else is only accessible to an admin user of the page, resp. using a page access token.
You can not get the data you want for pages you do not have admin access to.
Does anybody know if it possible to pull a list of the IDs for all the apps that I own in Facebook?
I know that each app has its own ID in the Graph (an example is here), but there doesn't appear to be connection between that and the ID of the Facebook user who created the app.
Basically, I need to script a management tool.
The app profile pages should be visible at /me/accounts when you use an access token with manage_pages permission - i'm not aware of any other way to retrieve a list of apps you admin
