I am using 1.5.4 opencart for my site. i am wondering from couple of hours but still not getting any accurate solution. please give me solution how i can achieve this
You just need to add some modules to the home page to the left and right columns respectively.
in Admin go to Extensions>Modules and add some modules: Layout - Home, Position - Column Left or Column Right.
The default Slideshow module setup won't look right at this point. Just disable it or change it's settings- dimensions/position etc.

I believe you misunderstood my answer:
in Admin go to Extensions>Modules.
Use Install or Edit buttons on the right side of each module you want to add to your left or right column, for example - "Categories". Then follow what I've written before.
go to extensions->module->category..
then select home as layout..

I am guessing you mean you are using Journal theme?
In left menu, go to
Journal->Super Filter
Then click add button.
It will allow you to add the filter to desired layout (which in your case will be Home, just choose it from the drop down list) and also define position (column left or column right), as well as set status on or off. You can add as many as you like, in which case you can define sort order of each one. Click Save button.

Hi i have problem with opencart 1.5.6.4,my checkout dont like to expand and to show register or login when you proces to buy the product just,show the 6 step whit out to expand,The buttons at the one-page checkout are not expanding. If u visit this link: http://imeibox.com/index.php?route=checkout/checkout u can see there is not button are not doing anything, so we cannot fill in any information or select any options. Is there a simple solution for this problem or is there bad coding behind those buttons?

Well this looks like it could be anything.
First thing that comes to mind,have you added a Jquery library to the header.tpl file recetly? if you have,there's your problem.
Try some checkups to see where the issue is coming from
1:turn off the theme you are using and check the cart again
2:Turn off any new modules you have installed
3:check your error log,and see what you have there,dont forget to check the vqmod/logs
usually that area of opencart works without a problem.so its either some code you did,the theme you are using or a bad module
DO not forget to do a backup before you do anything
I wanted to create a theme in Prestashop 1.6. So to do that I just copied Prestashop 1.6 default theme and renamed it as custom-theme. From backend I made custom-theme activeted. As per my design I wanted to make left column for the home page. So to that I made index to left column from backend APPEARANCE OF COLUMNS settings but I did not see any changes. But if I don't make any copy of the deafult theme and make change the left column in index page then the left column is coming without any problem. So can someone kindly tell me whats the issue here when I make the copy of default theme and made the left column settings for index or any other pages it is not coming? Any help and suggestions will be really appreciable. Thanks
what worked for me is doing a reset(down arrow menu, just above delete) of the module I wanted to display on the left column eg. Categories block
The columns are activated by backend:
Preferences->themes->advanced options
and there "aspect columns"
active in "index"
I basically just want to add a slideshow to a current shop. I've never used Tictail before and it was great and very easy to set up (I set it up just so I could learn how it works).
But I can't get my head around this because I can't even get to this menu:

you have to open your dashboard in the top right side then click the arrows if you need HTML otherwise you can change the templates.
