Is it possible to find what apps friends are using? - facebook-graph-api

I know a friend's app can publish to my newsfeed, but is there any way to query a user for the apps they have "installed" (either canvas or connect).
I'm not sure if this is possible using the facebook UI, nevemind the API.

It doesn't look like it. You can query to see if your friends have installed your app at /me/friends?fields=installed when you are authenticated as your app.

Creating a Mult-Tenant OAuth Client App

Essentially, I'm wanting to create an Oauth Client as an App so I can get data from Dynamics for multiple customers. Does anyone know if this is possible to do in AppSource or do you know of another way?
I have a service that will be served in a cloud different than Azure so there really isn't anything for me to submit as an App and I really don't want every customer to have to setup their own App that gives my service the privileges/access it needs, but it's looking like I may have to.
It sounds like you'll want to register an app with Azure AD (the OAuth2.0 service/identity provider for work and school accounts), and create a multi-tenant app. Then you can configure this app in the Azure Portal to get permissions to the APIs the app wants tokens to call (in your case Dynamics or the Microsoft Graph).
Once this app is written, you can code up your app using one of the Azure AD Auth Libraries. Here's some sample code for a .NET web API. You can find more code samples on Github and search active directory. Moreover, the Azure Active Directory Developer Landing Page is a great place to look for more resources on doing all of this.

appsecret_proof that spans multiple apps - kind of like token_for_business

I have a server that handles all my requests to Facebook on behalf of mobile clients. To secure the access_token from the Facebook user, Facebook recommends using appsecret_proof. I have more then one app.
Question: is it possible to get a appsecret_proof that covers all apps. Kind of like token_for_business is covering ids?
Update: I need more investigation to be able to ask.
appsecret_proof includes the App Secret, so of course you need a new appsecret_proof for every single App. Not sure why you would try using the same one for different Apps though, token_for_business is for something completely different: to identify a User between different Apps.

Accesing internal webpage using google-map signed-in button

The main webpage of my django server is a google map and I would like to use the signed=true button to give access to some gmail accounts to certain internal webpages.
My idea was to show a button according to whom was logged in using the google-map's signed-in button.
Can somebody give me some insights about if this is possible or what's the best to go with this?

I believe that the button you are talking about is part of the Google Maps Javascript API - see:

Essentially the google maps sign in does not appear to offer user authentication that can be used with python. The python version of google maps uses a server key that you set up for your app - see

This is mainly for backend functions like reverse geoname loiokup.
That said, there is nothing to stop you retaining your no sign in google map but adding either google+ authentication or google openid authentication to your app.
Both of these authentications are available through the django-social-auth project. This involves installing the python-social-auth app, syncing the database, adding appropriate oauth server details and adding the social auth project to you AUTHENTICATION_BACKENDS setting.

Authentication using Glass

We have an existing Android and iOS application that consumes REST API from our servers. The API provides a token to the authenticated users after they log in using their credentials (username, password combo.) from the mobile applications.
Now, we're planning to create a Google Glass application for the same. In this case, we'd like to use the existing REST API along with Glass also. The Glass app will be built natively using the GDK.
My concern is, how would the users be able to input credentials? Because, users may have signed up for the service using non-google accounts?

At the moment, there is no supported way for apps made with GDK Early Access to authenticate the user or provide a way to connect the Glass account to your auth system. The Glass team has indicated such methods are coming, however - the Strava Cycling app, for example, does this, and it is expected that a similar feature will become widely available as the GDK matures.
Strava Cycling appears to get its credentials at the time you setup the app through MyGlass. When you turn it on it redirects you to a website to log into Strava's service before completing the install.
I just gave a talk on this exact topic at Wearables DevCon. The solution I proposed is purely done through GDK. All the user has to do is sign into their Google Account on a phone/tablet/computer and enter a code that is shown on Glass.

Sample of using Facebook Connect with MonoTouch

I'm using MonoTouch (latest version) and I want to be able to allow the user of my app to make a wall post based on a log entry made in this app. All I need is a simple implementation so that the user can tap "Share on Facebook" (UIActionSheet) and then it logs them into Facebook (shows the login) and returns the token which I can then use to make the WebRequest to post to their wall.
I've seen the MonoTouch bindings on github but have no idea how to use it. Can someone please provide a simple sample of how to just login to Facebook to retrieve a token so I can post. I know how to do the post, it's the auth process that I'm not getting right.

I would recommend to use client-side javascript login more than native device login.
Sooner or later you might want an Android, Windows Phone or even Facebook version.
Having an In-App browser wrapper to deal with javascript and direct Graph API calls are easier for cross-platform implementation. Just from my personal experience.
