Making a clickable Phone hyperlink in a Sharepoint contactlist - list

I would like to make a <a href:"TT:0123456789?Dial"> link in a Sharepoint foundation 2010 list. If I insert it in the column as a hyperlink/single item/rich text etc and hover on it, it respons like a link, but i cannot call with my Polycom (computer connected) VOIP phone. It will only click on the complete line.
I would really like to use the SP contactlist. What would be the solution to insert a clickable dial link?

Your solution would be to create a custom field type for this. Crete a column type that, for example, displays a phone icon with your link on it. When you click your icon it will call instead of just mark the entire row. Read more about it here.

URL link defined in a column, APEX 18.2 IG

I have an interactive grid where one of the columns is a url link to a picture.
Now I want some way to click on that link and open up that link.
Except the URL links in APEX demand a static link. Also, they open up over the open window, instead of another window or another tab.
I have gone through my options, googled for a couple hours, tried to perhaps find a solution that used a DA after clicking on the field and then a JS to redirect to the URL. But my google-fu is apparently not strong enough, and so I turn to you, good people of Stackoverflow.
What I want is a link inside an interactive grid which when clicked, redirects to a URL that it gets from a column in the IG.
Set you link column like this.
"ENAME" is a column.
Example: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=150297:30:::NO:::

How to show "edit image" in Sitecore experience editor?

In sitecore "content editor" we can use the "image editor" by clicking "edit image" in the data section, but in the experience editor it is not visible.
is there a way to make available for editors to use the image editor? or this behavior is a sitecore standard?
thanks for help
Picture field
I've just written it up in a blog post.
First you'll need to add a new button under
/sitecore/system/Field types/Simple Types/Image/WebEdit Buttons
You can duplicate one of the existing ones and change the icon and text yourself. Make the contents of the Click field:
chrome:field:editcontrol({command:"webedit:changeimage"})
(there's already a webedit:editimage so we can't name it that).
Open App_Config\Include\Sitecore.ExperienceEditor.config and duplicate the entry for webedit:chooseimage. Change the command name to webedit:changeimage as per above. Then change the type to the class you will create below.
If you have access to a decompiler, take a look at the existing command Sitecore.Shell.Framework.Commands.Shell.EditImage as well as the existing command
for selecting an image in Experience Editor Sitecore.Shell.Applications.WebEdit.Commands.ChooseImage. You'll see that they're similar, but unfortunately they use two different
methods of opening a dialog (Windows.RunApplication and SheerResponse.ShowModalDialog) so we can't reuse the existing class as-is. I have created a class that uses a bit of both (link below).
Create your class (eg. EditImage.cs), make it serializable and inherit from WebEditImageCommand like the other EE buttons. I have posted the full class as a gist for you.
When you select an image in the Experience Editor, you should now have an extra button in the list which opens the image editor in a modal window when clicked.
You need to do next steps, is not the most elegant way but you can do it:
In the Experience Editor, click the image that you want to edit, and in the floating toolbar that appears, click More and then Edit the related item. This opens the item in the Content Editor, from where you can scroll to the field that contains the image and click Edit image.

Sharepoint 2010

I need help.
How do I programatically create a list of external links where you can choose if you want to open the link in a new window or not?
If i have understood what you are asking then I did something similar for SP2003:
Add a column to the Link list called 'New Window' of type 'Yes/No'
Using FrontPage (it was a while ago) I modifed the XSLT for the view (it was the only view and accessed via a listview webpart on the homepage): if New Window = Yes then render the link with target="_blank"
I think the theory for SP2010 should be the same.
Or you could just let the users decide.

How to hide the list ribbon in XSLT List Web part in SharePoint 2010?

In SharePoint 2010, I have a custom list "Clients" on a site. On the home page of the site, I have added a Clients List Web Part. When I access the home page in a browser and click anywhere in that list, it displays the "List Tool" ribbon group which has "Items" and "List" ribbons. I do NOT want these ribbons at all when clicking on the list. How do I achieve this? Should I disable the click event on the list so these ribbons do NOT appear? How do I disable the click event on the list? Or What should I do to hide these ribbons when clicking on the list?
Basically I want it to behave same as content query web part. In content query web part, if you click anywhere in it, it doesn't show up any extra ribbons. I want the same behavior with list web part.
Thanks
Hitesh
One approach would be to follow the tutorial outlined in this blog post: Remove actions from the ribbon: SharePoint 2010
The end result is a UserControl that you can place on any page and "trim" (i.e. hide) certain portions of the Ribbon: entire tabs, or individual groups or buttons on the ribbon.
If you follow the prescribed solution from the blog, then you would add the following lines in your Page_Load event:
SPRibbon ribbon = SPRibbon.GetCurrent(this.Page);
if (ribbon != null) {
ribbon.TrimById( SPRibbon.ListTabId );
ribbon.TrimById( SPRibbon.ListItemTabId );
}
Additional ribbon element IDs can be found at:
As referenced in the CMDUI.xml XML file
As defined by public fields on SPRibbon (used in example above)
Of course, the downside to using this approach is that the particular ribbon elements you hide are hard-coded in the UserControl. To get around this, I used the UserControl as a basis to create a Web Part that allows you to define which ribbon elements to hide via a property. It works great and is generic enough to be applicable to many different scenarios.

How to add a hyperlink column in an UltraWebgrid that will redirect me to a popup window

I am pretty new to Infragistics controls and finding it hard to add a hyperlink column to the ultraweb grid. Can anyone help me out with this.
Currently, I am binding the data coming from the Database to the grid.
To this data I need to add a hyperlink column "View" that will redirect me to a popup.
I need to pass some values from this page to the popup.
Need pointers if this can be done on Javascript.
I am unable to get the code anywhere.
It would be really helpful if someone can help me out
Regards,
Sunitha
If you know HTML it is actually pretty simple to do. On the Initialize RowLayout method of the UltraGrid and reference the cell you want the hyperlink to go into and within the text property place the link there using HTML and include parameters within the HTML to pass to the popup.
If you are using a fairly recent version of Infragistics, they have a Modal Popup window that you can use which is fairly easy to integrate and use, and with this you do not need a javascript popup. You can use the ClientSideEvent BeforeSelectChangeHandler to open the Modal popup and pass values into there by referring to other cells within the row.
