I have a shared Cpanel host with the Litespeed web server. I want to deploy a Django application on it. After creating a Python application inside the Cpanel where I have not deployed the application on the host I try loading the website, and instead of displaying the Django version, I face 503 Unavailable!!
Also inside the "stderr.log" file, there is the following error.
/usr/local/lsws/fcgi-bin/lswsgi_wrapper: line 9: /opt/alt/python39/bin/lswsgi: No such file or directory
I'm creating the application with Python 3.9.
But it works when I create it with Python 3.8 and show the following message when I load the web,
It works!
Python 3.8.6
The issue is mostly caused by the lack of the Python 3.9 WSGI package. On out-of-date versions of LiteSpeed, the package needs to be installed manually.
To work around this, first ensure that LiteSpeed is up to date. LiteSpeed must be at version 5.4.10 for this to work. Once that is confirmed, execute the following script from LiteSpeed. It will pull the required Python Selector packages:
/usr/local/lsws/admin/misc/enable_ruby_python_selector.sh

I setup a django "hello world" app IIS (Windows Server 2012). The application is run successfully using the Django web server. However, when I tried to install in on IIS (following the instructions provided here) I get an HTTP 500 error with the message "python.exe - The FastCGI process exited unexpectedly".
I have seen numerous related posts on stackoverflow, but nothing seems to work for me. Based on the guidance
I have checked file permissions on both the app and virtual environment folder but they in my opinion this should not be the issue as the users IUSR and IIS_IUSRS can Read & execute, Read and List folder contents.
I have tried also to run wfastcgi-enable based on the instructions provided by this post but I get the error "ensure your user has sufficient privileges and try again". Please note that I tried running it both from an "elevated" command line and also power shell with no results.
I have reinstalled python to make sure it is installed for "all users" (as suggested by this post) but I get an error "0x80070659 - This installation is forbidden by system policy".
I looked in the Event viewer but I could not find something useful.
My questions:
Is there a specific log that I should check? How could I find it?
My django app does not have a web.config file. Should I create one?
My setup: Windows Server 2012 R2, IIS 8.5, Python 3.9.1
I just installed oracle apex 20.2 and oracle data service (ords 20.3).
I am trying to run an application created in Apex but Ords gives me a 404 error yet I believe I have followed the documentation and the configuration of ords.
The error image:
I had a similar issue when I imported an application.
Try this: in application properties untick "Friendly URLs" and run it again.
I downloaded wso2 application server 5.0.0. I placed it on my windows server and attempted to execute wso2server.bat --run. When I do that, I receive this error:
The system cannot find the batch label specified - commandLifecycle
If I look in the wso2server.bat file, I see that the commandLifecycle label doesn't exist.
Has anyone else run into this same issue?
Edit: I just tried running 4.1.2 and I did not have the same problem.
I just run the shell: wso2server.bat without the parameter [--run] and it start ok.
Currently I am attempting to install the Jetty WTP Server Adapter for Eclipse 3.5 and get the following errors:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context was:(profile=epp.package.jee,phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor,1.0.4
No repository found containing: org.eclipse.update.feature,org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor,1.0.4
To install, I attempt to add a new server runtime, click 'Install Additional Server Adapters' and follow the wizard I get when I click on the Generic Jetty Server Adapter that eventually loads. I've had this error in all the RCs up to this point, but currently the active RC is RC4.
I also found the 'Download additional server adapters" route to adding the Jetty (and Glassfish) server adapters failed, with the same dependency issues as the Original Poster.
Downloading the .jar and copying it into the 'plugins' dir of my Eclipse install idd not work. The Jetty server adapter was still not a recognised installed plugin.
I had to go to "Help->Install New Software->Add..." and enter the http://www.webtide.com/eclipse site manually. Then I could see the Jetty adapter, and install it successfully. It seems to have installed into the eclipse/plugins/ rather than copied a .jar file into eclipse/plugins.
This may be what the poster on 2 Jul was trying to say, but it wasn't very clear.
I don't know why, but the "download additional server adapters" dialog hasn't worked for me once with Eclipse 3.5, the install always fails with dependency issues.
I also found I had to manually install all the WST Adapter items to get around failed dependencies, for example:
"Web, XML and Java EE Development->JST Server Adapters", "WST Server Adapters"
and also the "Database Development" items. I'm not sure which were required.. when I'd installed everything that looked likely, all my dependency issues were resolved when installing the Glassfish and Jetty server adapters from their update sites.
There's a new (official!) Jetty WTP Plugin to support Jetty 7.x and 8.x: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Jetty_WTP_Plugin
The problem could be resolved installing the JST Server UI before the Jetty Server Adapter. It is a current bug (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=321663).
That way you can install it either as a plugin or in the servers view.
I think you need org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor.1.0.4.jar to install jetty adapter, download from http://www.webtide.com/eclipse , put it in plugins of eclipse.
Hope the answer could help you.
