apprequests show count, but no app info in apps tab - facebook-graph-api

I'm developing a FB app, and using the apprequests object via Javascript SDK to call the invite dialog to choose friends to invite to the app. The requests are going out fine, and I see the "App Requests" count in my test user's sidebar increment. However, when I go into "App Requests" there is no app to accept.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? I've searched everywhere and followed the documentation as far as I can tell.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Adam

Android LikeView error

I'm using facebook android sdk v3.19.1 in my android app. I try to use LikeView, but it's only working with users who added to the facebook app settings in the roles section as developer or tester. If I try to click the like button with a normal facebook user or a test user it's appears and disappears quickly and gives back the following error message:
error_description: The like dialog is only available to developers and testers.
error: server_error
error_reason: dialog_disabled
My app is pubilc and I turned on the Single Sign On and Deep Linking options.
I'm using facebook LoginButton and ask for "publish_actions" permission before the user click's the like button, but it's still gives me the error message.
My problem is that I can't make the like button working with test users. I submitted the like button for review to the facebook, but they gives me the following response: Please confirm your app is working correctly and that you can publish likes with a test user.
Please somebody help me to solve this. Thanks.
I have the same problem. I found this on the Facebook docs.
Test users cannot become a fan of a public Facebook Page or create
content on them, such as writing on a Page's wall. A Test user can
however view and interact with any app tab on the Page associated with
the app that created them.
Are you using the FB test user account for your app? Test accounts are not allowed to Like a page. I had the same problem. I changed to using my actual FB account and the LikeButton worked perfectly fine!

Desktop App Workflow Error When Logging In

Our desktop application integrates with Facebook using the desktop app workflow and for approx. 18 months has been working without any problems. However, we are starting to get reports from some users that they cannot get past the login process.
When the login is successful Facebook should be attaching the access_token to the redirect_uri. Our application detects this and moves the user to the main part of our Facebook integration. What appears to be happening in some situations is that the access_token parameter is missing which causes our application to leave our embedded browser window open with the following message from Facebook:
"Success
SECURITY WARNING: Please treat the URL above as you would your password and do not share it with anyone."
What is strange is that this does not occur with all Facebook accounts and which Facebook accounts it occurs with seems to be changing. For example, we had a report of this approx. 1 week ago but could not duplicate it with my own Facebook account or with a colleague's Facebook account. Today, I still cannot duplicate it with my own Facebook account but my colleague now gets the problem.
The URL our code sends to Facebook is:
https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=xxxx&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&type=user_agent&display=popup&scope=read_friendlists,user_photos,friends_photos,user_photo_video_tags,friends_photo_video_tags,user_events,friends_events,user_groups,friends_groups
Reading the latest API documentation it looks like they recommend a different way to connect which we have also tried:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=xxxx&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html&scope=read_friendlists,user_photos,friends_photos,user_photo_video_tags,friends_photo_video_tags,user_events,friends_events,user_groups,friends_groups&response_type=token
To rule out our application as the cause we have tried these URLs directly within a web browser. What we find is that when using my Facebook account the browser re-directs to the success URL that includes the access_token parameter but when using my colleague's account the browser re-directs to the success URL that includes the access_token and then immediately re-directs again to the success URL without the access_token.
so... As far as we can tell this is either:
a) A change to the API which we cannot find documented anywhere
b) A bug in Facebook
c) Something that is now controlled by the user's Facebook security settings
Is there anybody who could explain why Facebook is acting differently with different accounts and how we can go about fixing this?
Thanks.
Kevin.
I have the same problem in my desktop applications.
And I just solve it with careful reading in ht*ps://developers.facebook.com/docs/howtos/login/login-for-desktop/. The solution is to change redirect_uri from ht*p://www.facebook.com/... into ht*ps://www.facebook.com/...
Hope this will help you just like it help me
NB:
change ht*p into http
sorry i have to change the http into ht*p so that i can post the answer.

Open Graph Protocol, Facebook App & Facebook Like Button on Website

So I set up an App to handle open graph protocol setting for my website. I embedded the open graph protocol metadata into the site and I added a Facebook like button that ties to the home page. I ran it through the linter and everything looks good. But when I look at the administration interface in Facebook, it shows a different number of "likes" than on my page itself. Also I thought by setting it up in this way I would be able to see who liked my page as well. Finally, when I go to my website and I am logged into facebook, it does not show an "admin page" link which I thought it is supposed to do. I have been looking all over the Facebook developer documentation and cannot seem to find an answer. Thank you!

Add To Timeline button not requesting publish_actions permission

I'm using the xfbml Add To Timeline social plugin (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/add-to-timeline/), but when I click it the permissions dialog I get just says "Access my basic information" and sure enough it isn't actually getting me the publish_actions permission I need to use the timeline. I tried specifying the perm explicitly on the tag like so:<fb:add-to-timeline show-face="false" mode="button" perms="publish_actions"></fb:add-to-timeline> but no luck.
This was working fine yesterday and suddenly now it isn't. I'm wondering if this has something to do with my adding and removing my app from my facebook account multiple times?
This was driving me crazy for a long while. In my case, I fixed it by enabling 'Enhanced Auth Dialog' under the Advanced tab of my app settings.
When asking for publish_actions Facebook shows a preview screen of what sort of aggregations your app will create on their timeline.
In other words, if the preview isn't working, Facebook won't ask for the permission so you're asking in vain. Facebook doesn't make this clear in the docs, but everything needs to be perfectly setup with your app on Facebook to get this to work right.
Enable Enhanced Auth Dialong in the advanced settings of the app
Make sure you have at least one action and one object set up in the open graph section
For each action you must have an aggregation set up.
If you do not do all of these steps, there can be no preview and so Facebook won't ask for permission no matter what.
I faced the same issue. I fixed it by doing the below mentioned two thiings.
a. Enabled 'Enhanced Auth dialog' from 'advanced' setting of the app.
b. blanked 'user and friend permissions' along with 'extended permissions' tab on 'auth dialog' page.
I am not sure what it did, but it started working.
BUT.. Even though the authentication works and the posts are reflecting on my timeline, the add-to-timeline button still shows, 'Add to Timeline'..
The other trick i used is to keep checking the app permissions under account setting tab of my profile page.
Hope this helps !
From Apps -> Settings -> Auth Dialog:
While in Open Graph Beta, the 'publish_actions' permission can only be
requested from developers and test users of your app. The
'publish_actions' permission will be ignored if requested from any
other user.
I had the Enhanced Auth Dialog enabled in the Advanced Settings, yet this did not work until I added a Aggregation Preview for the activity. Strange, but true.
Hope this helps.
The publish_actions permission appears only if the user has added timeline OR if your app is a game. I suppose it will also be available for apps when Timeline will be rolled out to all users...

Facebook integration... Where to start?

I recently put a django project of mine into its beta stages and would really like to integrate more with social media, particularly facebook.
Now there are so many facebook integrations out there... I don't know where to start but, I'll tell you what I am after.
My sites publishes content with photos and also user related data (which site doesn't)
on each individual page I already have a facebook like button that basically has the absolute url of that page
so for instance:
http://my-site.com/url-1
http://my-site.com/url-345345
http://my-site.com/url-456456456
When a user likes this particular url I would like them to become a Fan on my facebook site/page as well.
I also added the FB opengraph tool which is a bit more informative once a user likes it. But it still does not publish any statistics to my page.
Can someone give me a bit of an understanding on what the best option is for this type of integration?
As a security option for the user, Facebook has never allowed third party access to "become a fan."
If you want to record locally when someone presses the "Like" button, you'll have to implement it locally (copy the presentation, and query Facebook yourself), so you can intercept the event. I've done that; it's not too hard.
I suggest you review the Connect Terms of Service to see what it is you're allowed to do: http://developers.facebook.com/policy/
